I placed an order for a custom cake for my hubby's birthday with the specific request that the cake be nut-free as one of the guests is allergic. The planning and ordering process went smoothly, as did the pickup. My friend who was coming to the party offered to pick the cake and double checked with Mitali if they cake was nut-free, and was told the frosting had NUTELLA! I immediately messaged Mitali midway between the party to hear "Hey. Yes it is nut free. I'm sorry. I had another cake with Nutella filling. So I got little confused. But I might have used same spatula for both." While ordering the cake I was assured that it will be completely nut-free but since she does keeps nuts in her kitchen, she cannot guarantee cross contamination. However using the same Nutella spatula on a nut-free cake is not acceptable. I was beyond embarrassed and upset that my specific allergy restriction request was 1) ignored 2) I was not even notified of this error until I specifically asked her after the cake was picked up. Had I not double checked with her in between hosting the party, my guest (a child! ) would have had a severe allergic reaction. The cake itself was beautiful, moist and had a good flavor. But given the blatant disregard to honor a dietary restriction request left a sour taste in our mouths and we did not enjoy the cake. For me this is an inexcusable oversight and would not choose to work with or recommend this business in the future. read more

After I put in an order request, ommunication with this company has been very spotty - until I left a negative review for them on FB. We received the letter cookie cake that I ordered and it looks NOTHING like the photo I sent them. The photo I sent was directly from a listing they had on FB marketplace. When I asked if it could be made like the photo - they assured me they could. The cake we got is sloppy, beige frosting instead of white, about 3 cut strawberries, a bunch of Ferraro Rocher (which wasn't even in the initial photo) and all of the other details are completely different. Super disappointed that it won't even match our baby shower theme. When they saw my negative review, they messaged me saying "I'm sorry to disappoint you. Somehow I'm so many orders I forgot the details. I truly apologize. I can give you full refund as well to make it right to you. Please let me know. We work very hard to please all the clients. And feel very bad when we fail to do so. If the full refund can make you change your review we would really appreciate it." They FORGOT the details and asked me to change my review if they issued a full refund?! I would appreciate a cake with the details we agreed upon. A full refund doesn't change the fact that it's completely different. Please see the photo attached. Left is what they advertised, right is what I got.
