The service was friendly both times i have been here. The Grand Canyon Grinder sandwich (purportedly their most popular) was quite good. Im back for my second try at this place before i rate it though. Got the Lassen with extra jalapenos. Its decent, but it actually could use more heat. I put horseradish on mine and it was about right. Its far better than any of the sandwich chains I've tried. Bread is good and fresh. All the other ingredients seem to be high quality as well. Price is also quite reasonable. Sandwich and chips for $11-12 is a decent deal. I also like their National Park motif with memorabilia from parks all over the west on the walls. read more

Wasn't impressed and I am so disappointed in that. Service was slightly rude and off putting. Which kind of ruined my first time here. I got a tuna melt which I won't get again it was on barely toasted bread definitely not a melt lol. I don't do a lot of sandwich shops but a friend and I wanted something quick so we thought we'd try this place. It shares both a building and parking lot with another business. So there's limited parking. But neither business seemed to be pulling in a crowd so I think it's adequate. The dining area is small and has just a few tables. I settled on their Grand Teton, which is a pastrami sandwich. For a side, I chose their coleslaw. Both were OK, but nothing to rave about. I did think the sandwich was a bit small for the price I paid. This is a Pepsi house...sorry, Coke folks. I can't remember what my friend ordered, but he said he like it. Sandwich looked delicious - hoagie bread toasted, healthy portion of roast beef, super fresh/crunchy lettuce w/equally ripe & fresh tomatoes. Not sure what's going on with this place but I'm deeply sadden After a long drive from outta town I was hungry and recalled many years of coming to Scouts and great food! Today was different. I got an attitude from the young man at the register and when I was ready to order an older man came up rubbing his lips and face. He put gloves on but didn't wash his hands prior. I was reluctant to eat it but told myself he had on gloves. It wasn't romaine greens they were mixed greens which wasn't right the turkey was cut up sandwich meat not the regular turkey in the past . It was really a gross cessation salad not made well and tasted even worse. Even the crotons were stale. Terrible customer service today.my husband ordered our sandwiches for a 12:30pm pickup. He got there at 12:20 and they asked his name. He said it twice. But they didn't hear him. Then a guy yelled from the back "she's gotta know your name!" A little compassion goes a long way. My husband has a throat condition so he cannot project his voice. Then the guy yells "you said 12:30 so it's not ready yet!" We were not demanding and we understand the lunch rush. But this place really needs to improve on their customer service skills. While the sandwiches are good, they're a little overpriced. With great customer service that can be overlooked. But they just lost our business. We'll go somewhere else...where they're kinder. read more

Regretfully, every other sub shop was shut down for the day and this was my only choice other than fast food. Now I'm sad because I've waited so long to try them. The subs were fantastic. Service is friendly, fast and the place is spotless. My only very minor criticism is the choice of sides. A bag of chips or their potato salad that wasn't my favorite style (mustard).
