My family and I stopped at this fine establishment, I was not expecting the quality of the meals here. My husband had a rueben with onion rings, "one of the best rueben's he ever had." My son had the short stack blueberry pancake, he enjoyed these- hard to please a teenager. Daughter she enjoyed the "BELT"- bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato sandwich was enjoyed with gusto. Corned beef hash made with real corned beef, crunchy home fries and eggs cooked just right. The pancake is light and fluffy and a big as the plate! Hand-formed sausage patties have lots of flavor. Great coffee too. Friendly and efficient service. All in all a really good place to eat! You might even want to try their house dressing; very versatile and tasty--they sell it in bottles, too, so we took one home. This place is a super cute little diner. A little off the highway but well worth it. We went for breakfast and had the biscuits and gravy with home fries and the hash. The gravy was amazing !! The hash had a flavor i was unfamiliar with maybe nutmeg ? It could do with out this and the hash could be more cubed vs shredded but overall it was okay. Now ... Great onion rings, hand dipped !! The wife and I took the short trip to New Concord this morning to try a Scott's Diner breakfast that we have been seeing such good reviews on. We were pleased to find the food was just as good as the reviews suggested. I had the Western Omelet with fried potatoes, toast and a side of gravy to try out. The wife had the French Toast with a side order of Bacon. Both meals were well above average. Plenty of great quality food! Our waiter, Heath, was as friendly as they come, and his service was top quality. Was the meal a good value? Just be aware that there is a pretty substantial charge for any add on's like bacon or gravy. So, how do we rate our experience at Scott's Diner: the food quality gets a 5+,the service gets a 5+, the facility gets a 4, and the value gets a 4. Will me travel to Scott's to try another meal? My son is attending Muskingum this year, and we have visited Scott's diner twice while out to visit. The staff is always very kind, and the food is delicious! My only complaints are the size (not big enough!), and that it doesn't open until 9 on Sunday's, so we can't hit them up twice in the weekend before heading home. read more

My family and I were passing through the area to Columbus and I found this place on yelp. We decided to stop and try breakfast. First of all this place wasn't what I was expecting. It was a lot smaller BUT I was so glad we went. It has such a nice small home town feel to it. The waitress was VERY nice. I would have taken pictures of the food we ordered, but we were so hungry when we got there we inhaled it when it got to the table. The food was really good and served very quickly after ordering. The home fries portion size was a little overwhelming. They didn't treat you like a customer here. They treated you like a friend. My daughter can be picky and she said she would like for us to try and stop for dinner when we come back through. So yeah she enjoyed it. I have nothing bad to say. The husband and wife team did an excellent job completely renovating this old restaurant , so now it is clean, bright and modern. We are fortunate to live here and get to enjoy Scott's often. The breakfast is always done right and tastes amazing. The French toast is my absolute favorite because of the cinnamon swirl bread but the chili cheese omelet is perfect. If you are there for lunch the Reuben is one of the best I have had. You most defiantly will not leave here hungry. The servings are great! Oh the coffee is great too!! Besides having high quality food, the staff is what makes the atmosphere. The owners are so pleasant to talk to and are always happy to see each customer that walks in, the new and the frequent flyers. The front staff are all so pleasant and enjoyable.
