It's a very large old home turned into a bed and breakfast. There are lots of common rooms, nooks & crannies to get comfortable in, a nice porch and patio. So comfortable. There is always coffee, tea and water. At 4pm they put out homemade cakes, brownies and cookies. I devoured a slice of coconut and lemon cream cake with a large coffee. At 5:30pm they put out wine. We enjoyed two glasses sitting on the patio. We chose the Abigail room on the second floor. I think it's the only room with a king size bed. The room was very cozy. The bathroom was tiny, but I respect the challenge of fitting a bathroom to each guest room, when the house obviously wasn't built with that in mind. The bed itself was very comfortable. Breakfast was healthy and tasty. We had breakfast on the patio. 10 out of 10 experience at the Bath Street Inn for us. Thank you!

Have stayed at multiple locations in Santa Barbara area and this one is my favorite. Book early as it tends to fill up before others.

Nice little hotel near the beach. My issue is the amenities. The website states the rooms have AC, mini fridge etc however our room had no AC just a ceiling fan and box fan? The weekend was very humid so it was very hot in our room even with the box fan and ceiling fan it was hard to sleep bc of the temperature in the room. I mentioned this during check-out and the front desk staff immediately became rude stating that the room doesn't have AC and if we wanted that we needed to request a room with AC specifically when we book the room via the website (which there is no option for that) We stay in SB a lot. Never had this kind of experience. Probably won't stay again because for the price of the room ($300+ fees a night) there should be air conditioning and polite staff.

The room was small but cozy and complementary breakfast was brought to the room every morning. We even had a private hot tub on our front patio which was pretty cool! The big thing we didn't like about the room was the bathroom door. It looked like an outdoor window shutter. The room was clean with nice deco with a few extra items that made this stay some what special, the bed was very comfortable and a mini bar in the room (not free) Mont wine $21.00 and Mason water $6.00 was on the table we did not partake, our room came without a micowave and fridge I had to order them, they were in the room when I got there, and last the heated pool and jacuzzi area have a beautiful landscaping about 5 to 6 table and chairs in a covered courtyard. I wish I had listened to other reviews and stayed somewhere else. It was loud the entire time but the hotel did provide complimentary ear plugs. And there is a train that comes by that is even louder. -Paid for an Oceanfront View but in the pictures you'll see that from the patio, those hedges are too high for an unobstructed view of the ocean so try to get a balcony room for a better view. -No WIFI -Rooms could use a refresh. They are a bit dated. *I would probably give this hotel a rating closer to 3.5 but the husband and I were the only guests this day so it was nice of the staff to still put out the complimentary wine and snacks for us. Also the next morning the chef pretty much just made breakfast for us and it was tasty.

But, then they had some issues charging for the second night and without notifying me canceled the entire reservation, and Beach House Inn held onto $446 that I had paid to booking.com as per their cancellation policy. I only learnt that my reservation was canceled after reaching the hotel with my two kids. I faced extreme difficulty with my two kids as everything was full on the Labor Day weekend including Beach House Inn. I requested both Beach House Inn and Booking.com to at least release what I have paid for. But no, Beach House Inn refused to do that saying booking.com is responsible and booking.com refused to do that saying Beach House Inn need to release the fund. I requested Beach House Inn several times. They did not incur any loss-they were totally full, but they declined. This is what the management looks like. Go there with your own risk knowing for sure there will be no one to help if there is any issues.

They had two blow driers in the bathroom, one of which was broken. A broken soap dispenser in the shower, and the deadbolt of the door was also broken. They didn't even provide a plastic cup to get a drink of water. What an incredibly low-end cost cutting measure! Loaner bicycles are available, but five out of six had flat tires. Their online presence is very deceiving. I would not recommend the place.

I called a couple of days before and they said they'd try. We had many bad experiences at various hotel due to noise, so we were concerned, especially that they close the front desk at 10 pm. Which made us nervous, not good! I don't know why they can't have anyone overnight! Upon check in, the lady working was distracted by her kid in the next room (who was watching cartoons) and didn't remember my request. She gave me a room on the ground floor, I asked to switch! And I got one upstairs! The room was clean which is a plus, big. Same with the bathroom. Plenty of room to put your things. Had a Queen bed, smaller than ours at home. But comfy with various types of pilows. A major minus - no coffee maker! That is too cheap! I knew about it, but still...Upon request, you can get an electric tea kettle from main desk. No microwave either! Just a fridge (placed in the bathroom) and a hair dryer. No clock or phone in the room! A jug of water in main area would be nice, especially that stores around close early! The soap dispenser in the shower had no soap! Need to bring the one from the sink or your own! Otherwise, the shower is easy to use, great water pressure! Staff woke us up, they started cleaning rooms too early, especially for a Sunday. How about after check out at 11 am? It's a small place. We couldn't get our TV to work. Had to unplug it, the screen froze at some point on the HDMI screen LOL. My husband called front desk, it was before 10 pm, but no one answered. When we checked out, the lady didn't apologize, she was a tad nonplussed by it. We didn't have time to watch much TV, but still. I wish main desk staff would be more caring. They are polite, but very detached and you feel too much on your own! You can grab a free bike. Not my thing. I liked their patio, it could be nice to relax with a beverage as an aperitif during a late summer afternoon. I'd say Presidio was decent. No major big drama. Safe area which is a plus! Just an OK stay. Could be better based on the price they charge. And comparing with other hotels of this type. More frills and bells could make your stay better!
