We were indecisive for about ten minutes lol. Finally, we decided on the two drinks pictured! First off, let me just say that the customer service here is absolutely unmatched. They are super nice, and answered any questions that we had and they were genuinely eager to answer everything. They take time to make sure that your drink is perfect and when they were done making our drinks they even took pictures of it which we did too. These things came out perfect! The frappes taste SO GOOD. The whipped cream that they have is actually made in house! It's super thick and tastes so fresh. They even put a nice piece of cheesecake on mine. I loved this place. I wish there was one of these where I live!

The merchant mistakenly added a 'Fresas Nut Cheese' frappe that I never ordered. I asked quickly to the merchant how many will I be given since the amount did not seem right and she said 2 and I received 3, but they refused to remove it. The receipt shows the extra item that I did not order. Terrible staff and more importantly terrible boss, they need their ears cleaned and hearing aids.

Waterfront Cantina (Naguabo): Mexican Fare, Fresh Fish, Cheap Drinks ... What More Can You Ask For?…read more Waterfront Cantina is a small indoor and outdoor restaurant and bar across the street from the beach in Playa Naguabo with a reasonable Mexican and fish menu and drinks from $2.50-$6.00. Starters run from $5.95 to $13.95, dinners are $8.49 to $14.95, and drinks are $2.50 to $6.50. Cold beer, affordable prices, and friendly service make Waterfront Cantina a great place for a cool drink or a hot meal. We stopped in several times during our week in Punta Santiago for drinks and on our final night for the nightly SPECIAL ... Two entrees (one fish/one meat), two glasses of Sangria, and dessert for two, all for just $25. We ordered the beef fajitas for two, about 8 ounces of marinated skirt steak each with plenty of guacamole, shredded cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and tortillas for three decent size tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious although the garlic was a little excessive even for my taste. The sangria was good and dessert well done with a slice of cheesecake drizzled with chocolate sauce and topped with four small, crispy mini-churros. With a sea view, flat-screen TV (football on Sunday), and an owner who speaks English, it is a very tourist friendly option in an area where most locals have limited English speaking skills. Since it didn't have any meat in it, the waiter kindly added some guacamole to the side without charging me extra. For $9, it was a good-sized portion that included tortilla chips. However, I have definitely had better burritos elsewhere. It was more on the bland side as far as traditional Mexican food goes.

We had a variety of smoked meats, the mahi mahi over coconut rice, and the smoked pastrami. Their sides were also really good, and so were the mixed drinks. The outside seating was made comfortable with numerous fans and cover for rain/sun. The service was also great. You will definitely want to make a reservation ahead of time.

There is an uncovered patio with seating and straw-covered umbrellas. We did not have a reservation, but were able to get seated within 10 minutes of arrival. A reservation is a must. There is an area adjacent to the restaurant that sells the food items by the pound. This is one of the more expensive places to eat on this side of the island. The smell of the smoked meat and seasonings is intoxicating, drawing you in. I had a glass of lemonade, Caribbean Chicken Wings Ceviche, and a smoked tuna dip. My main course was the grilled lobster and fries. I sampled the cole slaw, red beans, and rice. The lemonade was very watery, as if it had been poured before and was ready for guests when they ordered it, since it was served quickly. Would take a pass on this. The Caribbean Chicken Wings were delightful. It has a sweet, smoky, slightly crunchy texture, with just a pinch of spice, heat, and flavor. I enjoyed this and did not want to share with family. The smoked tuna dip was delightful, not overly creamy, and retained the tuna's texture and flavor; I wanted to order another and would have appreciated a few more wings than what was served. The Ceviche was a little underwhelming but done well. I am on the picket fence on whether pineapple helps or hurts the dish, so I would pass on this when going back. The grilled lobster was beautifully presented. The spices and grilled marks were prominent and beautiful. The spices and flowers were just amazing, and they retained the lobster flavor despite the bold seasonings. The red beans and rice were well-cooked, but had very little flavor. This was disappointing given how ubiquitous this dish is on the island and the restaurant's ability. My son had the El Matahambre: "Kill your hunger" BBQ sandwich. Pulled pork, smoked bacon, BBQ sauce, and cheddar on a local bread called Mayorca. I sampled the pork. Tender, well done, seasoned, and perfect. This is a must-stop place. Remember to set a reservation, and that this is not a cheap place to eat. I want to go back soon, and I am wondering if they would ever consider chicken beyond the appetizer.
