However, when estimates are priced based on line by line items instead of per project; it can become unclear if someone is trying to take advantage of a project or is providing a high bid because they are too busy to accept a new project. Make sure when hiring a contractor you purchase the materials for the identical cost that the contractor would have purchased them, too.

You sent us a digital catalog, we picked the picture from the line we wanted. It was even the wide reed section of the ebook and still 3 or 4 emails asking what glass. Wide reed! How hard is that? Never answered the phone, and knowing we have had the roof replaced, door was next and then painters and you cancel after a month after the deposit. I guess it's better to learn about their incompetency now vs when they have the your house torn apart.
