This place fixed my attitude in the best way. If you're a nacho fan, don't pass by the shrimp fajita version. It's got just enough vegetables to convince yourself it's a salad despite its copious amount of melted cheese. If you're looking for some delicious Mexican food, come to this restaurant on Bowman Road! My wife and I were spending the night at the Hilton Garden Inn on Kanis Road on a Tuesday, and it was after 7 pm, and we wanted to eat somewhere close by. Mexican sounded good, and we found Senor Tequila only a couple minutes away. The restaurant was easy to find but parking could be challenging if you have a large vehicle. The restaurant is located in a strip mall type location and isn't too fancy looking. Once inside, we were seated quickly and our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Shrimp Enchiladas, which is three large Enchiladas covered with a creamy cheese sauce and served with a portion of Mexican rice. My wife ordered the Ranchero Special, which is a mixed grilled beef, chicken and shrimp served over rice with a cheese sauce. Both were delicious and well prepared! Some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had in a while. They also serve an excellent house margarita: small or medium. I ordered medium because, why not. The medium was huge! So, get a small if you don't want a lot of margarita. The only downside is that the restaurant seems to be the watering hole for locals, and they were getting pretty intoxicated even on a Tuesday night! We were seated next to a couple and their single girlfriend. The girlfriend was several drinks deep and regaled us all with her failing love life with very explicit descriptions. Much better experience this time. Even the lunch specials have plenty of food. We ordered nachos tequila as an appetizer then lunch fajitas. We are taking home enough food for two more meals! Mexican cuisine is my wife's favorite. We have been to everyone that I know of in our area. Señor Tequila is close to the Sam's Club we frequent about 30 miles from our home. We were very pleased with the entire dining experience. We were seated right away and the chips and salsa were brought out almost before we sat down all the way. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. My wife's go to meal is the chicken chimichanga. I like to try a variety of meals so it's usually something different every time. I really like fajitas, but I like to have my vegetables cooked longer than they normally cook them. I don't care for them crunchy in my fajitas. I finally quit ordering fajitas in most restaurants because they rarely came out like I like them and I seldom if ever send food back to be recooked. So, I ordered the fajitas here and requested them to be cooked extra. I was elated when they came out perfectly and in very generous portions. We have no complaints about this visit whatsoever. I like to start a review on a positive note. The chips are thick and flavorful served with a piquant hearty salsa. Both were enjoyable. That the extent of the good discussion. We ordered the lunch specials. My wife's came with rice OR beans. The server FAILED to inquire about her preference. So, when rice arrived she onstage wanted beans. The server then stated "you ordered rice". She replied "no I did not". The server then stated, "Well he ordered it". When I replied no I did not he was DISMISSIVE and FAILED TO EVEN OFFER beans as an option. It's a good thing my wife grabbed the check. I just finished my day shift at the hospital and was hungry. I wanted to try this restaurant since I usually go to Senior Tequila in Cantrell. I ordered cheese dip and fajita. I came home feeling exhausted and took a shower and opened the bag and found out they forgot tortillas. How do you eat fajita without tortilla? I called the restaurant if they can refund me that portion of my order since I didn't want to drive all the way back to the restaurant again back and forth for 25 min after I took shower. They told me they can't refund that portion and told me to come to pick it up at the restaurant. Driving another 25 min for tortilla? But, they forgot to put the order in my bag at first place. Absolutely the best Mexican food I've had in a while. We ordered through Door Dash and our food was still hot when it got to us. I ordered the fajita taco salad with chicken and beef. I poured cheese dip over it and delicious does not begin to describe it. The meats were tender as were the veggies. The cheese dip has a garlic taste which personally I prefer. Plus, usually when you order cheese dip, you get a very small container and a handful of chips. When you order from ST, you get not 1 but TWO bags of chips and a pint sized container of cheese dip. We were so surprised with the quick service to seat us down, they did not hesitate to accommodate our party of 9. Our server Sandra was GREAT!!! Received us with a smile, and attended to us the same way all through our stay. Prices are reasonable, we come from Texas and it was definitely wallet friendly. Kids menu was good, kids enjoyed their food (we have picky eaters) the food was delicious, my parents are 100 percent Mexican and loved the food, the whole atmosphere in general was great!
