Prices were good and bad. As always prices are controlled by each individual booth owner so some are reasonable and some I would consider unreasonable. The staff in the store were all real friendly and they held our items at the counter as we shopped to keep our hands free for more items, yes that is a problem Just kidding, nice of them to do. I failed to get through the entire store so I will have to make a return trip, my friends are faster than me as I like to look at absolutely every piece to make sure I do not miss than gem I was searching for. I keep a running list of things I want to find as well as a list for some of my friends. I found plenty to bring home on this day and we had a fun time reminiscing and searching through each booth. I saw so many really cool things from fun decor signs, kitchen items like dish towels, fun jewelry, note cards, candles, and tons more like throw pills, and wall hangings. The shop seems a bit smaller that their other location, but still carries most of the same merchandise. They are known for their silver jewelry by various artists. Currently, they are featuring charm necklaces. An Indiana theme runs throughout the store with everything from Indiana necklaces to Indiana kitchen towels. It's a great place to pick up a gift with candles, art and even some local foods. I even saw a few toys and puzzles today for the kids. I was looking for a funny card and they have a small selection of cards but they were somewhat inappropriate to give a daughter. But they do have lots of crazy socks. My first visit, I walked out of there with a wine glass etched with the streets of downtown Carmel, and a pair of wooden dangly earrings made by someone who lives in Carmel. In the store, you'll find lots of Carmel-related clothing to show off your school spirit, including Carmel school sweatshirts and Greyhound gear, scarves and beanies in school colors, and more. There are also sweaters and running gear promoting the Monon Trail! You'll also find jewelry, mugs and travel coffee cups, pillows, bumper stickers, and even tins of mints and treats emblazoned with Carmel insignia. Brands like Jan Barboglio, Trvdon, Fieldbar, Baobab, L'Objet, etc. The owner might seem snobby, but he's actually quite patient and helpful (and he owns the most high-end store in Carmel, so an "aire" is understandable). We did the scavenger hunt, completed puzzles inside the maze, and eventually wound our way through! It was a very hot day for the season, so the apple cider slushes and hayride around the farm were good rewards. They also served Native Bread cookies in the shop, so I had a pumpkin chocolate chip one. A very pleasing option for a gluten free and dairy free person like me! I bought cider to take home and it was fantastic and priced well. It cost $10 each to get back into the activity area, which was reasonable, but could get pricey if you're bringing a big family. So check rates ahead of time and save up! But we had a great visit and I'd go back for another fall adventure.

I attended the Sunflower Festival this weekend with my husband, sister and niece. There's really something for everyone. They have a gift shop as well as a neat and novelty grocery dept. There was a kids entrepreneurial endeavor as well where we bought some trinkets and sunflower pillowcases made by the kids who were selling them directly. Great concept! Whether you'd like to snack on delicious, fresh cider donuts while sipping on apple cider slush or have a smash burger & watch your wood fired pizza being made for lunch, the food and drinks are guaranteed to keep you in good spirits. The festival admission includes two fresh cuttings of any sunflowers of your choosing as well as three zinnia cuts. They hand you a pair of clippers and you then get to venture out into the "Fields of Gold"-- to quote Sting. It's overwhelmingly beautiful. The admission also includes tractor & train rides around the farm, access to the big slides (child sizes too) playgrounds and the opportunity to go apple picking for an additional fee. Prices are all pretty reasonable for an event like this one and parking is free. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They have activities for kids to keep them busy and entertained. 10/10 will be returning again next year.
