Went here after reading 5 star reviews and very happy we found this place! Waitress was awesome! Very nice, explained menu options well, and made suggestions that turned out to be some of the best food my husband and I have had at a restaurant. We ordered few sushi rolls, and they were freaking delicious. Per our waitress's recommendation, ordered the Beef Tips, and I was in love with them! Definitely will return! Also, overheard the couple behind us saying how much they loved this restaurant and how the food is always excellent. Truth! read more

As a local, this is hands-down my favorite hole in the wall. We started with two cocktails and the beef tips appetizer. So tender and flavorful. For dinner, we had the Fire Roll and the Barefoot Roll, and both were absolutely delicious. The sushi was fresh, well-made, and packed with flavor. This is a great find that we stumbled across. We had a couple appetizers and a burger. The appetizer Crab Rangoon egg rolls are awesome and must try!! And the shrimp appetizer is awesome as well. My wife had a burger. The meat and toppings were great. Only suggestion she had was a warmed or softer bun. The burger still gets an 8/10. Service was okay. Nothing spectacular but nothing bad. Very happy with our visit. This place Deserves a 5 because everyone should try this place out. Prices aren't that bad. In fact, they are pretty good for the food they offer and area of Myrtle Beach. The Ambiance is semi loud but not obnoxiously loud. There's a little music in the background but it's subtle enough to drown out other tables conversations but not interrupt your own. Again! We should have read the reviews before choosing this spot. There were seven of us, and therefore, we arrived early for seating and to enjoy the happy hour pricing. The atmosphere is that of a basic bar (as advertised), complete with banquet chairs for dining. After reviewing the sushi menu, I was apprehensive but still willing to give it a try. The menu made it clear that the selection was targeted to those who do not want authentic sushi. While waiting for our food, you could watch the sushi being created through an opening about the si,e of a large window. One of the sushi preparers (definitely not a chef) was heavy set with dread locks. He was sweating profusely, and visibility dripping. While I could not see him actually perspiring onto the sushi, I could not imagine how he could have missed. What I could see was him constantly whiping his face, nose, and eyes with the same gloved hands that were being used for the sushi preparation. Let me be clear, when I stated whiping his nose, I meant in an upward stroke using the palm of his hand. Needless to say, I canceled my sushi order. Nearly an hour has now passed, and the waitress swung by to check in and asked if we were waiting on something. We jokingly stated our meals. Then we realized she was serious. She asked us to wait, and when she returned, she admitted that she did not place anyone's food order other than the sushi. Koodos to her instead of blaming the kitchen. We still tipped her well and thanked her for the otherwise good service. Bottom line, we will not be returning. read more

Does not look like much from the outside, but if you like sushi and a laidback atmosphere , this is the place for you! I saw on their menu that they have sushi and various Mexican options. They also have a good happy hour for little apps. We had the mash potato balls, jalapeño egg rolls, ying yang chicken, California roll, and crunch roll. All were delicious! I really enjoyed the egg rolls. Our service was solid too, had two people waiting on us by the door. You should try this place out! read more

Don't waste your money or time. A lot better place just a block away called Oscar's. The wife & I ordered two burgers. Both came with blood coming out of the top of them before we even touch them. I asked the waitress about it and her response was" it's written on the menu, burgers are cooked med-well. These was no where near that. Didn't offer to take them back to be cooked more. Acted like it was my fault. Two burgers were $38. Seems like to good reviews are from the local drunks that have permanent seating. Save your money and don't waste your time. The place is dirty, smells and the staff don't care if you as a customer are happy or not. Maybe a notification to the health department needs a notification that they are serving undercooked food. read more

We went here and the female server was extremely rude the worst we've ever seen. She forgot to add the six people's drinks for a half hour then i ordered a second drink and she took another hour to bring it.So I said never mind because I was done with my meal.She grabbed the drink and spilled it on me and said i'm not going to put up with this. Only because I changed my mind.I wanted my drink with my meal. She stamped around the restaurant and slam things on our table.So I mentioned it to the manager and he said that's our best server and there's nothing he can do about it. I was like you got to be kidding me.Well i'm just letting you know she should not be working with the public. So my friend wrote a review and the manager responded and said we were all just trying to get a free meal. We eat out all the time.And nobody wants a free meal.We just would like kind service and a little respect.And a manager that cares about losing business from a server that was so rude. We are continuing to warn others . It was the most unprofessional server and manager.We have ever seen and we eat out five times a week. The good. Sushi and wings are fantastic! My husband said the burger was also decent. The not so great. I ordered a house salad and it was the worst salad ever lol. It was literally shredded lettuce burger topping spread thin on a metal tray with tiny microscopic Diced tomatoes a couple onions maybe minimal shredded cheese, bacon and some cucumber. It maybe doesn't sound bad, but you'll have to trust me. I LOVE salad, and this wasn't it. To add to my displeasure, they give you plastic ware to eat with. I had an $80 tab, and I'm eating with plastic! Try eating a shredded lettuce salad with a plastic fork lol! We ordered the fried potato balls. Not worth the $9. They are definitely instant mash potato, and you only get 2. The bad. Our waitress took our drink order and said she'd be back in a few so we could look at the menu. She then stood talking at the hostess stand for 15 min. Then a big table came in and she delt with them leaving us sitting there for some time. A table that came in after us got their food before we even got to order. I also asked for our sushi and potato balls as an appetizer and she didn't bring the potato until our entrees came. This place is a hidden treasure, don't let the outside view fool you! Trying to pick just one entree off the menu was the worst part about this experience. I can speak to the deliciousness of the Thai Chili tacos Aloha taco, Chicken hibachi tacos and the crab cake roll! Others within our group spoke greatly the California roll, shrimp tempura roll and chicken Philly sub. Service was great! They were quick and efficient. Me and my boyfriend came after hearing rave reviews. I'm a bartender and he's a restaurant owner. I'm disappointed and so is he. Kitchen closed at 10 and the bartender's complaining when people order when they're open till 12 it says. Yeah, we won't be back. Disappointed is all we are. Better service and bartenders are all over the place... just not here. Beware!!!! read more

Based on social media posts regarding their sushi we had to stop in and try these beautiful rolls for ourselves. From the outside it looks like a local watering hole and based on who we saw coming and going while eating on the patio it definitely is a locals favorite. We had our 11 year old with us since we were vacationing. We asked to eat outside on the patio because she was with us. The weather was beautiful and warm for March so seemed like the normal thing to do anyway. The two bartenders were so friendly and made her feel very comfortable in a setting we don't typically take her. The rolls were amazing and the coconut margarita was a nice way to end the day.
