Buying a home is a really intimidating process, and on top of that we were applying for a VA loan, so needed to feel confident that we were working with experts. As soon as we met Cornelia, we were reassured that we were in the right hands. Cornelia has years of experience (especially with VA loans) and a demonstrated passion for the industry she's in and it shows. She answered all of our million questions, is incredibly knowledgeable about the home buying/loan process and was available all the time (she took our calls at 10pm!). Overall she made the entire process so much easier than we thought it would be and took care of all the nitty gritty paperwork and liaising with our lender. But what truly set them apart was Cornelia's genuine customer service and attention to details. With Matt, I don't have to play that game anymore. I can call him knowing I'm getting one of the most competitive rates available. He's not trying to pad the rate or make extra money by adding unnecessary spread--he's straightforward and transparent. I've also learned that when you're buying a home, getting the loan closed is priority #1. A slightly lower rate doesn't matter if the deal falls apart. Matt understands that and knows how to get deals across the finish line. On our most recent purchase, we ran into a major appraisal issue late in escrow that required switching to a different loan product. I honestly thought the deal was dead. Matt somehow found us a new lender, secured an even better rate, and got everything closed within an incredibly short timeframe. It felt like he pulled a rabbit out of a hat. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my financing. Beyond being excellent at what he does, he's just a genuinely great guy to work with.
