My only small issue is that it's a bit tight for big cars to pull around and the driver doesn't dry the car completely, so we often dry it ourselves with a towel after. I pulled up to pay. A woman came over and explained the option. This was the first time I had visited scrubbing. She was patient with a smile on her face. I did the middle option where the car was washed with the tires brightened. It was all for the 16.00. That seemed reasonable. Just a bare-bones car wash was 11.00. I did not realize it but I had some sap on my car. They let me go through a second time on the next day because the sap was still on my car after the first wash. Came here after a cross country drive and was honestly amazed at how great the BASIC wash was! The attendant was kind enough to spray the front of my car (which was a bug graveyard, to say the least) before going in, and for around $10 everything was spotless minus a few leftover bugs, much less than expected! I still love scrub-a-dub but I gotta knock Brighton down a star- initially they were awesome, and I was going daily but there was an issue where the washer ripped my bumper cover off. After some miscommunications and tension we came to an amicable solution Then there was a very light fender bender (due to there complete lack of out-flowing car guidance) people go left upon exiting the wash, when you can't and it gridlocks due to the traffic light. Cars keep coming of the conveyor and it is already very tight and cars are entering and exiting from the vacuum as well. This being said I was bumped into- being very minor I told the driver to not stress it.... Not the car washes fault technically, but they do nothing to prevent it. Even after those things I'm still going- but I have to knock them down a star as the design cannot handle the volume. I don't go to the car wash to be in a stressful situation.., traffic is stressful enough- being a car person a car wash is very zen to me.... But if Brighton is busy my zen goes out the window. Brighton is smaller than all of the others(I think) but seems to be one of the busiest- They need to have better outflow car monitoring, much better - and or redesign by ripping out the dumpsters and allowing for split direction on exit- perhaps they should buy the old Midas lot and redesign the redesign. To bad it wasn't available for the initial redesign, but this location is way way to small for the volume of cars they handle. Again to be fair I will keep going to scrub a dub and am a loyal customer. But am finding myself going to all the other ones more often (even though I live a min away) because They are far easier to navigate(not that it's hard but an auto car wash should not involve stress) and potentially safer for your car. Lastly I wanted to say I think the staff themselves are all awesome. Very helpful and friendly! Management communicates well too (no need to respond to this unless you have a plan) and the amenities are nice too like the paper towels!! read more

I have been to this car wash a couple times and every time a man comes out of the office area to harass me. There have been trucks of men in front of me and there's no man out there helping them...? I'm the past, a man came out asking if I was skipping high school (I am obviously in my 20's).....? I was like okay weird. It clicked later that he was trying to see if I'm over the age of 18. I told him I was skipping school jokingly when he asked me and he walked away. Pretty gross, right? I guess I should be happy that he's not into children at the least. Most recently, another man came out asking me why I selected the options that I did. I told him that I didn't need his help and he just stayed there and stared at me while I was reading through the prompts. When I said that I didn't need help again he went inside. I'm almost positive he went inside and canceled my current transaction just so he could have another chance to come out to talk to me. He even attempted to grab my debit card out of my hand from inside my car! Once again sir, if I needed your help with a basic debit card reader I would ask. I am all about customer service and helping others if needed but I refuse to be harassed at a Carwash. So with that being said, if you want to be sexually harassed and gender profiled by creepy men, definitely get your car washed here!! Hopefully someone from management will see this. Maybe suggest to your creepy workers that they ask EVERY person (no matter their age or what they look like) if they need help, and if not, to walk away. read more

A flock of birds relieved themselves upon my car so I took it to Scrub-a-Dub to give it a nice wash. Unfortunately, there was so much of it that it took more than one round of washing to get it off. It was still caked on there, so the manager Johnathon was kind enough to spray and wipe the remnants off manually. He was very kind and helpful and I recommend this place to anyone! read more

I want to start with a big thank you to Jonathan at the Allston ScrubaDub who helped me change a flat tire after I absent mindedly drove over the curb as I pulled into the automated wash which I attribute to being sleep deprived as a result of my 3 week old newborn. Jonathan happily helped me change the tire, no questions asked, with his own tools because I couldn't find my jack. I bought the car used and never checked if I had them in my trunk. I also had a nice brief conversation with another staff member whom I was telling about my lack of sleep. She understood as she as a parent as well. I've been a customer for many years and the staff and service has always been top notch friendly and accommodating and it especially showed today where the staff just went above and beyond. I ordered $20 "The Works" (express wash, duraglaze, underwash, rust inhibitor, wheel bright) and added "Tire Shine" for $3. The description of Tire Shine from their website: "Brushes automatically apply a tire dressing at the end of the wash process leaving your tires with a gloss black finish." My car had a lot of sticky residue and bird poop cuz it was parked on a tree-lined street. Figured I would try this place cuz I didn't have to get out of the car. Paid $25 for the ultra wash and was the biggest waste of money. Bird poop was still on the hood and the rear window was still dirty. Save your money and go to the Allston Car Wash 2 minutes away. At least there for $12 they towel dry everything. No wonder the guy at this place wanted me to pay $20 a month for unlimited washes, they can't get it done right the first time. read more

This place in theory is great. Problem is the gates don't work half the time. What's even worse is the tire shine is crap and there is no rise. The "spot free rinse" has actually worked once on the entire time I come here, wich is almost every day. Screw this plave. I'm looking for a new carwash UPDATE: Today I went in and they whole system was broken yet they didn't tell anyone and just sent us through. There was no soap or wax or anything. Just dry crusty brushes scratchy my cars paint. When I went in to complain and see if they would do anything about it one kid who wouldn't give me his name told me to "not worry about it" and then the other worker "Aldo" became aggressive telling me "if you think this is so easy why don't you do it". I've been here 3 times so far. First Time: Good cheap carwash, they did a decent job and i was in and out very quickly. Second Time: Apparently wash number 1 didn't work right and my car got half washed, they put me through a second time free. A for customer service. Third time: dryer blew off one of my wipers and I ended up having to get a new one (which they reimbursed me for, just took some time). Recently moved to the city, I used to hand wash my car prior, but due to living under trees now my car has leave stains, etc. There was an employee who lead me to the front gate where another employee named Eric was extremely helpful. He was so smiley and was telling me about a special for the membership plan! He explained everything to me and recommended what was best. Update: As you can see, Scrub a Dub has responded. (Thanks!) Perhaps I just hit an erratic streak or something. Again, it's a terrific car wash. The vacuums are so convenient--free if you have a monthly membership--and it even offers a special device to clean your removal mats! (I've never seen that before.) Also, this; It's the first automatic car wash I've been to that doesn't micro-scratch the finish on my car. Is it using some kind of extra-soft fiber on the spinning things? Idk, but I'm under the impression that it's gentler than any other place I've been (including Scrub-a-Dub in Natick). So I've upped my review to four stars. Why not five? Well, since management is reading this, here's why: For whatever reason, the Brighton location, while it appears to be superior to the Natick location in most every respect, falls short in the matter of rinsing. It's just not quite as thorough as it really should be. Perhaps as little as 10% more might do trick. Maybe 20% more. I'm not talking 100%, or even 50%. Water is a resource that needs to be conserved, after all. But there's a little too much soapy residue on the rear window, side mirrors, and rear bumper. Up the rinse a bit, keep consistent hours, and it'll be five stars all the way. read more

I usually go to the Brookline location, and I happened to pass by this location, but I'm happy I did. It looks like this is your state-of-the-art Scrub-a-Dub, and they have RFID gates that let you in. My Brookline tag would not work, but a friendly staff member saw that I needed help, and he swapped my dumb-tag with a smart one. Kudos to the attentive staff and excellent service. I'll probably swing by more often! read more

Auto but not very good. I bought a value pac that includes all the options. My car only has 4K mi so there isn't any build up of break dust. I've mentioned it to them and they offered a free wash but I could go through five more times there equipment just doesn't/can't clean wheels. Also it left a mark on the side of the car that wasn't there before. Better off to do it myself. read more

The car wash is just fine adequate on every level however try waiting for a vacuum in this tight location and you will be disappointed. I have been given lip service in the past from ownership about other locations doing similar setups with the vacuums however has not yet been implemented in nearly a year. read more

It is a decent place. I got an unlimited car wash service mostly because I am concerned about road salt causing my car to rust and want to get regular washes during the winter months. My main concerns are 1) Twice now I have come during their posted business hours and found them closed. Both times other I saw other cars pulling in and making a U-turn so I wasn't the only one. 2) The vacuums are disappointingly weak. They have two hoses going into one unit. One hose is supposed to be put in a thing to block so all the suction goes to the hose in use. The thing that blocks the hose that is not in use doesn't work. read more

With the caveat that I am not an unlimited member, I stopped by today to vacuum my seats, floors, and trunk. I saw that unlimited members got vacuuming for free, but I was willing to swipe my credit card for $2. Kudos, by the way for not insisting on quarters! The facility has a couple vacuum bays, but unlike other places, these bays are parking spaces and you can only drive in and reverse out. There was a line and, when I got in, only one hose worked. Apparently, hoses are short and the bay is built to have one hose per side. I can't review the car wash as I didn't get that, but I'm unsure I'll return here for vacuuming. read more

Twice a week I go to Scrubadub and I have to say that they have a excellent ethic in how to treat my car, it's great how serious they take their job selecting chemicals, maintaining equipment and giving guidelines to their employees. I was hearing a meeting since I was waiting for some exchange to use the outside machine and they where talking about what was the next step, the pros & cons in the different chemicals to clean the cars etc.. This has got to be the best investment I ever made. Using the unlimited washes. I had a minor problem with my credit card and the staff at the car wash made it right with ease. Only complaint.
