Most said "no-trips" they were taking the holiday off ( Seems odd for a service driven business) Not H2O, Ant texted me back saying he had trips going out to the Mohawk Wednesday or Friday. 5 experienced divers (2 swimming the wreck and 3 spearfishing) all fit perfectly on this very comfortable 33 foot boat with plenty of seating and coolers. Starting with the location, the resort is conveniently situated right off I-75 and is impossible to miss. The property is huge and offers plenty of parking. My only minor complaint is that there is very little shade in the parking lot. Check-in was quick and easy. Kirsten at the front desk was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She answered all of our questions and made the arrival process seamless. Upon check-in, every guest receives a pair of wolf ears, which is a fun touch and makes everyone feel like part of the "pack." Our toddler was celebrating a birthday a few days later, so we purchased the birthday package, which was under $40 and absolutely worth it. It included two large balloon displays, a birthday poster, a special birthday wolf plush, birthday wolf ears, and a bag filled with toys and treats. One of the coolest perks was the included birthday cup, which could be filled at the candy bar in the gift shop. Our toddler loved leaving with a cup full of gummy bears! The resort's app is also very helpful. It provides a schedule of all the activities happening throughout the day. There are so many kid-friendly events offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The lobby itself is incredibly interactive and comes alive at night with story time, dance parties, and other entertainment. It's truly something you have to experience in person. The resort also has dining options on-site, including a full-service restaurant and smaller food spots such as Dunkin'. Of course, the biggest attractions are the Adventure Park and water park. The Adventure Park includes a ropes course, arcade, mini golf, bowling, and more. During our short stay, we spent our time in the arcade and water park. The arcade was a lot of fun and reasonably priced. Everything is loaded onto a prepaid card, making it easy to add money, track credits, and store tickets for prize redemption. The water park was the true standout. It is massive and has something for every age group. There are multiple play areas for younger children, exciting slides for older kids and adults, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a giant tipping bucket that drenches everyone below. And that's just the indoor water park. Outside, there is another large pool with a beach-style entry that gradually gets deeper. There are lounge chairs positioned right in the water, which made for a very relaxing experience. The outdoor area also includes a hot tub, bar, and convenient restroom facilities. One feature I especially appreciated was the wide variety of complimentary life jackets available for children of different ages and sizes. Being able to use them throughout the park was such a great benefit for families. Honestly, this place exceeded our expectations in every way. From the staff and activities to the water park and family-friendly atmosphere, Great Wolf Lodge delivered an incredible experience. We are already planning our next trip back!

A lot of tickets won and they walked away with some great prizes. Over all our stay was good. Room was nice and spacious. And comfortable. The activities on the lobby for the kids were great. Especially the story time. Watching our 2 year old grandson enjoy that was priceless.

For example; the lazy river used to be fast and fun with buckets of water dropping on your head and water spraying and pouring above you with fun stuff to do with people everywhere, but now the river is fully empty and not one bucket or water pipes that leak water onto you are there. When I say zero I mean ZERO! Instead you've got this barren wasteland and husk of what it used to be. (Not to mention but the river is a bit TOO lazy. You barely move forward!) don't even get me started on the rebranding! There used to be this cool turtle guy who was the mascot and things were actually THEMED after him with like lily pads and turtle themed attractions; but now it's this stupid alligator guy who does not look welcoming or full of fun at all. Oh my god and the fountain sprinklers they used to have just don't even work. Like they're there but they just don't turn on at all and it used to be a big attraction there but now it's just dead. I can genuinely name 100 more things that were so much better then whatever lackluster amalgamation they have going on there. This park used to be fun and exciting, but everything that defined the park is gone. If you went there before it all went down the drain you'd know. It's really hard to explain how great this park used to be to someone who's only gone within the past year but it was truly magical. We need to get this park back to its former glory. But until this park gets its s*** together, don't go.

This made about 75% of the boardwalk walk very boring for my kids as there really were no animals to see. It was only when you get to the lettuce lake area that we spotted a few alligators. I was not happy that we drove an hour for my kids to not see much and be bored (and frankly, so was I). The Audubon does a fantastic job, the visitor center is wonderful, and the info on the trails is great...but the "no swamp swamp" got to us on this visit.

Scuba Marco was an AWESOME experience for my open water cert! The online course through PADI was solid, and everything was reinforced the morning of my first day of my onsite work with Scuba Marco. Instructor John did a great job not only teaching me HOW to do everything, but also WHY I was doing everything. It really helped things click. They were SO flexible with my schedule, super accomodating, and always extremely friendly. I literally can't say enough great things about them. Was in Marco for short weekend and Instructor Jeff and Jessie were able to get me 4 open water dives to get me on my way to SSI re-certification, Jeff was awesome, even though he has that laid back island attitude, very proficient and most aware of safe diving. Our last dive, 1 mile offshore we saw thousands of fish, Goliath Grouper, dozens Snook and did our part to radicate a Lion fish, clarity was fair 10-15' which isnt bad for Marco since we can't control how and when storms off shore churn the bottom. Great time and cant wait to Lobster and Spear with them. read more

My best friend and I got our diving certification through Scuba Marco. Part of their motto is "Patience and kindness are always free." They are not even joking. They are amazing. Jeff is the dive master. Incredible patience! I had never even had fins on before. I'm from the midwest and grew up with parents who were afraid of the water. Jessi organized everything and made it easy for us to just show up and dive. Jeff has enough patience and kindness to fill the ocean! And I needed it! I was so nervous and felt like I wasn't ready. Jeff drove us out to Key Largo for a dive on the reef. We left by boat (20 min) ride and ran 2 dives off the boat. They were both very nice. About 40 ft of visibility this particular dive set. It was a 2.5 hour drive to and from Key Largo from Marco Island, and we made good time. Very hospitable adventure. read more

They take you out pretty deep and you try a few different spots and everyone catches some fish (mostly just lane snapper, though a few people caught one or two others, like a mackerel--there was also plenty of grouper but too small for us to keep so we had to throw them back). That was great since the first time I went fishing in Costa Rica, we didn't catch anything. They told us that if you do the 3/4 day or full day trip, you can go out even deeper and catch a wider variety of fish, which we'll have to try next time. One guide was super helpful and attentive; the captain less so. I wish they came around more to help out beginners like us but overall still a great time. They do take quite a few people out during COVID (we had 11 people on our boat) so there's that to consider if that's an issue for you. Otherwise, they're great fun and teach you how to fish - and they clean/gut it at the end for you so you can cook at home or bring to the restaurant on the harbor where they will also cook for you (though the local restaurant - the Dock at Crayton Cove right at the end of the harbor - charges a hefty $25 to do so).
