We choose to avoid all hotels during COVID and needed a pet friendly accommodation. Melinda informed me only the lower units were available for small pets, we took the San Nicolas. Even though I would've preferred an ocean view deck, the truth is the ocean is only one block away. The modest interior decor, fully equipped kitchen, patio views and spacious rooms created just the right vacation/residential experience we had hoped for. I imagine the fact that the Villa Elegante only caters to weekly and monthly contributes greatly to the good condition of the furnishings. The overall cleanliness more than met our expectations. It's a little strange to me more reviews aren't posted for this company since we found all aspects of our experience were very positive. Maybe the Canadians are not big Yelpers? The location was just a block from the beach and close to a few necessities and even lovely restaurants. The place we rented was the "Santa Rosa" and it was spacious, so clean, great accommodations. Everything was well updated and kept up. We loved the 2 car private garage. Helped with moving my daughter out of her apartment! The accomodations there were absolutely gorgeous. I actually can't wait for a reason to go back again soon. DETAILS... This was the perfect place a get-away weekend with my husband. The garden and suites are all beautifully arranged on the property, the garden had a beautiful layout, the pool and jacuzzi were amazing (seriously amazing), and our dog had just as much fun as we did. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The suite was clean, the TV had an HDMI cable that we were able to hook our computer up to to watch Netflix, the bed was very comfy and clean, and bathroom was very clean, and the overall space was exactly what we were looking for. There are enough parking spots for all of the guests, and all of the guests were very low-key and pleasant to be around. Although all of the suites were rented out we actually barely ran into everyone and it felt as if we had the entire area to ourselves. I think one of the biggest perks on top of all these amenities is that our dog was allowed to enjoy the place just as much as we were. We are looking forward to another reason to take a trip up to Santa Barbara/Montecito area so we can stay here again! I would definitely recommend this place.

I…read morecame with my now-husband and our twin toddlers to get married at the SB Courthouse and had the most unforgettable time with all our immediate family. We were able to host everyone at the rental afterward to celebrate, and we didn't have to worry about our kids being woken from their sleep, as each living space had doors we could close to keep it quieter. That was a really cool feature! We loved the location so much. It was so fun to be able to walk around downtown SB at any time. We can't wait to go back.

The location is perfect - just a short walk to the main street in downtown Santa Barbara and a short bike ride to the beach. There is also great public transportation that runs up and down that main downtown street from the beach to the townhouse all day long. Between the beach and the nearby mountains, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy all day long. The restaurants and wineries are excellent. The parking is typical of California, crowded streets and small garage. If you have a large vehicle, plan on parking in the street like we did. We were always able to find a spot close to the townhouse however. Highly recommend this townhouse for your stay in Santa Barbara!

**One star -- renters should be extremely cautious.**…read more Our experience with Sunny Days Vacation Rentals did not become a nightmare until after our Ventura vacation was over. When we arrived, we were able to open the garage using the exterior keypad. However, when we later tried operating the door from inside the garage, it would not work. We attempted to use the emergency-release cord, but the door still would not operate or reengage properly. We immediately reported the problem to both the property owner and the management company. They sent two different garage-door service companies to investigate, which should tell you this was not a simple or obvious issue. At no point were we told that we had damaged the garage door. We finished our vacation and left believing the matter was being handled. We were even initially told not to worry, that we would not be responsible for anything, and that the Airbnb claim was "just protocol." Then, after we left, the story changed. We were suddenly accused of causing "damage" and held responsible for a $1,330 repair bill. We still have not received a reasonable explanation of exactly what we supposedly did to cause the garage door to come off track. Using an emergency-release cord for its intended purpose after a garage door fails to operate is not the same as damaging it. The most disappointing part was the response from Colt at Sunny Days Vacation Rentals. Instead of offering to help clarify what happened or stand behind what we had initially been told, his position was essentially: Airbnb will decide, Sunny Days has nothing to do with it, and we were on our own. That response tells you everything you need to know about their customer service. They manage the property, communicate with the owner, send the repair companies and initiate the process--but when a guest is unexpectedly blamed for a four-figure repair, they suddenly claim they have nothing to do with it. We reported the problem promptly, cooperated fully and left without being informed that we had caused any damage. Being reassured that we would not be responsible and then abandoned once a claim was filed felt dishonest and deeply unfair. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Sunny Days Vacation Rentals. Take extensive videos of every door, appliance and mechanical system immediately upon arrival, because if something fails during your stay, you may find yourself blamed for it after you leave--and told that you are on your own.

I'll spare…read moreyou the details but like many many many others have said across any review site you look at, they will try and steal your deposit. I've rented many homes in my life - both long and short term - never have I ever not got my security deposit back (or at least the vast majority of it). Miraculously, at the end of my stay, they found a way to charge me almost exactly the amount of my security deposit through extra bogus charges. I'm opening up claims against them and hoping they can't pray on more people.
