We had a really badly scratched stainless steel sink- the technician who worked on it did an amazing job!

I want to truly take my time and give this company the review they so rightly earned and deserve. I had an electrician come to my home and install a new ceiling light fixture in my kitchen. That person was so careless that they allowed tools, screws, etc. drop violently all over my BRAND NEW KITCHENAID GAS RANGE! I did not notice the damage until after the electrician was gone. I was so furious. I did research and to get a new bezel was not possible as that entire control panel piece is one piece and it costs $1200 to replace WITHOUT including the labor to install it. I could not submit a repair via the warranty because it does not cover scratches made out of sheer carelessness! So my only other option was to try to somehow, find a way to repair the scratches. There were tons of them, varying in length and depth. I really thought it could not be repaired and I'd have to fork out $1500+ or live with the scratches. Mind you, I have not bought a new stove in over two decades and everyone knows how expensive they are! I was so upset. Tim was so patient from the beginning, answering all of my questions. He showed up when he said he would, with such a positive and professional demeanor. I felt at ease immediately and trusted him. He got right to work and was so mindful of my home, laying down cloths to protect my floors, etc. I honestly was not expecting the outcome that ScratchOff Stainless was able to achieve! I am blown away. These folks truly know what they're doing. I highly, highly recommend them. You will not regret it. I can now enjoy my new range again because of their mastery of repairing scratched stainless steel. First off, I am finally catching up on several of my reviews that are long overdue (4 months to be exact) due to health issues. I am finally able to get back on track to review several of my contractors who have done a wonderful job. Scratch Off Stainless is one of those contractors. Tim was scheduled in Mid-December 2021. With Covid, the holidays around the corner and other delays, we both had to make a couple of changes in the scheduling. When Tim came over, he did an outstanding job. There were some scratches on my brand new Wolf gas range made by another team of contractors during my kitchen remodeling. Tim was polite, knowledgeable and reasonable in terms of pricing. I was pretty upset when this other contractor put these scratches on an expensive range, which had only been in my kitchen for 5 days. This company made the panels on my refrigerator and freezer worse than before their service. There are now streaks and scratches and discoloration of my large side by side stainless steel refrigerator and freezer panels. Originally John did the work. However he left significant discoloration of the panels. Then Tim said he now owned the business and would fix the damage. He came to my house twice and tried to fix it without any improvement. He canceled or did not show for four appointments. I took time off work and stayed at home. For two of these appointments he did not even call and say he was unable to keep the appointment. Twice he did call and cancel the appointment because of a bigger or better job instead of my job. One job was for Netflix and one job was in Malibu. He canceled my appointment to do these jobs instead. Then Tim said he was not responsible for the damage because John did this damage. John and Tim have worked together for a long time. Tim now appears to own business. I am considering suing in small claims court. I do not recommend this company. read more

I bought a new home recently and there was a huge scratch on the stainless steel refrigerator door, other than that the home was immaculate. We recently had our kitchen remodeled and purchased all new beautiful Thermador stainless steel appliances. I hadn't had my beautiful range top for 2 weeks before my husband put a nice size scratch in it while cleaning it. I had this co. come over to take a couple of scratches off my fridge that I had for a few months thanks to my daughter scratching it. Tim came over and told me yeah no problem we can get those out. Our cleaning person used the green side of the sponge on our $4,000 stove top. We were pretty upset! When I spoke to John, he said he could fix the stove top to look as good as new. John was extremely professional and did an amazing job. John also cleaned up around the work area and it was like he was never there....except for the restored "unscratched" stove top. Having a kitchen full of stainless steel appliances with young kids around, it's great to know we have someone we can contact to fix any accidental scratches that may happen. Avoid avoid avoid! Tim, the owner of the company scheduled and rescheduled 4 times. Each time, he promised he'd definitely show up, then he'd contact me to let me know something else came up. Communication was absolutely awful. He or his assistant would set a time they were either going to call or arrive, but those times came and went, and it would sometimes be hours before they made contact to explain what happened. To make things worse, his assistant--Margarida--had the audacity to write this to me: "Tim is on the way..." (he wasn't). "What would make Tim much more motivated is for you to send a part of the payment via Venmo." Are you kidding me? It's not my job to make the owner of this company motivated to show up. If I'm not mistaken, you show up because, let's see...you agreed to show up? Long story short: the guy never showed up. For his last excuse, I was told he got in a car accident and was being observed at a hospital. After all the crap he pulled, you'll forgive me if I don't quite believe it. But okay, let's say it really happened. Since his assistant said he'd be out of the hospital by 2pm and was requesting a conference call between him, me and the property manager at 3pm, I felt it was safe to assume he was okay. But I'd have to be the biggest idiot to expect and wait for an actual call from a guy who flaked all those times before. So I simply asked him to call me ASAP. Never heard from him again. Not even to profusely apologize, or even PRETEND that he cares--hell, even to tell me personally about the accident. Now--I've since seen some of his other reviews (yep, wish I had come here before hiring him) and if things go predictably, there will soon be a yelp response from him that sounds nice on the surface, but it won't be honest and it will likely play up the car accident. He'll tell you that he offered a 50% discount because of the delays, and then ultimately offered to do it for free. That's true. And would that would have been great--IF HE'D SHOWN UP. He may even request that I call him to work this out. No way. It was his place to call me. But Tim, don't bother. I came to my senses and was lucky to find and hire someone else. I have all high end stainless steel appliances in my kitchen. I needed someone to repair scratches on each appliance and what appeared to be dripping stains from some type of spray cleaner. I contacted Scratch Off over the web and was quickly contacted by its owner, Kevin Wagner. He was responsive, polite and patient as we tried to work out the best time for him to come over, even though it took multiple emails! Unlike most service companies or contractors, Kevin had no problem using email or texts. I really appreciated this given my busy schedule. If I could give no stars I would. We own a company that works with high end clients and reached out to this company to do a simple fix. We got a response after some time then finally got on the schedule. Once on the schedule we were cancelled on multiple times for ridiculous reasons. My house was damaged in the Woosley fire and everything had to be packed out, when my appliances were packed back in there was quite a bit of damage to my stainless steel finish on my refrigerator. I made the mistake of hiring an inexperienced housekeeper, and she took a scouring sponge all across my less than one year old subzero refrigerator and totally scratched the entire surface.
