    I own three Microscope LED units for my Global Dental microscopes. Unfortunately, these units are…read morepoorly supported--no replacement parts are available from the manufacturer, and once the 3-year warranty expires, a failure means paying $2,800 plus tax and shipping for a new one. Ouch. Over the last few years, I've had to replace multiple units, as they all seemed to fail after about four years. I tried two electronic repair services (including one connected to an electronics supplier in Costa Mesa) but had no luck. Recently, when my wife told me yet another light was failing--and since she relies on them working perfectly--I started searching again for a reliable repair shop. Newport TV VCR Repair was honestly my last thought, since I assumed they wouldn't know how to handle specialized medical lighting. But when the last light went down and we were about to order costly replacements, I decided to give them a try. I had already tested a re-manufactured unit from eBay, but it was nowhere near the right brightness. Newport TV VCR Repair was nearby, and I was in a rush, so I called Bill. When I brought the three lights in, Bill admitted he'd rather not take on the job, but said if I wanted, he could do a full diagnostic for a fee. I agreed. A few days later, right on schedule, he called back. He believed he could repair them but would need to order parts. If the repairs worked, I'd pay him; if not, I'd just be out the diagnostic fee. Sure enough, Bill repaired two units successfully (currently working on the last which got more damaged by the other repair shops). He even walked me through the work--replacing chips (and programming them), a surface-mount capacitor, blown board trace and even correcting an incorrectly installed MOSFET. The lights now work flawlessly. Bill is incredible. This is far beyond simple AV repair--his skill, honesty, and thoroughness are rare to find. If you need electronics repair, take your equipment here. I'm very glad I did. If you are a Global Dental Microscope LED owner who needs to get a repair and found this by a Google search, I would recommend calling him...So good.

    I have had only awesome experiences here. I moved back to Costa Mesa from Silicon Valley about 18…read moremonths ago, and no sooner was I down here than I had an issue with my MacBook Air. I thought, "OMG, I'm here in Orange County - not exactly known for its tech community. What am I gonna do?" I found iSolution and brought my MacBook in. The guy fixed it right away while I watched. He didn't even charge me. Then on Saturday, Feb. 11, everytime I put my password in to log on, I got the whirligig. After waiting 5 attempts at about 15 minutes each with no progress, I realized this was a bigger problem than restart could fix. I brought my laptop into iSolution and the guy watched the whirligig and said, "This is an OS problem." Luckily I had my WD back up drive and it was current, so I told him if he had to wipe the laptop, so be it. Well, after a few hours he called and said the OS was corrupted and that he'd been able to fix it without wiping my laptop. No need to reinstall everything. I picked it up and he charged me reasonably. It is completely fixed and am on my laptop right now! I am a super happy camper. Both experiences with iSolution were fantastic. Susan

I was in and out very quick and service was reasonably priced. I'm glad I came here instead of Best Buy's geek squad. Will definitely come back!

Mike quickly figured out what was wrong with the TV and replaced the broken parts. Now it works great. His prices were reasonable, and his service was excellent. He had it working in just a couple days. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike.

Then there are the other unhappy customers that got duped and know it. I am 84 but not senile or unaware. I had 2 TV's that I had trouble turning on. #1 Mike took both TV's to the shop to recharge. Later I found you can't recharge a TV. #2 he sold me two new channel changers that he said would be so easy to turn on and off. After 2 days the batteries went dead. He fixed my cable box with TAPE to keep it on!!!He said I had a one year guarantee. He charged me $1200. Changed the batteries on the new channel changers. Googled the channel changers and they updated that model and was no longer for sale. The channel changers are still dead and I went back to the old method of using 2 channel changers to turn on and off and change the channels. I want to call Mike back but I know he's not returning my $1200. I really don't want to deal with him anymore. He has an answer for everything. I don't trust anything he says. So another lesson learned, even at 84!!!

    Go to this location on Harbor Boulevard. Don't go to the Santa Ana store on Bristol. See below…read more I brought in my Xbox Series X this morning because it would no longer power on. The employee told me they were backed up and wouldn't be able to diagnose it this week unless I signed up for their membership, which would move me to the front of the line. I told him I wasn't interested in a membership. He then said it would cost $165 for a diagnosis. I pointed out that their website states diagnostics are free, but he ignored my question and continued trying to sell me their $39/month membership. After I declined again, he explained that the $165 diagnostic fee would be applied toward the repair. I asked what would happen if the repair only cost $50--would I receive the remaining balance back? He said no. He then suggested that if I signed up for the membership and kept it for a minimum of two months, I would receive a discount on the diagnostic fee. At that point, something didn't feel right, so I decided to leave without having them service my console. I then took the same Xbox to the uBreakiFix on Harbor Boulevard. The employee there told me they would inspect the system, call me with an estimate if repairs were needed, and that there would be no charge unless I approved the repair. Based on my experience, I would avoid the Bristol Street location and take your business elsewhere. Go to the Harbor Boulevard location
