After reaching out to several other window companies, we knew that once Jim from Windows Pittsburgh stopped by to provide us with a quote, his company was the one that we wanted to to go with. From the moment Jim, the owner of Windows Pittsburgh, stopped by he was completely professional and made sure to keep our consultation around an hour, which we appreciated. We went back and forth for weeks about grids and colors, and Jim was extremely patient and didn't pressure us at all during this time. For anyone who has shopped for windows, you would understand how "sales-pitchy" these consultations can be. Jim did not make us feel pressured or rushed in to a decision what so ever. He was just a good, local guy, who was thankful to do business with us. Windows Pittsburgh is locally owned, and operated. I liked this because I knew that we were giving back to our community vs. giving in to the larger window companies. After our initial consultation we did have one person come to get exact measurements, and then our actual instillation was approx. 4 months after our order. The installation was scheduled for three days, but it only took the installers two days total. I can not speak highly enough about the installation process because they really took their time to do things right, and cleaned up (very well) as they moved throughout the house. Drop cloths were used on the floors, and they swept and cleaned up after each window. I didn't worry at any time about broken glass, nails, etc. They did a fantastic job, and even wiped and cleaned the new windows (they will never be this clean again!) When I met with Jim initially, I told him that I heard of Windows Pittsburgh from Yelp. He seemed surprised by this, because he doesn't use Yelp for advertising anymore. As you know, this company isn't as heavily broadcasted in the Pittsburgh area. I'm hoping that our review gets noticed, and that anyone looking for new windows or exterior doors in the Pittsburgh area will consider using Windows Pittsburgh, they will really do a great job and you will be happy with the results!

We have been wanting full house window blinds for so long and did our research on all of the local Companies. We chose budget blinds after seeing their reviews and options online. We were able to schedule a free in-home visit for an estimate within a week of our phone call, March 17th. Jake arrived promptly on the day of our scheduled visit and measured the ten (10) windows we have. He presented many options and samples, suggesting a color that matched perfectly. Our Home is all hardwood floors with white walls, so we went with his suggestion of "Chestnut" horizontal blinds for all rooms except our kitchen. There, our LVT flooring is a brighter color, so we chose "Mist" to keep with a cleaner look. Our estimate was prepared for us during the visit, and we accepted immediately because the price was well within our planned budget. Customer Service called 3 weeks later to say that our blinds were in, and the install date was scheduled for May 1st. Our installer, Germaine, was personable and arrived right on the scheduled time. The install was fast and the job was completed in about two hours. He offered up some ideas on curtains, valances but the blinds look so good that we will probably keep an open look and forego any curtains. When I first decided to get new windows for my home I knew that I would need new window treatments…read moreto go with them. Having done some research I decided to work with Budget Blinds. Budget blinds is a custom made window treatment company which compared with other window treatment companies I spoke with gave me the most reasonable estimate and warranty for my purchase. They cost more however, you are getting quality. Cellular blinds come with a 5 year warranty from their "signature series." I had Jami the owner come out to my house about 5 weeks ago to go over samples and take measurements. Having learned about cellular blinds and the easy care I decided to go with them. Cellular blinds are honeycomb in style and can be purchased as light filtering or room darkening depending which room you need it. They come in array of interior colors with a standard white facing the outside. There is also the option of getting the top down/bottom up shade but Jami advised me to only go with that type in rooms that absolutely needed it since they cost extra. Otherwise they come in the standard pull down shade. I also had an old blind break on me during this period and she had suggested I get a cheap blind from any supply store to "fill in" until my new blinds came. That worked very well. They require 50% down at time of ordering with the balance due upon completion of work. True to their word my blinds had arrived within the 5 week time frame and I was excited to get them installed. In the meantime I got free blind swatches for each room so I could coordinate my choices and get an idea how they would look. On the day of installation Justin came out to help take down whatever was left of my existing window treatments and to install the new shades. As he was showing me the new shades I realized that the ones in my back bedrooms were not light filtering as I had ordered and appeared to be a different color. We both checked the shade itself and the color nor type of shade was not listed on it. He contacted Jami who found out that the manufacturer had duplicated the room darkening shades I had in the master bedroom. Jami was quick to order two replacement blinds for me in the color and light filtering we had agreed upon. I was told that it would take another couple of weeks for the correct ones to come in. Meantime I could keep the ones Justin installed and he would "swap" them out at the time of the install. Since I had ordered a valance for one window which also was a little delayed he told me that he could do them both at the same time. The fact that they didn't check the colors and density of my shades did bother me a little but Justin said before installing the replacement ones they would double check them. They are quality made shades and Justin went over how easy it was to raise and lower them since they use magnets at the top of those that are two directional. I am very pleased with my purchase and am looking forward to using my new shades as a solo window treatment option. Budget blinds have multiple locations but under the same umbrella. Once you reach out to them they will direct to the right location.
