I had never used Scotty's previously and called them because they were nearby. I was happy that a person answered the phone and was able to set up an appointment for me for the following day. Two techs arrived the next day within the time period given and quickly went about replacing a fluorescent light fixture. They were very fast and efficient and did a good job. I feel that the service was a bit overpriced given the simplicity of it and the fact that it didn't take very long to complete it, but their prices are probably competitive with other companies around here. One was about 14 foot up and another two about 12 foot high. The rest could be reached with a step ladder. They charged $500. Seems excessive for the less than an hour and a half they spent. The quality of their work was great, they wore shoe coverings and vacuumed up their work areas. I was just dismayed by the amount they charged. (originally rated one star) They didn't simply unplug the old and plug in the new. They removed an adapter from the hard wired smoke detector and wired in a new plug. (less then 5 minutes per detector). I appreciated that they did the job right. Upgraded from one star to two, based solely on price.
