This place is awesome. Visited Lakeside, Mt and decided to rent a kayak with my DIL. Ivy was the sweetest. Got us all set up and helped my DIL carry it across the street to the water. The equipment was in great shape and super easy to rent. We called when our 4 hours were up and she came back and helped carry it back. Sweet sweet girl. Would highly recommend. Such a fun trip! This was a last minute trip added to our cross country trip since some other plans did not work out. I am not an experienced kayaker and I also have a double knee injury. I was a bit nervous that this trip might not be for me. When we got there we met our tour guides Shelby and Tyler. They were extremely knowledgeable about the lake and kayaking. I felt confident that I was with the right people. My other half and I used the tandem kayak. Tyler stayed right near us as we kayaked the lake to ensure I knew how to steer properly into the wakes and waves and not tip. He also offered to pull the kayak if we got tired, but we didn't need that. The island was great. I would recommend the 1-1.25 mile loop if you aren't athletic, that way you don't get too tired out for the kayak back. The only downside to our trip was the lunches that were provided were warm by time we got to them, so we didn't chance it, and didn't eat them. We weren't upset because we wanted to try a local restaurant when we were done anyway. Just a tip for anyone wanting to go- bring a bag with extra water, sunscreen, a towel,and hiking shoes. This was a fantastic way to spend our day. Our guides, Anna and Shelby are fun, knowledgeable, kind, patient, and bubbly. Both of women were very professional while also creating a fun atmosphere that allowed us to connect with the other amazing people that joined us on our adventure. Although we didn't see any animals we did have a blast hiking around the island getting to know the other people that were also in our group. This is a perfect way to spend the day, get some sun, get some exercise, and see a new part of Montana. The lunch was the perfect amount of fuel for our adventure. The guides made sure we had fun, where safe, and stayed hydrated. They are both such experienced knowledgeable guides not only about wild horse Island but also about Montana in general. We were at volunteer park when we found sea me paddle right across. Met BJ who made it easy to set things up for me and my kids. We were hoping to do the wild horse day trip but wind conditions were not the best and so decided on the two hour. It was a great choice as it enabled all of us with novice to basic skills to individually kayak. My 11 year old wanted to do her own kayaking as well and this was ideal. Niko was our guide and we set out along the Somer lake start point , and went along. Niko took us to a small place where the kids could swim safely and had fun jumping into the lake. The kids were thrilled to bits . Niko is a great guide and knows the area well. Hoping to do wild horse day trip next time , weather and wind speed permitting . But will use BJ and his team as we were well taken care of and felt confident in their hands . read more

I highly recommend doing the kayak tour to Wild Horse Island with Jolie and the team at See Me Paddle! The day ranked in my top 10 All-Time vacation days. 2-mile kayak with Jolie giving us a verbal history lesson of the area. The scenery was amazing! The water crystal clear and relatively calm. Light breeze. Sun beaming. Just a perfect Montana summer day! Once on the island, Jolie gave us some direction and we were off with packed (super-tasty) VEGAN and VEGETARIAN lunches, binoculars and plenty of water provided by See Me Paddle. We chose to hike the larger mountain (2-miles up 2 miles back) and along the way we saw wild horses, some Big Horn Sheep and Mule Deer. Straight outta National Geographic. The view from the top was spectacular especially watching the Big Horn Sheep come down the mountain trail. Full confession: I really needed a larger lens for my camera, but oh well. Check out some of the shots below. After a 2 mile hike back down the trail, we earned a dip into a crisp, refreshing Flathead Lake. Jolie gave us a few extra moments to soak it all in. Back in the kayaks and off we went for a 2-mile paddle back to shore. Just perfect! read more

We rented a tandem kayak, and it was in great condition, as were the paddles and life vests. The staff was friendly and efficient. They didn't even penalize us on time for getting a little lost trying to find it! The only reason for a "good" rating is that you should make sure you're very fit and able to carry the kayak/paddleboard across Hwy. 93, through the park, and down to the water. Perhaps the owners can invest in a cart or an extra hand to carry them? read more

What a charming experience! I did a kayak trip with Sea Me Paddle while visiting Glacier country from Texas and would give them ten stars if I could! The day that we went out, the water was pretty rough and picked up quickly, causing the guides (and co-owners) to shift gears and even without being able to go out very far they made sure that my group had a great time. We took a nice leisurely paddle close to shore and got to see tons of Bald Eagles, learn about the history of the area and take in the views. I can only imagine how epic of an experience it would have been if the weather would have held out. A+ would highly recommend and can't wait to take another tour with them when I return to Glacier! read more

Awesome!!! My first kayaking experience, and it happened on Flathead Lake under the care and guidance of BJ and Joli. Talk about wonderful folks and tour guides! Because of the frigid overnight temps, BJ had to scout out a place where the ice was not solid to safely launch my fellow adventurers and me. Meanwhile, Joli picked up we three kayakers at the Whitefish Mt. Resort. Giving BJ time to locate a spot, she drove us by buffalo and elk farms! Upon arriving at the office, we were given waterproof clothing, shoes, gloves (mittens are not the best at holding a paddle), and safety vests. We then discussed safety rules. Once at the launch site, we each were helped into our kayaks [one of us needed way more help than the other two :/ ]. We were given time to find our "center" before BJ gently let go of each kayak, and we drifted from the shore. Joli instructed us on paddle use as beautiful scenery slowly surrounded us. We heard interesting stories about the old steam ships as we crisscrossed through the remaining pier supports; saw swans, geese, coots, and mature eagles; and listened to fun tidbits about the folks our guides have taken on the water. Just as BJ was telling us about how quickly the winds can change, they did! The fairly calm waters began to churn, waves rose, so we turned our noses to shore. It got a bit scary at times, but Joli kept me calm as BJ did so the guys. When we returned to shore, we kayakers were helped out of our little boats [some of us more than others :/ ] and driven back to the office. Once back to our day clothes, Joli drove us back to our lodge. The weather was sunny and bright, the experience was incredible, BJ and Jolie were wonderful. I would go anywhere with them -- that's how knowledgeable they were and how safe I felt in their care. What a great company to rent from! We rented SUPs for a week and used them every day on Whitefish Lake. On our last day, we would have had difficulty getting the boards up 3 flights of stairs so our representative suggested paddling down to the public park where she could drive directly to the shore. I had wanted to bring visit Wild Horse Island as soon as I started my research on a trip to this stunning lake in Montana (Flathead Lake). At first I thought Kayaking across from the mainland might have been too far, so I was super happy to find "Sea Me Paddle", and find out that NO... It's not that far and even better we will show you the way and provide a safe Kayak and lunch !! The weather was perfect, the company excellent and clean and our FAB guide Nicko was charming, helpful and full of great local information... Herself having grown up in the area. Once on the island the trails are well marked and we even chatted with the island forest officer. We saw all the wildlife this untouched island had to offer. Bucks, Deer, Big Horn Sheep and of course the Wild Horses. All in all a throughly enjoyable day. Highly recommend and when I am back I will be doing it again. Very accommodating bunch-I had mistakenly booked the wrong date and they quickly shifted me to the right date. Our kayaks were ready and waiting for us upon our arrival. The only negative comment is that you have to haul the kayaks across the street and through a park to access the lake. The girls working helped but it would be much easier if they had wheels to ease the transport. read more

We rented two tandem kayaks from the Lakeside Main office location which was across the street from the lake and I was unaware we would have to carry both kayaks across the street. Thankfully the girl working (and I didn't get her name, but she was great!) helped us carry them across, but it was still undesirable. I would suggest making this bit of information more clear on the website or booking information. Since then we have seen other places with mini trailers for the kayaks so you are simply pulling it inside of lifting the full weight. We had a great time kayaking and the price was decent but once we were done and exhausted we then had to haul the tandems back across the street. I would not recommend this location or set up, especially if you are traveling with children, which we were. read more

Highly recommend! We rented two kayaks from West Shore State Park today. The women at the rental desk were lovely and the rates were extremely reasonable. My stepson and I paddled our to Goose Island and spent the afternoon swimming and boating around the island and it was perfect. Definitely a highlight of our trip! read more
