BEWARE. Jeff damaged our pool cover(on video) and lied about it initially. When confronted with video footage he switched gears, apologized, and took responsibility. He said he would see about submitting an insurance claim to cover the cost. A few days later, we told him how much we were quoted for repairs or replacement(an exhorbitent 5-7K). He then said his insurance had lapsed the month the incident happened and that he would just have to clean our pool "for free" for the next 5-10 years. I told him I was going to try to find someone else just to repair instead of replace, hoping that would be significantly cheaper. A few days later, he messaged me with a completely different stance after "talking to some contractor buddies" who had advised him that he did not need to carry insurance for "his type of business" nor should he claim any responsibility for what had happened because my cover had some wear and it would have "happened eventually' therefore it was not his fault. I reminded him that he was on video(with sound) repeatedly opening and closing the cover after it got jammed in the track until it ripped on both sides and that I didn't see how he could not take responsibility for that. I told him he had to figure out something because there's no way that would have happened had he just left it alone the second it got stuck. He then came up with the idea that he would call a new insurance company and try to submit the claim a few weeks after the insurance was established. I had gotten additional quotes just for repairs and sent them over(4-5k). Without notice, he blocked my phone number and blocked me on Venmo(for some odd reason). A week later I saw him up the street from my house at a neighbors and asked him if that's "how he conducts business?" His reply? "You're going to have to sue me!" Which is now the only option we have left.
If you are currently using his service, be aware that he is not insured and in the event any damage occurs to your property, you will have no recourse other than suing him. He will most likely block you and carry on with his life as if nothing happened. read more
