Units are good, stayed many times. However they have inacted 'dynamic' pricing. My November booking for january dates was almost 175% HIGHER per night than this weeks cost for same unit! And the construction noise is STILL very much a problem. Pricing should be lower due to this alone. read more

We love the Sea Gull so much. Our family has been traveling there for years and given its proximity to the beach and it's beautiful views, We continue to come back time and time again. In our opinion, It's located at the perfect spot on the island that still close to downtown Port A but far enough away that the it's beach is never over crowded. We typically stay in unit 910 as it's nice and high up, has wonderful decor, and great balcony views on both sides for Sunrises, Sunsets, and even Moonrises. Highly Recommended!! read more

I went with 8 other friends, and we stayed in room 605. The space is so well laid out. The living area is enormous, with a HUGE table that easily fit all 9 of us for meals and board games. Then there are separate areas we could disperse to, a couch, a set of 3 couches, a smaller table, and another couch area with 2 couches and a TV. We never felt crowded, except in the kitchen, which has only one entrance. The condo unit is on a bend, so the balcony and windows take up 180 degrees. However, one 90 degree area of that balcony is only about 12 inches wide, so it's really stretching it to call it a balcony. The balcony area we did use was beautiful and sufficient for our group, though. This condo is closer to the beach than I've ever been. I loved that when you looked out the windows, your view is all beach. The beach access is through the first floor and is a very short walk that has a ramp to make it easy to bring coolers or wagons full of stuff. The place was clean and well kept. The bedrooms were nice, and we slept 2 per room, with the 9th person sleeping on a blowup bed in a little side living space off the kitchen. The staff was polite and welcoming. The swimming pool was heated to a cool but tolerable temperature, which was welcome because the ocean was FREEZING COLD. The hot tub was off to the side, so it felt isolated. And it is amazing, with a waterfall and plenty of room. The swimming pool area also has a nice big playground that would be great for kids. I highly recommend this place for a group of friends or family. We debated whether to give this condo 4 or 5 stars but decided on 5, because it was just perfect for our needs. read more

I have stayed here many times over the past few years and was very impressed and satisfied for my stays. However this time I was very disappointed and not satisfied about my stay here. My unit 602L was not ready at check-in time. The front desk couldn't even give me an ETA on when it will be ready. So it took another 30 minutes after checkin time for my room to be ready. Once I was able to get the keys to enter my unit the room seemed ok. However it was a bit dirty. The floor was sandy when I was bare foot on it. There was dirtiness along the kitchen floor under the cabinets under the refrigerator, also there was dirtiness along the back of the rocker recliners sofa. It appeared that this unit was never swept or mopped. I hate to have to leave this kind of review because I really like staying here, but I'm only being honest about the whole situation. read more

We were pleasantly surprised when we got to our condo rental. The space was clean and spacious room 502 was a one bedroom one bathroom condo. It had a nice size kitchen, a designated area for eating with 4 chairs, living room with two sofas and upholstered chair, outside balcony area with four chairs. The condo was spacious and very clean, the balcony is facing the Gulf of Mexico and there is always a breeze coming in from the ocean. There is also a 3-8 ft pool and a hot tub on the premises. Currently there are upgrades going on (May '24), work didn't really bother us. Working hours were from 9-5 during weekdays. It was a really nice stay and would recommend staying here. read more

Not the greatest...... living furniture wasn't that comfortable, stove looks like it needs to be replaced couch. Looks like it needs to be replaced pretty worn refrigerator. Had a broken shelf and freezer. Space was dirty... Little pieces of cement on the back porch from the construction couldn't find a broom... Front desk said they had one, but I need to come get it... We just traveled eight hours to get there it was okay... not the nicest we've stayed at that area. read more

We have been coming to this condo for 10+ years. We have seen the conditions go down, but it's still always been nice. This year is a disaster. They used to set up a canopy and chairs for you free of charge. Now they ant to charge $50 per day. Beach access is blocked because the boardwalk is broken. They want us to load our cars and drive next door to use their access. That's a hassle and defeats the purpose of our expensive condo for easy beach access. The hot tub is closed and the pool is in disrepair! This is an expensive vacation and just about all of the reasons we choose the sea gull are not accessible! And they didn't even warn us before we arrived! read more

Never setting foot on this property again. There is major reconstruction ongoing here. Not a little painting or landscaping. Jackhammers in the units above. No warning before arrival. They should not have been taking in guests at all. Period. But staff told us it was on us because they had sent an email mentioning some minor upgrades, nothing about jackhammers next door. We were told no refund was going to be given. They had our money, tough luck. Totally dishonest management here. Stay away. read more

I've stayed at Sea Gull twice while visiting Port Aransas - the first time being 5 years back and most recently during the COVID pandemic. In general, the condos are very nice. You can search through different units and pick the best one suited for you. A couple of weeks ago, I booked a unit for 3 nights on the 9th floor. The condo itself was tastefully decorated and the view was perfect! Coming to Port A, staying oceanfront is half the fun and you definitely have to pay for the privilege. My gripe is when we checked in, I noticed a bit of water in the bathroom. Service came up and found a leak from the bathroom sink and said he fixed it. Going out to dinner and coming back, the bathroom floor was again covered in puddles. We call back down and were told that they can't fix the sink until we check out. I'm pretty easy going, but when you're paying $425++ a night, some sort of discount or gesture would have been appreciated. The room smelled musty when we checked in and checking under the sink, it looks like the leak had been there for a minute and there was water damage. No complaints about the condo itself, the view is great and the employees do a great job, including setting up beach chairs and tents daily. It gets the A-OK rating because you are paying 4-5 star prices, but not a 4 star experience. read more

We gave this condo two chances and we're not happy either visit. I understand with COVID housekeeping looks different but ZERO housekeeping is too much for a pricey condo. We had to beg for trash bags and ONE dishwasher soap at the front desk. NO emptying trash, no fresh towels and we stayed SIX DAYS! Very few restaurants open so we were eating in. Not fun. Our family took our annual summer vacation and instead of going up north to our lake house, we decided to go to the beach once again. After deliberating on Staying at Port Royal for a third summer, we decided to give another condo a try. We chose the Sea Gull. I called the direct line to the condos and spoke to Kelly whom was pleasant on the phone. I put a deposit down , and was advised that the next payment would be in a month. In which I paid the entire $ 2900 ,She informed me that the blue tents out on the beach were first come first served and were $55 per day. On our arrival, I was surprised how close we were to Port Royal where we stayed prior. We had our elderly parents and our kids with us so the walk from the parking lot to the entrance was not suitable for them. Our check in was ok but could have been better customer service as in " Welcome to Sea Gull condominiums", We got 3 key cards and went up the elevator with the luggage trolly. We stayed in room (1001). As we entered the condo it was breathtaking to see the view of the ocean from a higher balcony. The condo itself was nice, but two of the dining chairs were downstairs in the maintenance room due to the person before us broke them. Each room had a view of something!!!! We would have given this condos a five star, however with elderly parents and kids, we were NOT allowed to use the owners pantry where the washer and dryer were stored. The chairs on the balcony were way too low for them. Then we we're required to take out our own trash, and walk down the corridor to drop any of our dirty linens. The pool was nice. And labeled well for individuals who can't swim to basically stay in the 3ft end. This condo will be given a 3 star rate.The hot tub was tucked away on the right side of the building. The boys loved the basketball goals. When we did go down to the beach, I asked the gentleman with the blue "beach crew" shirt on how much were the tents, and he said there isn't a charge, it's first come first served. At that moment I was NOT happy with Kelly, she lied to me and told me they were $55 per day !!!! Again, not good customer service!!!!! We cleaned up our condo before we left, and I just wanted to thank the housekeepers , they made sure we had replacement towels, dish liquid, and pods for the dishwasher. The front desk personnel helped us whenever we asked something. At first they didn't but I'm not sure if my mother n law said something, but they were nice to us after that. Will we stay here again, maybe, will we refer our friends and family? Maybe. But until the condo owners allow their guests to be able use the washer and dryer in the units. This condo will have to stay in the 3 star category. ***update: I spoke to the office Manager, Kat, and she and I spoke about my concerns and hopefully she will get them resolved so that we will definitely consider coming back. We had high expectations for our stay in 509. The pictures on the website looked amazing so we were really excited to have a much needed family vacation. The bathrooms had long black hair in the shower and sinks, there were food stains on the kitchen counters, there was so much dust on the air vents and the room just felt dirty and outdated. We planned to visit the pool on Saturday and come to find out it was closed. Once it was time to check out we were packing up and the elevator quit working so that really delayed us and the carts were all being used so we had to carry individual things down the stairs. The front office did give us a late checkout if 12 and $60 for the dirty room. It's so disappointing we used our last few days of time off for work to come stay in room 509. I would not book this room and will not recommend it to my peers. read more

Very bad experience in #907 2/23 - 2/25/2021 I have stayed at the Seagull Condominiums more than 5 times between 2004 - 2015, everything was very good, no complaints. This stay was not worthy of any praise. No hot water, no coffee, no lounge chairs on the beach (locked up). Management was antagonistic towards me when I asked about lack of hot water. Very disappointing considering you are expected to clean the entire place before leaving, but you pay a cleaning fee. The rate is outrageous compared to resorts in the Carribean and with all the stink on the beaches from dead fish everywhere, there is NO way I would ever return or recommend Seagull Condominiums. The Best Western on Avenue G is a much wiser choice, breakfast, hot water, coffee, friendly customer service. read more

I am extremely disappointed with Sea Gull Condominiums, and their lack of understanding and customer support. We booked our family vacation there for this summer because of their beautiful property. The day before our arrival date, we learned that there was a tropical storm approaching the island making it unsafe to travel. The weather channel was preparing the locals for extreme property damage and was advising to avoid the area due to safety. The City of Port Aransas also posted on their website advising of flooding and potential power outages. We fully understand and respect their cancellation policy, and we were not requesting a refund. We simply asked them to allow us to move our dates for when it was safe to travel. Their contract doesn't state anything about modifications to the reservation in full but simply modifications are not subject to a refund. When we spoke with Rafaela Gonzales asking her to provide us where in the contract it states we couldn't modify our reservation in full, she replied with that they would make no modifications or cancelations to our reservation. Our family was staying at a similar property down the road from them, and due to the circumstances their host allowed them to move their dates. Please be careful before doing business with the Sea Gull. They had no empathy for the situation, and they refused to work with us. There are plenty of other great properties to stay at besides the Sea Gull. read more

I absolutely love Port A. I have been doing my annual Mothers Day trek for the past 10 years. My family has stayed at several hotels and condos, but my new favorite is the Sea Gull condominiums. We had a great gulf view and a beautiful condo as well. This condo complex has a pool, great hot tub ( includes towel service). The walk to the beach is very short, in fact right out the back door. You need to bring your own beach towel to the beach. Resin beach chairs provided but you need to get there early or they are taken very quickly. BBQs are available in the pool area. There's a small gym for those of you not content to run on the beach. The staff is friendly from the front desk to the maintenance men and they are more willing to make sure you have a great stay. Looking forward to visiting again and staying at the Sea Gull. read more

Y'all unit 208 is AMAZING!!! The view, the service, the cleanliness I could go on and on. We stayed 3 nights and the beds were comfortable. Walk down to the beach with towels from your condo and if you get to beach early enough you can use the tents and chairs. Shout out to Glenn who works really hard with a smile on his face. We have gone to this place several times over the past few years the condos are fantastic but the facilities is really out of date and the staff can't get there stuff together. Don't expect this place to have your best interest when it comes to covid protection the staff can't even keep their mask on. There is one individual that runs the front desk that every time you have a question you are bothering her and she has to pull her mask down if she is wear it to answer you. Let's start with the beautiful view of the beach, including the picturesque like " painting" view of the sunset with calming sounds of the waves We also loved the way the condo was decorated with every detail in mind. The frig did not cool our food. Maintenance was rude and unprofessional. We had to put all of our food in igloo coolers and dump ice on top to keep food from spoiling. The master bedroom TV does not work. We were in unit #608. Bad unit and bad service. Never again. read more

Meters away from the beach! This place is awesome! It's a high rise condo building along the beach just outside of Port Aransas. We stayed in room 806. The room was very clean, had all the modern amenities you could ask for- microwave, fridge, cable, internet, multiple TVs, and air conditioning! The rooms were decorated with a cute ocean theme, with some local art thrown in. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with lots of seating, nice fixtures, and a great view of the ocean. They had chairs out on the balcony, and plenty of outlets to plug all your devices into. The appliances all sang little songs to let you know that the oven's done heating, or the dishwasher is ready! The location is right on the beach. There's a big pool, with a fun bridge going over it. They had plenty of amenities available to travelers, including a meeting room. They have showers available on the boardwalk down to the beach. They had a nice view of the gulf, and since it's outside of town, the beach isn't very busy, so you can have a wide swath of the beautiful beach to yourself. read more

Stayed twice - each for a week. First stay was in #1102 (2 bedroom) and the second was in #610 (3 Bedroom). Both rooms were excellent. Clean, well furnished, comfortable and peaceful. The lobby is dated and the weight room is drab, but why go to the beach to sit in a lobby or walk on a treadmill??? Walk on the beach!!! Convenient boardwalk to beach with shower heads to clean up before you head back to room. Toys available for kids to use, chairs and umbrellas for adults. Washer and dryers available in basement. Our family has reserved #610 again - we are excited. The private water front balcony for the master bedroom in the 3 bedroom units will spoil anyone quickly. I recommend the Sea Gull and both rooms we have stayed in. read more

I would've liked to write a review on my stay at the Seagull but instead I can only talk about my booking being canceled and handled very poorly by the office manager. I booked for two nights, by calling the office mind you, not through there wesite weeks in advance. Four days before my check in date, Seagull called me to inform me that since its Memorial day weekend that it's a minimum three night stay so I would have to pay for another night or cancel my reservation completely and because they waited days before memorial day to give me this ultimatum, all the hotels were booked up but the Best Western. I talked with the office manager and general manager of the Seagull explaining that the stay is for my seventh year anniversary and I couldn't stay for another night because of my work schedule, not to mention that they didn't tell me about the three night stay minimum weeks before when I booked it.The office manager was unsympathetic and rude, seemed bothered that a guest that paid the deposit and had already e-signed there rental contract weeks in advance was asking her to be a decent person because it was there fault for letting me book the room in the first place.The whole deal that they would call a reservation and tell them to pay for another night or cancel the entire stay because they forgot to tell me when I booked it, is insane. I was under the impression that when you pay and sign a rental agreement that your reservation is locked in but all the Seagull office cares about is greed and trying to squeeze another dollar out of people regardless of their plans.Do yourself a favor and stay at another place, I've stayed here years before it's not worth the price anyway. read more

The upgraded room was ok but that was all that was. The check in and out times are ridiculous. After I discovered my icechest was stolen out of my truck i asked the front desk for some extra time before checkout so I could go purchase a new one. I was straight up told that wasn't even a possibility. I didnt ask for hours either. Just 30 mins. I never felt like I had to deep clean a rental before checkout. I feel like I need a paycheck as we had to come get fresh towels, toilet paper, extra blankets, a high chair that was supposed to already be in the room. I understand housekeeping not coming in the room per COVID protocol but they could leave things by the front door. They came by to pick upbdirty towels. I guess its too much to ask to leave clean things. So after I got the condo ready for the next guest and got checked out, I was told that management would contact me by the end of the day about my stolen ice chest. Since that didn't happen I am left to assume that it was stolen by a staff member or contractor and management is trying to keep it quiet. We have been visiting Seagull for nearly 30 years and this trip has been by far the worst experience we have ever had. For what we pay per night at this place and the half ass service I will look for a new place to stay in Port Aransas. I just can't believe I spent almost $1600 on lodging for that kind of service. I could have made that money go much further at a cheap motel and gotten 10 times the service. read more

My family has stayed at Seagull Condos twice a year for several years. Unfortunately my husband and I went in late February and had a bad experience. The entire three days we were there a construction crew worked on or directly above our balcony. The scaffolding was there all the time. Their was constant noise (drilling, pounding etc). One day they worked directly on our balcony we that we were forced to stay in the bedroom for privacy. While I understand the need for maintenance I don't understand the greediness of renting a unit when the construction is in that location. The general manager rebuffed my complaint and told me to be sure and come again! She did not care that we were unable to enjoy our vacation. Well lucky for us Port Aransas has many more nice condos!! read more

DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS CHARGED FOR A NIGHT'S STAY, I FEEL IT IS CORRECT THAT I CAN REVIEW THE WAY I WAS TREATED BY THE MANAGEMENT. I had booked a stay at this condo. I broke my ankle and was hospitalized two days before my check-in date. The management was inflexible and charged me for the room, even though I had proof of injury and was unable to call before the check-in date to cancel the reservation. I understand that someone else could have rented the property, but this was truly a tragic and unforseen circumstance and I was on medication for these two days after the hospital stay. I just don't understand how a propoerty expects that patrons will ever again visit their property when they cannot make exceptions when documentation is available. read more
