I had the most amazing 2 nights sleep in room 212...The Bed is 5 star comfortable.. felt like I was on Cloud 9... great little hotel but I still say the owners are idiots for posting signs to not back in vehicles but they don't have the Balls to enforce it!! I also noticed the room next to us had the aroma of authentic Indian Cuisine.. kind of rude to cook such amazing food and not offer it to your guests .. I suspect the owner of this establishment lives in one of the rooms... @grok please verify!!!

This was my first time staying at an inn and I wasn't mad at it. It was within walking distance of everything and our windows had a great view! The rooms looked remodeled and the bed was comfortable. We had the essentials of a room which is all you really need - a TV, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and central heating/cooling. The room was clean. The hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner looked like they'd been in the containers longer than they should been. We bought our own bar soap to shower with. 2 sets of towels were provided and unlike a hotel, when we asked for more towels they couldn't provide any because there weren't any extras. That was more just a lesson learned for us to bring our own towels. The water got hot but the water pressure sucked. There was no fan in the bathroom, but at least we had a window. Their full-length mirror was cool with the light, but it could have been placed a bit higher on the wall. Parking was easy. Check-in/out was quick and easy too! The front desk dude was friendly and answered any questions we had. The walls aren't soundproof, so you can hear your neighbors if they are talking loudly or turning on the water. But surprisingly, you couldn't hear the doors opening and closing like in hotels. It was a lovely stay for our short stay and I wouldn't mind staying again. If were were staying for more than 1 night, we might have gotten a hotel just for more space and longer comfort.

These rooms are very nice. Clean and well kept. We reserved a single room with queen bed, which comes with a microwave, and mini fridge that has that little tiny freezer section inside at the top. There's also a full length mirror with built in light. That was very cool to use. Oh and they have fire pits outside with benches. The front desk holds fire logs that you can use. That was a very nice touch. Everything inside the rooms have been updated, from the headboard to the wall art. The walls are kinda thin though. Not thin enough to hear people talk, but I did hear someone cough loud, and snore during the night. Also the floors are hardwood, so if you stay in the lower level rooms, it will sound like people are moving furniture above you, and you'll be able to hear every time someone flushes the toilet. We had no problem falling asleep though, so other than the very thin walls, everything was great.

Sea Air Inn is a cute inn located in the Morro Bay area and is within walking distance of several restaurants. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. One recommendation is that it can be chilly at night, so bring a jacket. Also, great people. We didn't realize that there was not a late check-in option, and they were nice enough to wait for us because we were driving all the way from Carmel by the Sea. I would definitely stay there again.

Very rude staff. I love Morro Bay but my booking with Sea Air almost ruined my trip. Don't waste your your time.

Excellent service and TLF was to highest standards. Unfortunately the beach was closed.

Many reviewers mentioned how clean the property was and how comfortable the beds were, so I came in with high expectations, especially since it has a 5-star rating on Yelp. Upon arrival, I was greeted by who I believe was the owner. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain how everything worked, including the air conditioning and refrigerator. From what I could tell, she and her husband are the primary people running the inn, and they were both wonderful hosts. Throughout my stay, they checked in to make sure everything was going well, which I really appreciated. When I walked into the room, the reviews were absolutely right. Everything was spotless--from the bedding and carpet to the bathroom. I was also pleasantly surprised by the shower's water pressure. At many hotels it's either too weak or inconsistent, but here it was just right. The bed was also very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. This isn't a luxury hotel, but it does exactly what it promises, especially for the price. It's clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near downtown and the pier. If you're looking for an affordable and well-maintained place to stay in the area, I would highly recommend this inn.

First of all, it's affordable, which means more cash left over for fine scotch and local adventures. The rooms are quiet, clean, and refreshingly minimal--none of that unnecessary hullabaloo. Just the essentials, delivered with class. And let me tell you about the "Magic Fingers" bed feature. Great Odin's raven! Nothing says luxury quite like a soothing massage after a long day of strolling around town. Then, when you emerge from the shower like a majestic sea lion, there's a heat lamp waiting to warm you up. It's the kind of innovation that makes America proud. The customer service? Fast, friendly, and more dependable than Baxter guarding a wheel of cheese. The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Location-wise, this place is in a prime spot. It's close to all the worthwhile shops and cafés, making it easy to enjoy the best of Morro Bay without having to embark on some epic quest. Would I stay here again? You stay classy, Sundown Inn. You can tell they've put effort into keeping it fresh and comfortable. The staff? Genuinely friendly and helpful - great recommendations, warm greetings, and they actually acknowledge you as a member (which, let's be honest, doesn't always happen everywhere). Also...major bonus points for being dog-friendly. My pup was living his best life here. Now, let's talk breakfast. Or...my lack of breakfast. If you're plant-based, your options are basically: * Toast * Fruit * Plain oatmeal (if you're feeling adventurous) Meanwhile, my dog was over there enjoying what I like to call "my breakfast." Day one: cheese omelette. Day two: scrambled eggs and potatoes. Honestly, he was thrilled. I get that it's a standard hotel breakfast setup, but in 2026, throwing in one solid vegan option doesn't feel like a wild ask. Even a simple oatmeal bar or plant-based protein would go a long way. That said, everything else about the stay was great - clean, comfortable, welcoming, and easy. I'd absolutely stay here again... I'll just plan to bring my own breakfast.
