It's a very large old home turned into a bed and breakfast. There are lots of common rooms, nooks & crannies to get comfortable in, a nice porch and patio. So comfortable. There is always coffee, tea and water. At 4pm they put out homemade cakes, brownies and cookies. I devoured a slice of coconut and lemon cream cake with a large coffee. At 5:30pm they put out wine. We enjoyed two glasses sitting on the patio. We chose the Abigail room on the second floor. I think it's the only room with a king size bed. The room was very cozy. The bathroom was tiny, but I respect the challenge of fitting a bathroom to each guest room, when the house obviously wasn't built with that in mind. The bed itself was very comfortable. Breakfast was healthy and tasty. We had breakfast on the patio. 10 out of 10 experience at the Bath Street Inn for us. Thank you!

The weekend was very humid so it was very hot in our room even with the box fan and ceiling fan it was hard to sleep bc of the temperature in the room. I mentioned this during check-out and the front desk staff immediately became rude stating that the room doesn't have AC and if we wanted that we needed to request a room with AC specifically when we book the room via the website (which there is no option for that) We stay in SB a lot. Never had this kind of experience. Probably won't stay again because for the price of the room ($300+ fees a night) there should be air conditioning and polite staff.

The big thing we didn't like about the room was the bathroom door. It looked like an outdoor window shutter. The room was clean with nice deco with a few extra items that made this stay some what special, the bed was very comfortable and a mini bar in the room (not free) Mont wine $21.00 and Mason water $6.00 was on the table we did not partake, our room came without a micowave and fridge I had to order them, they were in the room when I got there, and last the heated pool and jacuzzi area have a beautiful landscaping about 5 to 6 table and chairs in a covered courtyard. Had to turn it on in short bursts because of how loud it was.) -Mini fridge gets drinks nice and cold (very rare these days) Pillows are VERY soft but hold their shape Cons: -Right next to the freeway. I wish I had listened to other reviews and stayed somewhere else. It was loud the entire time but the hotel did provide complimentary ear plugs. And there is a train that comes by that is even louder. -Paid for an Oceanfront View but in the pictures you'll see that from the patio, those hedges are too high for an unobstructed view of the ocean so try to get a balcony room for a better view. -No WIFI -Rooms could use a refresh. They are a bit dated. *I would probably give this hotel a rating closer to 3.5 but the husband and I were the only guests this day so it was nice of the staff to still put out the complimentary wine and snacks for us. Also the next morning the chef pretty much just made breakfast for us and it was tasty.
