Me and my boyfriend decided to do a mid week stay in Santa Barbara. I was very happy to stumble upon the Craft House Inn during a hotel search. This was one of the best stays I've had. Parking is right inside so no need to worry about street parking. It's a cozy house that's walking distance to local shops and cafes. It's definitely away from the main hotels near the waterfront. You get a nice neighborhood vibe. We stayed in the Granada room. It has a king bed with a fireplace. Even though it was during summer I had to see this fireplace going in the evening. The bedding is parachute linens and no down pillows except for the decor ones in case of allergies. Once we got settled in we had some coffee in the kitchen. We enjoyed the gorgeous designs and decor. Keep in mind to read the house rules if you go out, do be courteous to the other patrons staying, there are quiet hours. In the morning, I enjoyed the sun in the back patio and just soaked in all its beauty. I wish we stayed longer because it's truly wonderful. This will be in my retreat folder for our next Santa Barbara visit.

This was my first experience at a bed and breakfast, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was genuinely blown away. The service, cleanliness, hospitality, and overall attention to detail exceeded every expectation. The rooms were charming, comfortable, and uniquely decorated, while the property itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained. The staff was incredibly friendly, responsive, and always easy to reach by phone or text. The breakfast deserves special recognition. Every meal was homemade, absolutely delicious, and honestly worthy of an award. It was one of the highlights of our stay. The inn also features a gorgeous garden and outdoor space that creates a peaceful, secluded atmosphere while still being conveniently located. State Street's shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and the beach is just a short drive away. As someone who typically prefers staying in upscale hotels, I was initially skeptical, but my girlfriend chose the Cheshire Cat Inn and I'm so glad she did. It offered a much more personal, intimate, and memorable experience than a traditional hotel. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Santa Barbara!

They have a beautiful garden outback to enjoy your Breakfast in the morning. They offer coffee, tea and water throughout the day. The breakfast in the morning included freash fruit with granola and drizzled honey. It was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to provide a beautiful experience. The house is located walking distance from downtown Santa Barbara. The room we were in was a little outdated and could use a little deep cleaning and maintenance on some fixtures. Overall it was a great place.

Summerland Room #5…read more Pro: -ample parking -Room size is decent compared to other hotels. It as fireplace and an AC system window unit. (It is pretty loud though. Had to turn it on in short bursts because of how loud it was.) -Mini fridge gets drinks nice and cold (very rare these days) Pillows are VERY soft but hold their shape Cons: -Right next to the freeway. I wish I had listened to other reviews and stayed somewhere else. It was loud the entire time but the hotel did provide complimentary ear plugs. And there is a train that comes by that is even louder. -Paid for an Oceanfront View but in the pictures you'll see that from the patio, those hedges are too high for an unobstructed view of the ocean so try to get a balcony room for a better view. -No WIFI -Rooms could use a refresh. They are a bit dated. *I would probably give this hotel a rating closer to 3.5 but the husband and I were the only guests this day so it was nice of the staff to still put out the complimentary wine and snacks for us. Also the next morning the chef pretty much just made breakfast for us and it was tasty.

They also have nice extras like complementary breakfast, afternoon happy hour (wine and cheese and crackers) and later dessert, as long as you book directly on their website. Walking distance to all the cute boutiques Cafés and shops in Summerland. It is very close to the freeway, and you hear the freeway noise throughout, but they have a white sound machine playing in the room, which was actually very thoughtful. They have a nice Jacuzzi too. Totally recommend and will return!
