Cody assisted us through the whole process from pre-qualification to underwriting and final funding. Each of the steps required documentation for which Cody always provided a rationale. He's got the fastest turnaround across all loan agents. From the start, we'd identified a property ahead of our planned purchase window and Cody produced a pre-qualification letter overnight. On facilitating underwriting, he's versed with calculating complex debt-to-income with the stock plans and/or S-Corp/LLC business incomes. Lastly, the buyers we were in contract with had specific recording requirements with the county while we had time constraints with the moving crew. Cody navigated this situation by getting the clear to close early and coordinating with escrow agents for recording as planned on our timeline! We refinanced with George H - who worked with us to select the best option available for our situation. Overall the service was great, response times were quick, and the application process was relatively straightforward. A quick comment on some of the 1 star reviews by others: I recognize that the frustration from the commenters are genuine - and I do wish their loans closed on time for them. But with that said,... I have done several mortgage financing in the past decade, and in every situation - I was always asked to provide more information or more documents - whether it be an updated paystub, an updated ID, or a letter of explanation. I feel as though this is actually the "typical experience" when applying for a mortgage, and you have to be prepared for it to help ensure a quick, timely close. read more

In the past few years I've acquired one mortgage on a purchase and done two refis. I used Better.com before twice and Loanlock blew them out of the water. I shopped hard on this refi - I checked local brokers, Costco's mortgage program, Better.com, etc. Loanlock was a winner by a quarter point with similar terms. Obviously rates vary but I'm hugely impressed by the rate I got compared to the rest of the market. Even with the low cost I never felt like I was getting anything but expertise and great service. Jennifer was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and prompt. Jennifer showed an abundance of caution quoting closing costs - she was careful to include a few "maybes" so we wouldn't be surprised. We refinanced with Jennifer in the spring, and at the time, I thought we'd never have a reason to do another 30 year refinance. But, lo and behold, rates somehow went even lower, so we started looking into it again. Exactly as we expected and remembered from the spring, the entire process was completely painless and well worth it. If anything, Jennifer is arguably *too* responsive - I'm not sure she ever sleeps! Overall I had a good experience. Loan lock and Steph Pulido provided me the lowest rate. Steph was very responsive and checked in frequently. Due to Thanksgiving week and maybe the remote nature of things, there were some delays which could've resulted in some extra fees but Loan Lock, Steph Pulido, and Daniel Devine worked with us to get keep the originally quoted rate without the extra fees. Worked with Ron Burton, nice job overall. 3rd Refi this year and I've worked with different companies each time in the past: AIM Loan, Better, etc. LoanLock seemed to have the most streamlined system for getting it done. They offer a float down which is cool, and at the time the best rates I could find (although I urge you to get 3-4 bids even if you like a company, pricing changes daily). After the initial doc request they really only need 1 or 2 "extra" pieces of info. Some companies ask you for docs every other day as it passes from person to person. Totally over promised and under delivered. Steven Azizi told me he could get the loan funded by June 24th and then asked me to pay $500 for an accelerated appraisal. I paid the money and now they tell me they cannot fund until July. I lose a $10k earnest money deposit if I wait for them. They knew I needed the funding by 6/26 at latest and led me to believe it was going to happen. Steven promised me a phone call first thing this morning and I still haven't received that call. I am out the $500. If you have a time crunch, do not use this company. read more
