I am not talking about the Feb 17th phone call. I did not have the part then. I called after I received the part. And after 10 total phone calls to you over two months is when you return my call so let's not pretend it didn't take you two months to return my calls anyways, I don't know why you got upset. I'm the one that should be upset that it took you so long to reply. How did I find someone to install the inverter for $200 if you were charging me no cost what are your actual costs?Although my system is 13 years old, you should stand by your product or your install regardless if it's 1310 or 12 years you just gave proof to others reading this review that if they go with you, you do not stand by your products or install after many years, that's unfortunate. I wish I would've known that I would've gone with someone else. I was never upset during our phone call or rude to you and I don't know why it would have escalated. I actually thought you were joking because I just couldn't believe instead of fixing the problem you got upset and hung up. That's very immature. Do better. I had still been referring friends and family when they ask who I go through but not anymore I will keep it local because it's too much trouble for you to come out in the first place just to make the money and then drop your customers as soon as there's a problem. I am a general construction contractor. We need things done by others at times too. I had Davids company put solar on my roof about 7 years ago. They did a clean fast and professional job. I have had 0 issues with the quality of the products and work performed. I now have need adjust my system to some degree. I have had a number of the solar parasites that crawl through our neighborhoods with their tablets skate boards and electric bicycles. Everyone of these companies gave me a recommendation and cost that is simply ridiculous. The practicality and logic of these systems just does not make sense. Additionally, the owner and director are absolutely devoid of ethics, often resorting to yelling, cursing and belittling the very people who pay their checks. Ultimately, we reported them to the California State Licensing Board and the Better Business Bureau. The CSLB found several violations. They are still under investigation, due to the fact that David tried to put a Mechanic's Lien on our house, even though he was over-paid for the work performed, by about $2000. So I noticed that my electric bill was sky high,($2800 for the year, normally $800) and I seem to not be getting any where near the solar production I am supposed to. I had another company come out, and so far they have discovered that I am supposed to have new Inverters on 13 of my panels, which I do not. It seems they were ordered by progressive energy solutions and shipped sept 6, 2018 to progressive. In talking with Dave from Progressive, he's not sure what happened with the RMA'd inverters and says enphase is not sure they shipped them now. He also said he was willing to help out and get the inverters ordered but that it appeared my system didn't need that many switched out. All in all, solar can be a headache, but Dave seems like he's willing to help. read more

I won't ever use them again. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. All I can say is, don't use them for anything other than solar. They subcontract everything outside of it, and you'd get cheaper prices if you subcontracted work yourself. I'm stuck with a patio that leaks and artificial turf that literally melted (twice). They reinstalled the turf, and it melted again after telling me that if I had my windows tinted, it wouldn't happen again. They assisted with payment on the window tinting because they didn't realize windows can melt the turf and didn't inform me of this either. They told me this was in the turf warranty (that I am yet to be provided). They stopped calling back when I informed them of the turf melting again, even subsequent to the windows of my home being tinted. I filed a complaint with HERO, and I was told by Don they wouldn't fix anything until I dropped the complaint. HERO eventually stepped in to ensure they fixed the problems the first time around. I didn't bother filing a second complaint when the turf melted the second time around because HERO wasn't much help. There is much more to this story, including them having the nerve of asking me to write them a favorable letter after all of our negative dealings with them. I see Dave likes to respond to bad reviews. He knows there is no disputing this review, and Yelp should know I'm not some terrible reviewer. Plus, this was all documented by HERO. I should have written this long ago because I see the same thing has happened to others since I had them do this work nearly two years ago. STAY AWAY! I am having trouble deciding what to write because there are so many bad things about this company. 1. Didn't pull permits for 2/3 of the work they were hired to do. Now they won't pull them, because they "know it wont pass inspection". 2. Bullied me into signing completion certificate, then basically ghosted me after with work left undone. 3. They broke things and claim it wasn't them. Their fixes broke other things. Their "final" fixes were not adequate. 4. Their communication skills are nearly nonexistent. They say they are coming and don't. They say they will call and don't. 5. They blame the city and their subcontractor for everything bad, or the original setup, or, or, or... 6. Their subcontractor was a joke, but instead of admitting that, and going after their sub for misquoting the job, they now tell me I need to pay more money to fix it. 7. When I go out of my way, both time-wise and monetarily to try to work with them, they still fail to perform. In short, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WIH THEM. If you are already in a contract with them, DO NOT SIGN THE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE until everything is done. The day you sign will be the last time you have any regular communication with anyone from the company. I am filing complaints with the CSLB and the BBB. I will be suing them. I have a signed contract and I paid a $1,000.00 deposit on October 15, 2021. As of today April 18, 2022, the work is not even started yet. I have made several calls leaving messages and talking to someone there twice, no refund, and no work. It has been over 6 months since I signed the contract and paid them. This guy name Devon Lee who came to our house and totally explained everything to us, he also made sure that i was also listening in case my parents doesnt understand what he's trying to say, my parents really wanted solar so he provided a solution, my folks kept saying we couldnt afford it so he tried to give us a better solution by giving us the right offer that we could afford, he even gave us more power than we expected to be. so after, the good parts we were down to checking if we were approved by Hero (Home Energy Renovation Opportunity), we were disapproved first bec. my parents had bankruptcy 3 yrs. ago, it says it should be after 7 yrs. to be approved but he didnt give up, we were doing this for almost 3 hours now, he was already late for his next appointment but he wasnt rushing to leave, he made sure we will get this offer.. so he made another solution by checking our mortgage bills, since my parents paid their bills on time, there was no bad record or anything, he took a picture and sent it to hero.. and bam we were approved! i wont go into details bec. its too personal to talk about mortgage plans, but we were told to save $113 every month and pay everything off along with our yearly tax at the end of the year. so the process were held about 3 weeks, bec. the home association has to approved by it, but in the end, we were approved and the guys installed solar for 13 panels (i think) on our house. we've had solar for 2 months now with no problems. read more

A Man named Tom came out to our house about 4 week s ago from Progressive. We made the appointment with regards to getting a roof, insulation and gutters. He took 2 hours of our time to pitch us on Solar Panels. We kept on asking him about the roof and insulation. He kept on pushing off the subject and said he would have his roof guy come out and give us an estimate. Wasn't that's what he was supposed to do???? I called Tyler and he showed up with a mask and My wife and I Instantly knew he had respect for his clients. Tyler and the person that came with him were patient answered all of our questions, and when he did not know the answer he got the answer from another professional. Progressive energy solutions also installs solar panels, well we already had solar panels up and they knew exactly how to take them off and put them back up and they did a good job. The crews were always polite and nice. Progressive energy solutions were fair in their pricing and they found out things that were wrong with our roof and did not charge us for correcting it. This company also does not nickle and dime you throughout the process......they asked for much less than 10 percent to start and they did not ask for the rest until the roof was complete. My wife and I received two bids to purchase solar panels for our Yucaipa home here in Chapman Heights in November 2014, one from Progressive Energy Solutions and a second from another local solar installer. Progressive was slightly higher at bid time, but as promised by their salesman Tim they met the lower bid price and offered us a much lower interest rate for financing - bringing our monthly payment for panels to $143 per month. This rate will never vary for the length of the loan, unlike our Edison bill which was "varying" upwards of $400 per month ! Progressive pulled all of the permits, and secured approval from our HOA quickly. From the time we contracted with them to the day that Edison performed the transfer of power this contractor moved things along very efficiently, with the help of a few follow up phone calls on my part. The actual panel install took just 1 day, with one follow visit to paint the electrical conduit to perfectly match the color of our stucco. Our monthly Edison payment is now about a buck, but I notice that our panels are OVER producing and we will be owed a refund or credit from Edison at the end of the year. We have referred our fiends and neighbors to Progressive and recommend them whole heartedly. One of my coworkers who hired a large home security company to install his panels in July of 2014 is still unable to pass inspection since they were poorly installed. My sales and my HERO contract both say that I was to get a cool-air roof that is re-sheathed with CDX plywood. It was a lift and re-lay, with all broken tile replaced, that would be mold, fungus, and rot free. As a suggestion in order to form greater roof strength and improve thermal efficiency, I agreed to keep the good OSB as an underlayment. All water damaged moldy, fungus damaged, OSB would be replaced. The CDX plywood roof sheathing would be an overlay. Not all water damaged OSB was replaced as was said they would do, however. As left, the final product was not a cool air roof. It was a conventional roof with a plugged solar fan. The vents that were sized for a +1500 square foot attic area were changed to newer smaller vents that were sized for +600 square foot attic area. Later visits after the roof completion notice was issued corrected the exhaust vents needed. My son then went to work, using the results from internet searches, correcting and balancing the intake vents. He worked for over 3 weeks, putting in 2 thermostat-controlled dormer fans, 1 powered from the house power and 1 solar powered, putting in all needed intake vents. His result was amazing. The attic area starts at night time ambient temperature rising slowly to daytime ambient temperature at about 1400 hours. Then it holds that temperature until the solar fans kick out. It rises about 5 degrees above ambient running on the dormer fan which cools it down through the night. The roof sheathing overlay, CD grade plywood rated exposure 1 started at (MOD 24) 16 mm roof sheathing, my roof is MOD 24 construction, was changed to thinner cheaper (MOD 16) 11 mm. That was changed again to an unknown mix of the cheapest 7-8 mm interior grade plywood Home Depot sells in the final roof product. Veneer grade DD or less with core voids unlike roof sheathing. Too late to change it once I caught this change. There were multiple quality control issues that required 6 return visits to get the final 4-star result. Progressive Energy Solutions will, and did, bend over backwards to achieve customer satisfaction. They are a go-to company that is very capable of 5-star workmanship, so long as you have a well detailed contract that includes rigorous quality control from start to finish. My roof project started April 3 2019. The 4-star result was polished and finished July 30 2019 by the CEO himself. read more

A month ago I met with Dave from Progressive Energy to talk about getting solar. This is the third solar company to pitch solar to us and in general I wasn't to impressed. The first two companies were very nice but I just got that rushed, pushed feeling. All three companies were comparably priced but Dave was very thorough. I next felt pushed to sign a contract and was overall impressed with his appearance and demeanor. After we signed a contract with Dave and Progressive all I could think about was Oh god, here we go with the contractors and the hurry up and wait. This unfortunately has been my experience dealing with different contractors over the past few home improvement projects. Well to my surprise, not only did the installers show up on time but Dave was the first to greet me and my husband before the installation. Dave introduced me to his team and then they went to work. My expectations was that this project was going to take a week or two even though Dave assured me the installation may take a few days from start to finish. Two days later, I'm happy to say that my solar system was completed and Dave showed me how to work the monitoring. I have read a few of the reviews about Progressive and let me say, I'm sorry a few others didn't have the same experience as we did.
