The work Paul did was amazing. He was very professional and took his time. I will be sharing pictures of what it looks like, but it looks outstanding. I did not expect him to install my charger on the wall, but he did. I asked about 20 different electricians to install my EV charger and they were all charging me 1500+. Paul, he only charged me $650. I think that is very reasonable, especially in this economy and the hard times people are facing. Also, he was nice enough that, when he showed me the first picture, there was miscommunication and the wrong plug was installed. My charger needed to be hard wired and a plug was installed instead. Paul charged me $200.00 for a service call for my solar system. I gave him the code my monitoring system had so he tested for a ground fault. The system showed a ground fault. I asked him how much it would cost to find and fix the problem. He quoted me $1300.00 to remove the panels and inspect the wiring. Yes, it may have been my fault to assume that included the repair. I got home from work and the panels appeared to be back in place. he told me he found a connection that was not completely plugged in and thought that was the issue. I had left again but headed back to home because I had forgotten something. Another electrician had called me and was asking about the status, I put him on the phone with Paul when I returned home. Paul, at that point said if the system faulted out again that the connectors should be replaced. We all agreed. Chase the other electrician asked for info on where the connections were because if Paul did not fix them he would probably have to. a day and half later I discovered the problem had not been fixed and contacted Paul. He was very unprofessional and argumentative in texts. He was unhappy that I felt for the $1300.00 he should have replaced the connections and that I wish he had told me before he had put the panels back in place. I told him I did not want to argue. He originally agreed to come back and do it complaining how things that were not his fault fall on him. He told me he had had ordered the connectors and the would arrive in 2 days and he would be out. Then he changed his tune and said he would not do for free. He had continued sending me text after text after I told him I did not wish to argue so I had finally broken down and told him I would just post a negative review and file a complaint with the BBB and leave it to determine the outcome. He accused me of trying to bully him. The other electrician told me that $1300.00 was a pretty steep price to come remove the panels and inspect without doing any repairs other than making sure the connectors were plugged in. We had a problem with our solar system not working so we called the original installer (we just purchased this house). He came and diagnosed bad inverters. He replaced the bad inverters with the new inverter. However, 10 days later the system quit. We called him and he came back to reset the new inverter. It lasted another 10 days and then it quit, again. We called him again, time after time but he never returned our call. Finally, we decided to get another Solar guy and so we looked on Google and found Paul's company. He came out right on time and he wore a mask and kept social distancing guidelines. He spent 5 hours researching what the problem was with the manufacturer and found out that the new inverter was not compatible with the older Solar Panels. This was surprising to us because the original solar guy that replaced the inverters should have known this. We were so impressed with his professionalism and honesty that we hired him to install New Solar Panels. His crew cleaned up the area beautifully. Our Solar System is running like a freight train now and it's all because of Paul and his awesome team. His services are very reasonable.
