Absolutely NOTHING negative to say here. I am southern CA local and work in downtown Encinitas (5-min walk to the Gallery). Over the past few months I have stopped by during my lunch/breaks to window shop, look at some of the unique items/putters they have for sale...but more so just to see some of these tour putter in person (those that are still in the window and did not sell out within minutes of the Gallery opening). I got to talking with an employee there one morning (Joey) who was very open to discussing anything and everything with me. Him and I have chatted a handfull of time over the months when I stop by and he happens to be outside. Super professional, extremely knowledgeable about all things Scotty-related, and above all else very friendly. It's like we're just sitting at the Starbuck across the courtyard and talking shop. I can tell he takes pride in working for Scotty. I have/had a lot of questions, and he's more then willing to take the time to go over things, explain them in detail and even show me the finer details/difference between putter heads, milling and overall aesthetics. Epic experience I have had thus far, and I hope to continue our relationship moving forward. Also, zero pressure to buy anything while you're there. The service here is second to none. Pre-Covid I would walk around the store and the staff was always nice, greeted me with open arms, and was always willing to tell me more about the different golf items I had questions on. Although the indoor shopping experience has vanished, the excellent customer service has not. When window shopping, you will always see the staff walking around outside talking with customers and offering assistance. Earlier this week, I made the 3 hour round trip drive to visit The Gallery. Fully excited to shop for more golf treasures, I arrived earlier than anticipated and they were out to lunch (which is normal 12:30-1:30). What struck me was the sign posted on the door stating that they were having issues with their systems and were not going to open back up until 2pm that afternoon. I waited for a few hours and at 2pm one of the managers let a few of us that were waiting know that they were going to close for the rest of the day. Imagine my disappointment. I was so excited, elated even, then gutted. The manger offered to take note of the items I wanted from the windows, and would call me the next day when their systems were back up. She also offered to overnight the items to me at no additional charge and apologized for the inconvenience. I completely understood that it was not her fault and appreciated the extension of her service. As promised, she called me the next day to confirm the list of items I wanted. Those items arrived promptly this morning. This is just one of the reasons I frequent this store and happily make the pilgrimage. Service is my number one consideration when shopping anywhere, especially luxury stores. The service here is top notch. read more

I am an avid Scotty Cameron enthusiast/collector. I come to this store at least 1-2 times per week sometimes 1-2 times per day. And it's a 30 minute drive for me. But I do love all things Scotty and the people in the Scotty Community. I don't really sell his items unless it doesn't fit or I get a replacement. Most items I have are on the course with me or part of my small collection. I know that it is difficult managing how to distribute such rare and desirable items. I couldn't imagine the difficulty sometimes and I applaud them. I feel I've always tried to be nice and friendly and will continue to support Scotty and buy a lot of items from the Gallery. I apologize if my Putter and Patchwork question made a Scotty Rep mad at me. That was not my intention. And I greatly appreciate the other Scotty Rep for coming and explaining some things and mediating the situation. I just hope that Scotty and the Gallery Crew know that I am a loyal customer and will continue to be. read more

I am very disappointed. I heard they have the best putters in the game. For 675$ they should. I am in town from Tampa so I thought I would go have one fitted then probably buy one. For some reason the gallery is one of the last stores still shut down to customers, can't go inside. The salesman at the gallery suggested I look at their putters through a window and maybe try it on a sidewalk. What kind of crap is that. Certainly not the service compatible with a "high end" item. I received a GOLO 3 putter as a gift a few months back and one of the cherry dots fell off. Called the cameron shop to get it repaired and and guess what. The salesperson said, the minimum charge for all repairs is $45, but he added, you could buy a grip for that amount and have the putter repaired at no cost. Whoopee! Talked to the manager and he said that there was a warranty of one year and it is company policy on their returns. A one year warranty for a #365.00 putter! What? What can go wrong with an expensive "high class" putter? a cheaply attached paint chip. WTF? Checked online and found out that this is a common problem with these putters. Scotty Cameron set the gold standard in putters but is lost in the dark ages of used car lot mentality for product warranty and customer satisfaction. Every customer from Justin Thomas to a hard working golfer who saves his hard earned money to buy a "Scotty Cameron" and be stuck "Scotty ?Cameron" doesn't back up his product. Ping does and they don't put a caller on hold for 5-10 minutes and then give the run around about "company policy" and nothing can change that. They back up their product 100% and every time I deal them I feel like a VIP. Try doing that to Justin Thomas. C'mon Scotty, you set the gold standard in putters but your warranty and customer service sucks. read more

Considering I've owned about 30 Scotty Cameron putters since my first Newport Teryllium back in the 90's, it pains me to write this review. I wanted to get a special gift for my 50th birthday and thought of a Circle T. I was very excited to visit the Encinitas gallery since is so close to my home. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when upon entering the gallery I felt as though I was being sized up. It's San Diego, a golf shirt and shorts shouldn't be shocking attire. After a brief eye contact, the gentleman then went about his business. No greeting, no offers of assistance, nothing. Twenty minutes later, still not a word. Considering I was the only person in the gallery, I find this pretty disappointing. I guess what was on TV was more important than paying clients. I will be contacting Tyson Lamb in the future for high end putters. read more

Well, yes we are in a pandemic so the store is only for "window" shopping. So you have to line up for a representative to be available. So I waited for a few minutes, once it was my turn, I got the full 18 hole tour of what the Scotty collection is and what would most likely match my putting stroke. Stopped by the Gallery as I was in the area for a week for a trip with the family. Unfortunately you cannot go into the gallery and everything is displayed in their windows to browse. Joey helped me out that day and was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and nice. We chatted about putters and life. Really friendly guy. Picked out a few items with his help. Unfortunately no circle T putters were available when I stopped by but I still had a great experience overall. Would recommend a visit if you're in the area. read more

Let me first say, I'm 32, and a Army Veteran who was wounded in combat. I now live on a fixed income. That being said, I do everything I can to swing a club every day. I'm a 5 handicap, I play high end equipment, and I live and breath golf. I LOVE Scotty putters and accessories, unfortunately the only way to get anything is with a club Cameron membership, but literally EVERY year I strike out. This year was the worst of all because they purposely decided to randomly open it. I spent weeks checking the site and I probably missed it by an hour or so. The extremely limited releases of gear and the high prices create the price gouging on the secondary market. The people who are buying vast amounts of gear are also the reason why no one else can get anything. I see the business model and I understand it. But that doesn't change the fact that it feels like Scotty doesn't care about the fan base because the problem continues year after year. Finally I decided to just schedule a custom fitting, thinking that maybe I could get something cool that way. But I was told via email that Scotty isn't doing custom fittings right now either. Since I've been striking out nonstop for years on getting any gear, I decided to I make my way down to the Gallery(I live 2 hours away). The overall experience was less then personal due to the "window shopping" method that they have deployed. Once again, it feels like if you really cared about what the fans thought, you could at least do them the curtesy of letting them inside. They had some gear in the windows and I bought a few things but nothing I really loved. I was bummed I couldn't get something as simple as a ball marker. My father was with me(he plays a Scotty too), and they didn't have anything he wanted(they had a shirt or two he liked but were sold out of his size). So he made the long trip that lasted most of the day for nothing. I asked about when they get new stuff, and I was told it's purposely completely random. I was told that it's to prevent the black market vultures from lining up around the block and buying everything. I understand that logic, but once again, that wouldn't happened if scotty didn't purposely create these supply issues. If I see something online that I want, I can't buy it on their website because it'll be sold out, I obviously can't buy it in any normal stores, and if I drive to the gallery I can't buy it there either because the stuff in the windows isn't what is online. So my only option is to pay 3 times Scotty's already expensive prices and buy it on eBay. I can't help but feel like Scotty has created this situation. If I want to buy things for Scotty's prices(which are high but not as high as ebay) then my only option is to drive to the gallery and hope there is something there I might like. Even if there isn't anything I like, I'm sure Scotty has figured out that real fans will buy anything just because they've made the trek out there and it's the only way to buy things. It's just disappointing, I have a really good idea on how Scotty could stop the secondary market from getting out of control like it currently is, but I doubt they'd care to hear it. At the end of the day, I'm just a fan trying to buy some cool stuff, but also trying to get a little glimpse into the professional world of golf. I wish the experience was a little more personal and I wish there was a way that a normal guy could get some cool gear. Mike read more

I drove in from Los Angeles during regular business hours. A sign on the door stated they were closed for the day due to IT issues. Return a few weeks later and called this time before making the trip. They said they were open but couldn't give any information regarding inventory. I made the 2 hour drive again. They had almost no putters available for sale which I learned when I arrived. No Newports, Newport 2's, Squarebacks, etc. The customer service and lack of empathy is remarkable. I told them I was driving from LA and they couldn't just tell me they had no putters that day. read more

Stopped by and to say the Gallery was disappointing is an understatement. No one is allowed in the store and the "window shopping" term they use would imply that they actually have products in the windows. Unless you're looking for a shirt or divot tool you're better off searching literally anywhere else. Staff blamed the lack of products on Scotty's fans but that didn't seem to be the case three years ago when the lack of inventory wasn't an issue and the shelves were stocked. Imagine going to the Apple store and only being able to purchase a phone case or McDonald's being out of burgers. Embarrassing experience to say the least and a disclaimer should be on their website. If that's the experience that is going to be offered the store should save their "fans" the time and frustration and simply shut down. When I arrived I was told they weren't letting anyone in the store because of COVID and that they would be glad to fit me outside on the sidewalk. Spending $1000+ on a custom putter and being fitted on the sidewalk is insulting. If you're really concerned about the health and well-being of your employees Scotty Cameron then just close the place down and go online only. Really hate having to write this review but enough is enough. The Gallery Staff is the shadiest and most corrupt employees I have ever seen. Collecting Scotty gear has always been my passion but this staff has changed that drastically this last year. From hearing we don't have that item but selling to the person behind you after waiting in line for hours has to be the biggest slap in the face. Crazy that the same people always get the new gear right when it comes out. Been there multiple times where they have said you have to buy a 4k+ putter just to be able to buy the new $76 headcover but the guys that get them first dont have to do that. I've seen the back door deals happen way to many times and if you aren't a VIP or hooking up the staff with $ or gifts you have 0 chance of getting what you want. Stopped by this place at 10am this morning to get a putter grip for my friend who plays with a Scotty Cameron putter. I was told, I needed to bring the putter into the store to buy a new grip. But I could go online and buy a grip and take it to a golf pro to have it installed. Go figure. FYI - I have few friends who switched from an Odyssey, Ping or other putters to Scotty Cameron putters. They still putt the same but have the prestige of owning a Scotty Cameron putter. read more
