I've been in the market for a diesel pusher and live in California, so I communicated with multiple…read moredealers before narrowing down a few to visit in Arizona. In every conversation, I explained exactly what I was looking for and asked salespeople to be upfront about any flaws. I also requested photos and videos because I wanted to use my time wisely before making the long, hot trip to AZ. When I connected with Alex and Alfonso at Specialty RV about two of their rigs, they stood out immediately. They were very detailed about both the good and the bad, took the time to do a video call, and sent plenty of photos. Once I made the trip, the difference was clear. Other dealers had not represented their inventory accurately, but Alex and Alfonso at Specialty RV were spot on with every detail. They were professional, friendly, and there was absolutely no pressure. I haven't completed a purchase yet, but based on my experience so far, I have to say working with them has been exceptional.

After two phone calls, multiple texts, and three days later, Kyle gave me no answers. He said that he was waiting for the boss to give him an answer, then said that the boss was in meetings all day, then said that he (Kyle) was at a Renegade function and when I asked to talk with someone else, he said that the non-answer must have been an answer "no" to my question. Wow! That is pathetic customer service! If it took three days to not get an answer on four rear tires, how long would it take to write up and process the deal and get the coach serviced so I could pick it up? He admitted that they had the coach unsold for 6 months and had another buyer that had not been able to get it bought either . I certainly know why.

HOWEVER,  Velocity Truck Centers' repair work was overpriced and most of the charges not covered by extended warranty.  Example:  1.7 Hours to diagnose a leak, 2.2 Hours to Remove and Repair, and 1 Hour Access.  (Total:  $1,219.40)  WOW, that doesn't include the part!  The location of the repair was at the rear of the coach, top of rack support, removing a few screws.  Extended warranty company paid for 2 Hours.  (Total:  $250.00).  We had to pay $869.40 because neither company would budge and we needed our coach back to get to a commitment. Note:  We took our RV there due to an Engine Light on and they work on Freightliners.  While we had it there they recommended to perform PM.

The RV Guy shop demonstrated very little regard for customer satisfaction or accountability…read more I was originally quoted 1-2 weeks for the repair, but my RV remained at the shop for 7 weeks. During that time, I received no updates until I was notified that the repair had been completed. There was no diagnostic fee disclosed upfront, no estimate provided, and no discussion of repair costs before I was presented with the final bill. The original issue was a hydraulic jack that was not operating properly. According to the shop, their diagnosis determined that an undersized factory ground wire was the problem, and they replaced it with a heavier-gauge wire. When I picked up the RV, the technician demonstrated that the jack was now functioning, although very slowly. He attributed the slow operation to low battery voltage, and I took him at his word. After bringing the RV home and connecting it to 50-amp shore power, I lowered the jacks to test the system. The same jack that had supposedly been repaired would not retract. I immediately contacted The RV Guy and was instructed not to force the jack up. I was told they would speak with the technician and call me back with instructions on how to retract the jack. That return call never came. Three days later, I followed up with the shop. I was told my only option was to bring the RV back in, and that I would be financially responsible for any additional diagnostics and repairs. Since the original repair had not resolved the problem, I requested either a refund or a new diagnostic evaluation at no charge. Both requests were denied. I explained that, in good faith, they should at least send their mobile technician to diagnose the actual problem since I was still experiencing the exact issue I had paid them to repair. The only accommodation they offered was to send a mobile technician to verify that the ground wire they installed was not causing the problem. If the wire was not at fault, I would once again be responsible for the service call and any labor charges. After paying approximately $600 to replace a 12-inch ground wire that did not solve the problem, I decided to cut my losses and take my business elsewhere. My biggest disappointment was not the unsuccessful repair--it was the lack of communication, accountability, and willingness to stand behind their work when the original issue remained unresolved.
