I wish I had stopped with the vajacial service but unfortunately I purchased the laser hair removal package. The perfect scam is telling customers to purchase directly through their office instead of Groupon. I asked for a refund for unused sessions and the owner said she had to contact Groupon. When purchasing she's saying Groupon takes too much of her money. The truth is Groupon issues refunds and who knows if I'll be refunded for unused sessions. I was told over and over again I was too dark and to bleach my skin was the recommendation. I felt very unwelcome enduring these comments. My laser session with the owner was beyond horrible and no one could explain what had changed from the first session. Thankfully my regular esthetician found another spa that has vajacial services. I'm thankful I do not have permanent scarring from being burned by the owner with the laser. I am definitely looking for the state agency that governs estheticians. I seriously doubt I will receive a refund and will definitely contact BBB and any other agency that can help with this problem. read more

I have been going to sculpture for a few months, however I have to say I will no longer be returning. Not only has the owner Laurie shown many clients disrespect in front of other clients, but she also loves to discuss her political (racist) opinions. When asking about her business she once told me it was going down hill because African American women were trying to ruin it for her because she is white. Absolutely disappointed and disturbed, hope she isn't like this to anyone else. Also does not abide by mask mandate whatsoever. Please reconsider coming here. I'm not one to leave reviews, especially negative ones, but I URGE YOU TO NOT GO to SCULPTURE. By not sharing my experience I am doing a massive disservice to anyone who is looking to enhance their image. I purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal for my under arms and bikini line, and I'm truly devastated with the results. I only saw Laurie once (1/5 sessions). After my first session I was left with 1ST DEGREE BURNS under my arms and all along my bikini line, in the shape of the distinct rectangular laser head. I had to take off work for two days because the burns were unbearable. When I initially called to set up a consultation she told me I could come in the same day and she could treat me immediately. There was absolutely NO CONSULTATION done, and she started zapping me with the laser without warning (she told me it's better to not give a heads up...). After doing much research after my first and only treatment it is clear she is a negligent provider. My appointment was complete in a matter of 5-10 minutes. She did not take anytime to assess my skin, hair follicles, or adjust laser settings. Her years of experience mean absolutely nothing. 2 months later I have HYPERPIGMENTATION AND SCARRING in the areas she treated. I purchased this Groupon so I could reap the benefits before my beach vacation in December. Now I will walking into my vacation with an insecurity that I never had, and will be wearing a cover up most of the time. Additionally, when I called to speak with Laurie about my results and devastation, the receptionist tried to convince me that my situation was "normal". When anyone invests in a product or treatment you assume the professional let alone owner is an expert. This is NOT the case. I would hate for this to ever happen to any other women, so please do not take my review lightly. Worst experience of my life!!! On my 6 and final treatment of laser hair removal on my face the owner burn my face and left massive scaring. The session started off with the laser hurting more that it usually did. After she was finish my face was red and a heat was coming off of it. She placed ice on it and said it would get better, she then gave me expired lotion to place on it and sent me home. I did not notice the lotion was expired until I got home. On day 2 my face looked like I got burned so bad. I returned and she assured me that this happens and it's nothing to worry about. I was furious and I did not believe her. My face never got better. She offered me 2 treatment with Hilary for facials, while Hilary was amazing the treatment did nothing for my face. Disappointed. During my facial the owner chose to bad mouth a former employee and offer her opinion on the protests surrounding the Lee monument, which I thought was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. I changed the subject several times during my facial. Further, I understand many businesses like this may depend on product sales to keep their doors open, but her product-pushing contributed to an overall uncomfortable experience. I bought the laser hair removal for my upper lip. It seemed like a good price however after nine visits Plus tips I still had hair that was visible. The owner talks too much about her personal life which is uncomfortable. Also I was interested in Microneedling and they told me that they do not numb your face! I ended up going somewhere else for micro needling and if my face wasn't numbed I never would've been able to take the treatment. A plastic surgeon even told me that you have to have your face numbed because in order to get the full treatment (do it right) they have to go deep. You may think you are getting the right treatment with total sculpture but I feel they do things half way. read more

I purchased their Groupon for laser hair removal (large area) for the high bikini. Little did I know that high bikini didn't mean everything in the center. Just an inch in and and inch out of a bikini. Not a big deal but that's not the point.... I was new there and my appt was at 1pm. I walk through the door at 12:50pm and no one was at the front desk. I heard people talking in the back so I imagined they were with a client. 5 minutes passed then 10 then 20 then 30 and I was getting angry at the fact no one has come out to even check. There was no bell or anything to ring. Comes 1:45pm and the lady comes out all nonchalant at the fact that I've been waiting practically a hour. She could see I was ticked. I had to fill out paperwork still and I never went back into the room until 2pm!!!! Very unprofessional in my opinion. And they weren't helping a client, they were just training someone. Very displeased with the service. Then after my removal I made another appt with another lady and she looked like she didn't want to be there and asked me what type of laser I received and I told her large area and she rolled her eyes and had to look in my file for the exact thing whereas she could have easily asked me she needed the specifics. I was on Groupon trying to see what I could find as far as a good deal for laser hair removal. I had been getting it done in northern VA but now that I am in Richmond, VA the drive is a little too far for such a fast treatment. I had a few options to choose from as far as places to try. I choose this place because I felt like the pricing was fair. I wanted a medium area done. I called to see what they considered to be a medium area and explained to them what I was used to being a medium area. They said we will honor what you are used to. Instant brownie points in my book! I told them that I would like to pay them directly vs buying the groupon since I am a business owner myself and I know small businesses appreciate not having to go through the middle man all the time. They thanked me and we set up my first appointment. I LOVE that I can schedule appointments on Saturdays since my life during the week can be extremely busy. I met Laurie the owner and she was super sweet. Very informative about the process and I know she has a great understanding of products and their makeup (as far as ingredients go). The facility is very pretty, nice dark ambiance, pretty purple wall colors, clean and neat. The rooms are well lit and very clean as well. The process was very comfortable as well. I am on my forth treatment and it's still very comfortable. When I am done she always cleans my face off and if I need any moisturizer she is more than happy to provide me with some. I ended up getting the moisturizer she had available because LET ME TELL YOU...... that stuff is amazing!! I love it and worth every penny!! Laurie is a human not a business and her staff makes you feel like a person and not just a customer. They are so sweet and helpful. I have always had an enjoyable experience at Sculpture. Laurie and her staff care about you from the moment you walk in. She has done numerous services on me, and I have been pleased with every one of them. She is professional and knows what works with your skin type. As far as sanitation, I have not run into any concerns. I have seen their Medical Air Scrubber and UV wands that they use to keep the office clean. I always wear my mask inside, and I have seen them put on a mask if someone comes in without one. All in all, I highly recommend this office. You will not be disappointed! read more

I've never written a bad review about anything, but this was an AWFUL experience. Run far away. The owner, Lori (Laurie?), was my technician and the entire experience was terrible. She was so unprofessional and rude. Where do I even begin?! I bought a Groupon for laser hair removal on my lip, so I had to take off my mask when we entered the room (obviously) but then, SHE took off HER mask while she asked me basic intake questions, and we were certainly not 6 feet apart. I was so stunned and shocked! Her "bedside manner" is horrendous. I'm 6-months postpartum and she was insanely rude in how she talked about the melasma that I developed during pregnancy. Thank God I'm not suffering from PPD like I was after my first son, because I would have been a wreck after the way she spoke to me. She didn't take any time to ask me about how I felt about my own skin -- she just told me how bad SHE thought it was. And then she complimented her own skin in comparison to mine. Who does that?! (Please understand - I am not upset that she pointed out the discoloration of my skin, but the WAY in which she spoke to me was terrible.) She then took no time to explain what she was doing before putting some gel on my face and zapping my skin... she was too busy going off on a condescending rant about the Rodan + Fields skincare I use. She obviously feels some kind of way, because she said "Rodan + Fields isn't skincare, it's just a MLM scheme that gross people do to try and make money off people. You know that, right?" (Glad she called my R+F friends gross people...?) She then said "Oh, you got a Groupon right? Well, that's only for one treatment and you need 4-6." Her entire tone and demeanor is negative. I feel horrible she was in an accident, However.... she had her daughter come in and replace her AFTER their first replacement, and her daughter burned me!! Their machines do not work and none of my hair is gone. I will never return back here. They trash talk other clients and that's very unprofessional. I decided to wait a couple weeks after my touch up session before I left a review to see if there was hair reduction. I purchased 6 sessions of laser hair removal in which they did honor Groupon rates which I appreciated. However, after 6 sessions, I am still left with hair in some places that were not hit by the laser enough times (as to be expected). I believe the woman who did my laser hair removal was Laurie and for the most part she did a good job, there were just a couple places that she missed. I decided to go and get touchups and this is where I had an issue. 1) the woman who did my touch-ups was new and I had never seen her before and she totally missed everything that I pointed out to her and did not do a good job by any means. 2) when I asked if I could purchase another 3 sessions due to the fact that I knew I'd need more than 1 after the terrible job this woman did, the girl at the desk told me that they only honor Groupon prices for one purchase and that if I wanted touch-ups I'd have to purchase 3 individually at the price of $125. Thats a bit much for a touch-up when the woman who did mine barely touched anything up. If I'm going to pay $125 for a touch-up it better be done properly. I also would have appreciated if I was told that they only honor Groupon prices for one purchase before I got a touch-up because I would have purchased 3 more sessions elsewhere. I was blindsided when I payed $125 for nothing. There was 0 reduction in har growth after the touch-up. On top of everything, the girls that work at the desk have an attitude almost every time I go (not sure why). Just be aware that if you have a lot of hair, 6 sessions wont be enough and they do not offer any deals after you purchase the first one so you'll be stuck paying $125 for however many more sessions you need. read more

Each session that I had was swift and efficient! Scheduling was easy and I noticed an immediate difference with my hair removal even after my 1st session! I just finished my 6th and received attentive care and information on how to maintain the laser hair removal and information on if I would like any other procedures done. Purchased a Groupon which got me in the door of the business otherwise I'd never heard about them. I did the laser hair removal for 6 treatments. My results were subpar since there was no difference other then the hair being somewhat thinner in a total of 6 treatments I expected more of a difference. At the 4th treatment I added another body part for treatment where I continued those treatments for a total of 3 where again there was no change. I wasn't going to leave a bad review because it's always that case where results differ between people, but now that I started hair removal at another facility and in just 2 treatments I have 50% less hair I had to let people know that it wasn't me it was 100% the equipment they were using that was efficient. I left two stars because the staff and owner of the facility is very friendly and it's clean. I just cannot recommend the laser hair removal as a service. read more

*WARNING - PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING* Let me start by saying I'm a medical doctor, not a dermatologist, so I didn't really know what to expect here. I called before buying my Groupon for a microdermabrasion to verify 2 things: if these would be performed on pregnant women and when was a good time frame to do the treatment in preparation for my wedding. I was enthusiastically told by the receptionist that yes they did do them on anybody, and that two days before my wedding would give me good results. So I purchased the Groupon and made an appointment for 2 weeks later. Fast forward to 2 weeks later, I show up at my appointment time and wait for 30 minutes while what looked like the only technician (I didn't get her name - but dark hair, kind of tan) was doing a treatment with another customer. Then she has a 10 minute consultation with another customer trying to hock her unnecessary botox and fillers (at a ridiculous price, mind you). I filled out my paperwork and verified with her that she knew I was having my wedding in 2 days and that it was okay to perform the treatment on a preggo lady. She gasps and says no, absolutely no acids or antibiotics can be used on my skin at all, and any thing "not natural" could hurt my baby. I told her that was not accurate - I'm a doctor and I know that topical retinoids are the only things that need to be avoided. I told her I used salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide every night (yay for pregnancy acne) and these were totally safe. She then states, "Well, you must be okay with hurting your baby then." ARE YOU SERIOUS. Not only was that an incredibly ignorant response, but totally and unacceptably rude. I removed my paperwork from her (which she argued about, but that is my contact and medical information and I didn't want her having it). If I could give this place zero stars, I totally would. I thought my first visit went well for laser vein removal. WRONG. I have permanent vein damage in a few areas that should not have been treated. When I addressed it with the owner, I was told that it was "in the healing process" & my skin was bad. She would try to "lighten" them for no charge. 5 months later, no change. If my skin was bad, why did she even proceed. Do yourselves a favor and get the needle injections for spider vein removal. Much less pain and far more effective. So I purchased a groupon that was for laser vein treatments at Sculpture in May/June 2017. I made my first appointment toward the end of the summer and had my consultation with Laurie who was so very helpful and friendly. She told me that my veins were too big for the laser removal so the sclerotherapy would be better for me. She told me she would still accept the value of the groupon toward my treatment so that way I didn't have to go thru groupon and try and get my money back which I really appreciated. Afterwards, it then took me about 6 months to finally get my appointment with the doctor. The doctor kept cancelling and rescheduling and cancelling and rescheduling. Hillary, by the way, was so great during all of that, because although she couldn't do anything about it she tried her best to make sure I was still as happy as I could be considering the circumstance and always called me with the updates. She was definitely a huge help. I finally got in for my appointment in March 2018. I ended up paying, including the cost of the groupon, about $450 for the sclerotherapy. The results as of September 2018, are worse than before. I have been very self-conscious about my legs since having my daughter in March 2017 because I got so many spider veins on my legs from swelling that i'm too embarrassed to wear dresses, shorts, etc. I thought this is it! I can finally wear whatever I want this summer! I even paid $100 for the stockings I had to wear for a week or 2 afterwards. Turns out, I was dead wrong. The spots that he did treat, look as though there's a permanent bruise there. I was told healing time would take 6weeks - 3 months for them to heal and go away completely.( I was only told this after I called 2 days later freaking out about why they weren't already gone b/c the doctor never told me the healing time) It is now right around 6 months later and it looks no different than it did 5 months ago. I would absolutely warn anyone from going here for spider vein treatments. The needle was bent while he was putting it in my leg (at the time I thought maybe it was supposed to be that way but realized that's probably not so) and poor Hillary had to try and bandage my leg in 20 different spots and hold down the tape and put pressure on my leg and 5 other things all at the same time. I felt as though the doctor had somewhere to be and maybe that's why he was so frazzled and quick and maybe didn't even realize the needle was bent, I don't know. I now have to go somewhere else and pay again to have all of this fixed and done correctly. I will not go back as the doctor that is working In that office is unreliable and is CLEARLY not qualified to be treating spider veins. read more

The owner, Lauri, is dishonest, extremely unprofessional and rude. I primary went there for facial doing microdermabrasion. Hilary who was working with me was fantastic, very professional and honest. While I was there for facial, I decided to check on their laser hair removal. Hilary introduce me to Lauri who I found out was completely dishonest from the beginning. Lauri code me for $60 per session claiming that is 70% off their original price for laser hair removal on small area such as mine, and said I need to do at least 6 session. Even though I thought I saw different price on their website, I accepted thinking I may made mistake. It took her less than a minute to put a cream on my face, do the laser. Have done laser before, I knew right away that she doesn't know what she is doing. She didn't even do the area correctly that I wanted laser on. There was absolutely zero result. After I got home, I check their website to make sure if she coded me correctly or not. Their full price didn't even come to $60 per session for the small are such as mine. Thinking she must made mistake, I called their office to ask her. I left a message for her explaining the reason for my call and ask to call me which she never did. I called second time, she still refused to talk with me. I called for the 3rd time and left a message for her with Hilary which she said that she would return my call. Not hearing from her, I called again for the 4th time just to decide if I want to keep my scheduled appointment with her and Hilary. This last time Hilary said that she is sorry, but Lauri is not going to make an adjustment. I canceled my appointment with Lauri, Got my last session with Hilary because I already paid for it and never went back there again. My advice is to find another reliable, experienced, honest location for laser hair removal. It might appear to be more expensive, but at least you'll rest assured that it will be done correctly, professionally, based on honesty, and you end up paying much less. Laurie! A big rude liar and racist. Please never ever try their service!!!! I got the worst experience!!!!!!!! I tried the oxygenating trio facial treatment on Saturday. They told me that the product is super nice for your face, you need to leave it overnight on your face, and don't wash your face until tomorrow morning. I did exactly what they told me. However on Sunday morning, my whole face was swollen, and it was very hard to open my eyes. My whole face was hurt too. I called them everyday since that, they are closed on Sunday and Monday. On Monday my face was still swollen. And my face starting peeling off since Tuesday. Now it's Saturday. And it has been a week. Some areas of my face still hurt. And skin is peeling off everyday. And there are two very very obvious wrinkle under my eyes now caused by the swollen. And looks like it is irreversible. I called them everyday, but nobody picked up my phone. And I went back to the spa place this morning and tried to ask for solutions. Laurie was so rude to me and my friend. I didn't say I'm blaming on her and she was yelling at me the whole time when I talked to her. She said they never put products on my eyes. But my eyes start peeling off after the facial. And I asked for a copy of my records. Initially she said she needs to ask her doctor. When I asked for a second time, she said no. She can't give me record, because I don't have any right to get my own record, which does not make any sense. Every customer and patient has their own LEGAL RIGHT to ask a copy of their own records! She also lied that there was no any customer who had anything happened to them within 15 YEARS. BUT ironically this place was established in 2008!!!! NOW IS 2019!!!! My friend tried to ask her a question. She yelled at her: I'm not talking to you! You stay there! AND she was blaming on me that I didn't leave a voice mail. I just don't understand why she was sooo rude. And I was not going to find a trouble for them. I just wanted to ask what should I do to recover faster. And I got this rude treatment. She pushed all the products on me afterwards too (which totaled to a $500 skin care line!). The most stressful facial I ever had. I just escaped from my oxygenated trio facial. I could not wait to get out. I heard someone calling me from the reception hidden a half wall. The person could not even get up and greet me. Unfortunately, she was the person who was to give me my treatment. She did not explain anything about the facial, made no comments about my skin, asked no questions, never said a single word except to say that the mask needed to,stay on for 10 minutes. She acted like she was on speed, going through the motions as fast as she could. She also,wore ill fitting plastic gloves which were very abrasive. She scrub used is too coarse for delicate akins and left a burning sensation. The entire facial consisted of washing, scrubbing,mask and a light moiturizer. No skin examination, no massage, nothing. The esthetician was unpleasant. At the end, she wished me a nice day but did not inquire about my experience, did not offer a glass of water.
