In my 17years of cooking and catering I've rarely seen a restaurant run so good and consistent. This is a place to really enjoy breakfast agin. Not the usual items there are very interesting items to choose from. My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast here this morning. We were greeted and seated quickly. A waitress came to our table to ask us about drinks and we both ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice and a coffee. A gentleman came by later to get our food order. I was torn selecting between two omelette options. He suggested blending the two and not one so I really appreciated the flexibility and creativity shown. Once we were served our selection, he promptly came by to see how we liked it. My wife who is very particular on how her eggs are prepared commented how well he had heard and executed her request! My omelette was delicious and my wife enjoyed her French Toast and eggs. The ambiance is inviting, well maintained which adds to the experience. Rarely give five stars but today was a good day! We came in around 1:35 and they close at 2...place was PACKED, which is always a great thing. We were seated right away. Perused the vast menu and decided on the Hermosa Chicken sandwich which was a nice sized chicken breast with sprouts, avo and bacon. Not a tomato lover, so I opt out. Nice size sandwich on whole wheat grilled bread. Honestly, it could have used a nice garlic, or basil/dill aeoli or something, but overall a good choice. The decor is Southern California based with surfboards, beach photos and pictures I recognized as Huntington Beach (I'm a native Californian, now AWOL). I loved the SDSU pennant on the wall - my college Alma mater in Arizona! Atmosphere is light and friendly, service attentive and food ample and satisfying. I had ham and eggs with a piece of toast and you have a choice of large or small ham. I don't have a big appetite so I ordered the small ham and I'm glad I did because it was huge best breakfast I've ever had. First time here and it won't be our last. Super cute cafe. We were quickly sat and drinks brought promptly. I had a reuben sandwich which was delicious. It was very flavorful and the meat was perfect along with a good serving size of crispy French fries. Others at the table hand french toast (said it was delicious), a breakfast with deep fried hash browns. Again, I was told it was delicious. We also tried the I17 breakfast. (Been meaning to write this from a visit back in January and was just reminded when a friend recently went up to Prescott!) This place was amazing! We were heading out of Prescott and didn't want to deal with the crowds in downtown/Whiskey Row area. It was a Sunday morning, so we always expect a long wait anywhere in that area. My wife found this place on Yelp! and we decided to give it a try. So glad that we did! The wait was about 20-25 min around 10 AM, but well worth it. The options were traditional breakfast dishes that you would find at a diner, but there were also some fusion meals that looked great as well. Service was great and attentive. Great to see staff joking around with one another. I love the portion for a half sandwich. $10 got me a half turkey and cheese with generous portion of delicious, starchy fries! Found this place while staying in town. Being from the South Bay, Cali, I recognized some of these dishes from growing up. Places like Unky Roy's, Eat at Joes, Roy's Place, Roy's Mill. Breakfast was killer! We're talking 3 eggs over medium, over corn tortillas, Spanish sauce covering sausage patties! Was called the John Wayne at Joes in Redondo Beach. Amazing. At first, it was great, but when my hubby and I wanted to meet "JEN" was not a great experience. We knew she came from Ca as we did as well. So, when we finally met her and asked what part of Ca she was from, with the rudest tone replied, 'I do not consider myself from Ca anymore" Almost all person/restaurant owners have welcomed us with a great smile or a handshake but her attitude made us back off from this restaurant. She could have kept her response to herself. That was totally rude. The staff was great but can tell her presence makes them so uneasy. Service was lovely, so I would give five stars for the waitstaff, but food was not the absolute best on earth- the pancakes look amazing and huge and golden brown, but they had almost zero flavor and were quite tough. Went to Dewey, AZ for Thanksgiving weekend to spend time with family. My aunt suggested this cafe & that it was her favorite café. The wife & I decided to check it out for ourselves. Upon arrival there was a line as expected but saw there was room at counter so we took advantage if that instead of a booth & a longer wait time. Waitress was friendly & immediately took our drink order. Shortly thereafter we ordered the Chorizo & eggs & the Chicken Fried Steak w/eggs plate. This place gives a generous serving so be hungry when you come here. I finished mist of my meal & the wife could only eat half of hers. The food tasted great!
