The entire interaction with the man working the front desk made it seem as well like the car had been fixed, after paying he went over other recommendations the mechanic suggested despite us walking in with on specific area of the car to be fixed. A lot of things suggested to be fixed were related to the engine, I bought this specific car from this auto shop summer 2023, at the time that I bought it they told me there was a brand new engine installed. If the engine was brand new why would there be all these "issues" that need to be fixed? I said that to the man working the front desk and he seemed confused and told me he started working there in March. After leaving the shop on the way home my daughter noticed in the car that the AC/heat wasn't working. I called asking why only THEN was I informed that the $207 was just for the diagnostic and to actually fix the AC/heat was over $580. Essentially I was charged 200+ for NOTHING. Both myself and wife called attempting to understand what happened, each of us spoke to different individuals who told us different things. The man I spoke to apologized said that he would let the owner know and to give me a call back.. We'll see if the owner actually calls me back. Communication is absolutely horrible!! Been with this auto shop for years now, always thought they were upfront and honest. However, after today I no longer think this. I understand diagnostics need to be ran to understand the exact issue but the price is outrageous to receive no work. The communication from the shop to the customers needs A LOT of improvement. When paying the exact service should be explained in detail before paying, which the man at the front desk failed to do so. No customer should be put under false impression especially when paying a lot of money. They lost a value customer who brings multiple cars to their business. I called, they told me what the cost would be because they understand business and how customer service works. It's called letting the customers know what is going on before you do anything. That's customer service. Not being a greedy company that doesn't take into consideration of people being elderly or possibly them not knowing how things work. A great business owner would have apologized for the awful experience.... Not made excuses for their poor practices My dad was recently in a bad car situation and this place told my dad, who is almost 80 that they would check out his car. When I was called, they told me the car was almost $800 to fix. I asked how much was the labor. The labor was over $500 and the parts were the remaining cost. They offered a 5% discount if it was paid in cash. I told them no thank you and that I would get the car towed. They told me that I was more than welcome to get the car towed once I paid the $159 diagnostic fee. I said, did you tell my dad (because he was the one there) about this fee before you checked out the car? They said no we did not but it's a common practice so it is what it is and it has to be paid or we will not be giving you your keys back. Honestly, guac isn't even $5 but chipotle makes sure they tell you that there is an additional charge. I left my home (45 mins away) paid the fee and got the car towed. Brenda that works there was SO KIND!!! She will go places in life with her personality and kindness... but for all the rude, non compassionate, lack of communicators, money hungry, greedy individuals that work there, i hope nothing good comes to them in life.
