Fried masa tacos with carne asada filling
    Daniel W.

I stopped in around lunchtime on a Friday. Sign out front says Lone Spur but that's a previous owner. There were a few other tables seated. Hostess was friendly and seated me quickly. Cute western and historic west items on the walls. The menu has a ton of good things and I ordered the fried masa tacos with carne asada filling. The service took a little longer than expected. The tacos were unique and tasty. It sort of fell apart quickly but I finished up with knife and fork. Filling and sides were fresh and good. Prices are fair. I'm definitely going to come back.

For one the food was absolutely to die for. It's not like anything in this area for sure! I loved the food, atmosphere, and good vibes. I will sure be back!

Service was prompt and friendly. All the staff were engaging and positive. The food is good. Serving size is big. I'll be skipping lunch. I love the location right in the heart of downtown. This place is truly worlds above the old Lone Star Cafe that was in this space. Similar in the cowboy/western decor only. I had the John Wayne(pork chili verde and eggs). I would recommend it. Lots of other tasty looking things in the menu so i'll certainly be back.

Food was good, we went on a Sunday at 12:30 so in the middle of the busy time. The server was very attentive but the kitchen struggled a bit. We will go back

And gravy plate with tiny little biscuits

We have been driving by this place seeing large crowds of people outside for sometime now, so this past weekend it was cold and rainy so we decided this would be a good chance to go without the crowds. Super cute place really love the decor and the staff are super friendly, but I'm afraid the food really wasn't that good. First off, everything kind of tasted like apple cider vinegar. It's like they washed the dishes in vinegar or something. The corn beef hash was really corn beef lunchmeat they chopped up with some mashed potatoes and other ingredients, it also tasted like apple cider vinegar. Someone at our table got biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were actually more like dumplings. They really weren't baked and they were like little blobs of dough about the size of small meatballs. The gravy was flat, and lacked flavor. I really wanted to like this place. The staff was so friendly and upbeat, the decor is so cute, and I also really liked the creativity in the menu making references to cowboy movies, but gosh, they really need to make a change in the kitchen.

Birria tacos.Grease bomb.Server rec this item. 1 bite-awful. Server returned, asked if done. No? Re why we tossed meal.Won't be back.

Birria tacos. Rec by server. Grease bombs. One bite and no more! When server finally returned and asked if we were finished, no question as to why we were throwing away our entire meal. There are many places to eat in Prescott. We won't return.

Checking this place out for the first time I'll let you know how it is…read more I was expecting the chicken maple wasn't too bad the waffle was nice and thin airy waffle the chicken wasn't dry it had a good taste to it. The maple surf is what topped off for me the ambiance was pretty good kind of quiet in the place. No music or background noise just the small talk of others and kitchen noise. The Service wasn't too bad. The food came out quickly and hot.

I was the only customer in the restaurant. I was greeted and given a menu (there is a menu board but I couldn't read it because my sunglasses are polarized...:/. There are several varieties of chicken and waffles but I chose the classic chicken and maple. The restaurant itself is nice sized with tables and that's about it. There is a coke machine and ketchup packets as condiments and straws but no utensils, which are brought out with the food. Food arrived hot with two generous sized chicken tenders, really nicely spiced and breaded. Fried just perfectly where the chicken was nice and tender and juicy. The waffle has bubbles throughout it and honestly reminded me of less sweet funnel cake. The maple syrup was perfect compliment to the spices on the chicken. All in all really good and a nice portion (could have finished it all but I would've been in a food coma and I still had to drive back to the verde valley!) Definitely worth a first and second try!

Been meaning to come here for years…read more Located at the historic hassayampa Inn hotel, circa 1920s. Parking on street or lot across the road. Peacock Room is a quaint 1930s art deco style restaurant with modern booths and a great menu. Prices are pretty good compared to other high end restaurants and a little more than the restaurants in Prescott, but definitely worth the splurge. Menu is varied and slightly limited but not too much that you cannot find anything you'd like. Everything can be customized to your preference. Staff were amazing at quick service, refils and checking on allergies Everything about the food was fantastic, French onion soup, Chicken tortilla soup, surf and turf, cooked perfectly to order and great unqiue cocktail selection. Quiet, spacious, art deco interior, definitely worth the visit, dont know why it took us so long but we'll be back

We came here today for Easter brunch. Yes I realize it's a holiday and that can make things busy…read more We are there frequently because we like to take people from out of town here because it's beautiful and the food is good. We were even here for Christmas Eve and they did a pretty good job of getting us in and fed in a timely manner. Not so today! Our reservation was at 12:30. They said the kitchen was backed up and we needed to wait. OK so we waited. At.1:15 we finally got seated. And that was in the overflow room, not the main dining room, which is fine. But apparently the person serving us not only was serving our room, but upstairs and outside as well. I had ordered a mimosa which is fine, but I asked for either prickly pear or cranberry juice. The waiter asked if orange juice was OK if they didn't have any other juice and I said yes. So I got orange juice which was fine until I thought about it. They have a Cosmo on a menu so of course they would've had cranberry juice. Within placed our order and he told us it would be about 20 minutes because the kitchen was still backed up. 20 minutes came and went. An hour later we still hadn't gotten our food. My brother and sister-in-law who had just moved to town we're done and ended up leaving before even getting our food. We finally got ours and it was good, but my son ended up having to leave early so he could let the dog out. She had been inside for over four hours and she's 15. They did end up taking off their orders. So that was good, but then the manager asked if we wanted to try their raspberry chocolate mousse. I said maybe to take home but that we needed to leave. So she brought out one. I knew there were three of us. And we had been waiting for over two hours for our food. Really? They couldn't have given us three? I almost said something, but I was just so done and so upset. Now I have to apologize to my in-laws! Would it have really killed them to give us three of those? Or a lemon cake along with it? Which I do dream of. It's fantastic! I don't remember our server's name, but it wasn't his fault. He tried to keep us informed on everything. It's basically the management, which needs a complete overhaul, they need more staff, or they need to train their staff better, or all of the above. I will not be going back there for holidays at all. And I probably won't be going back there for dinner or anything else in the near future. There are other restaurants in town.
