There website doesnt seem to post the negative reviews to give and honest opinion. The intitial installation was so bad that when wind blew it sounded like a train on the roof. After 11 months they finally moved the panels. Also is solar worth it. When you add what you pay be it cash or a loan and the monthly state city charges it adds up. Make sure its sized correctly too. We first met Rolando Soto with Sea Bright Solar at the Pomona Home Show, he explained how their solar panels are better than the others out there and he was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions that we had at the time. We scheduled an at home meeting and he gave us some homework, we needed to know how many KWHs we used the previous year, so I went to the Edison web site and started figuring it out and when he came to our home I knew exactly how many KWHs we used and the presentation that he showed us, let us know how many panels we would need to offset our electric bill based on the bills we have been paying. At the time we could only afford to have half of the panels installed and Rolando assured us that we could add on to them any time we wanted. So we had solar installed on our home in April 2019 and added to them in February 2020. I told them I wouldn't write a review until I received a bill from Edison. I finally received a settlement bill from Edison this month, November 2020, and we have a credit of over $500.00! Thank you to Rolando and everyone we worked with to have our solar installed and working so we will never have to pay another electric bill! I really wanted to take the time to update this review instead of entirely removing so everyone can at least know every company is not perfect, but it's how a company handles situations when things don't go right that truly shows how good a company is. I did have a no call no show appointment by seabright, but quickly after them being notified of my overlooked appointment, Chris Palmer really tried his best to rectify the situation and really offered ample opportunities for another meet via person or zoom. I chose zoom for its convenience. Chris had a really competitive quote to get the work done and really did a great job at explaining the cost and recommendations etc. I already knew what I wanted when going solar and Chris did a good job about skipping the whole sales portion and getting down to the nitty gritty of what I wanted to know, the bottom line numbers and my options. In the end it was between this company and another and the other honestly just nudge them out on who we really just had a better gut feeling about even though both were neck and neck. I just know my friend and I who both signed up for solar that if something went south with our current company, we would be calling Chris back to finish the install. I started the process with this company to get solar on my house at the very beginning of June I still do not have active solar as they failed to communicate multiple times throughout the process they have now failed inspection with the inspector twice. Price was good. I got a rebate for $1020 after the solar install. It took about 8 weeks to get it and it is a credit card. Be prepared to compare apples to apples and not apples to oranges. 4/5 stars Install was good. On time and clean. The actual install of panels took one day. However, the whole process took longer than I thought. From start to finish, I think it was about 10-12 weeks. 3/5 stars Overall service was ok. I had to make calls to find out information on my install. As the process continued, it seemed like I was talking to someone different every time. I was also sent a wrong invoice and I had to track down my invoice to pay the correct amount. It worked out. 3/5 stars Sales person was great. Rolando was straight forward and didn't pressure me into a purchase. He gave me the information and left it at that. He didn't call all the time which is a good thing. 5/5 stars Electric bill is lower. For the month of March 2021, I don't pay a bill and I got a credit form SCE. After months of waiting we finally got our system installed and commissioned for service. The system was put on line yesterday but evidently they are pretty sloppy about whether or not it is done correctly. I am getting NEGATIVE NUMBERS for two items on the App and after more than two hours on hold the problem still exists. First I was told the problem would be resolved in one hour and then on the second call after that didn't happen, I am told it will be three business days. And of course, no one could tell me why the timeframe went from one hour to three business days. Their telephone support is the typical "Call Center" with people answering the phone who don't have a clue and are unable to answer any question either because they are not trained on the equipment or they don't understand the english language. They have to keep "checking" with somebody who might have a clue, all the while keeping you on hold listening to annoying repetitive statements every 30 seconds telling you how much they value your call. Sunpower's solar equipment may be very good but their customer support is as bad as it gets. I would suggest a manufacturer other than Sunpower unless you enjoy spending your life on hold. I don't think it is Seabright Solar's fault (the dealer and installer), but rather SunPower themselves. However Sunpower is who you are stuck with if you have technical problems. read more

Today I had the pleasure of working with Michael Jarrett. He came to my new home to fix my Solar. I had approval to have it activated but it would not connect to the internet. The Service Center has tried twice and I had tried several times but no luck. Michael came this morning with a smile and all his knowledge of Solar! He told me he was going to get me up and running in no time. He went right to work and got the internet to connect. I have to say what he did next was the topper for me! He could have said - "well you're connected" and left ... but that's not what he did. He ran several tests to make sure my system was running correctly. And it was not! There was some wires that were crossed and I would not have received any credit for my Solar!! If you are thinking about financing your solar panels with their low interest vendor (starts with the letter 'M'), complete their prequalification step first. Our application was denied because of a recent, late credit card payment despite having a credit score of greater than 800. Had we known about the very strict criteria of loan company 'M', we would not have had meetings with Sea Bright and received a proposal. In my opinion, the loan seems very low risk since the panels are collateral that is mounted on the roof of a house with greater than 50 percent equity. In addition, the regular monthly payment to the electric utility company is diverted to the loan balance. Better luck to you! read more

Wade really worked with us to make sure the system design met our needs and didn't try to sell us anything more. Despite all the hurdles caused by the covid pandemic Sea Bright was able to install and get final inspection very quickly. The SunPower panels are working flawlessly. The fact that they are the most efficient panel in the industry helped us maximize the amount of solar production in a space constrained roof area without having to have panels located in another roof section. Sea Bright Solar is a first class company. Everyone who works for them is great and gives Superior Customer Service. I sat through 14 presentations from other Solar Companies. What I didn't tell them was I had a lot of knowledge about Solar. I had built with a friend 2 40 megawatt Solar Systems on a ground mount a few years ago. I let these guys give their pitch and most didn't know much about Solar and lied to get a sale. Wade from Sea Bright came by and gave a great presentation and knew what he was talking about. He was very kind and caring. He never pushed for a sale, just let the facts speak for themselves. She explained all the finance options and I chose the best for me. After signing the contract and putting a down payment Sea Bright went to work. They did a site inspection, ran conditut for the panels, and the ran them in the attic as far as the could. When the crew came out they took two days and where done. The job site was cleaned up perfect. Nothing left behind. SCE failed to show up to connect the system to their grid but Rick was on that ASAP and got them out the next day. Riverside County Building Inspector came out and approved the system. The Inspector said they are his best Solar Company. A week later a I got Permission to Operate from Edison. My neighbor down the street likes to brag about his system, but my system put out twice the Kw Hrs his did. Sea Bright Solar is the only company to gobeith. Had my system over 5 years now and its doing great. I pay $2 a month to Edison then they pay me $180 at the end of the year because I'm generating more than I am using. Sea Bright are highly competent technically and worked to size my system for a bit below break-even. But life happens and my household got smaller and greener. All good. They over-sized my inverter at my request, at no extra charge in case I add an EV or more panels. Why not five stars then? Well, back in the day, we were expecting delivery and install before the New Year so we could book the tax rebate. There was a mix up with the panels and I didn't get the beautiful black ones I was after, and they were delivered New Years Eve. No time to install or fuss about changing them. Then the licensing and permitting meant we were into about April before they could be turned on, so that wasn't SeaBrights fault necessarily. My panels are Evergreen polycrystalline panels, which are lower efficiency so bigger, but also greener than the ingot-cut ones. So I'm OK with them. Except that company has gone bust now, so if I need to replace a panel, they will have a mismatch. I had to ask the installers to cut the rails so they didn't overhang from the array, which they did. But its a reasonably tidy south facing 17 panel 3.5kW array. read more

The installation works well and generates power. But they sold me monitoring for each panel that does not work. I have not been able to get the monitoring information to determine if the electric company is giving me full credit. Called Daryl and he sent guys out to run a wire externally on my house to my router and made a big hole in my wall without a receptacle box. The Ethernet wire was just pulled thru a hole and slapped drywall patch around the hole. Looks like crap. Real professional work., NOT. That was two months ago. The monitoring system is not hooked up and working. He said he needed a software update. Never called me. Then I called him and he said he would call me back with a day when the workers could stop by after work to download and make it work. Never called. I called him today and he said they are too busy working 6 days a week. So I am now told I have to wait three more weeks before he might be able to send someome. So be careful. Selecting these guys. They do not follow up you will have to be on them constantly to get anything they promise. They sold me a monitoring system and they said they monitor it and all systems they install to to make sure they are always working and don't have problems. Bull crap never did and can't because they never hooked it up. read more

Once installed and paid for I had trouble getting them to come out and service system when red light came on stating ark in system (at 18 months). Took 3 calls to get service date 3 weeks away. First 2 times called they never called back for service date and third time called no record of first or second request for service.............update, week later my salesman called and apologized for problems with service request. Got somebody out within week. read more
