Upon arrival Joyce at the front desk was extremely friendly and informative about the good eats and things to do in the area (which all pretty much happen to be in mashpee commons around the corner) otherwise anything else to do can be quite a drive away. After this she directed us to the Capital Vacations representative who was really trying to get us to attend a timeshare meeting, when we politely declined she offered us more money to attend and started asking us a lot of questions and was very hesitant to take no as an answer. We stood our ground as that's just not something we are interested in doing. Upon arriving to the building we were staying in there was a pile of trash outside the door that remained for the rest of our stay. The smell of the hallways and the units were a bit off putting, and you can tell by certain quirks that the units aren't deeply cleaned. Such as residues in the sinks and walls and finding food behind the tv stand. The units are certainly dated, but they are a decent size for the price, two full size bathrooms, a living/dining area, a bedroom (with a really comfy bed) , a patio and a kitchen with pretty much everything you need (we asked the front desk for a baking sheet and they had one that we could use). The customer service was great through our entire stay, and what really made this review a 3 star instead of 2. This place really needs some updates if they want to keep charging the prices they do. To be fair we came in the winter so we weren't able to utilize all the other amenities such as the mini golf, but I'm not sure that would make a difference for me. read more

These people belittle and insult owners of other properties in an effort to sign over their ownership in exchange for points for their scam system. This place is a dump!! No AC, fridge not cold, no hot water!! Do not come here! The front desk doesn't care about anything but your money!! Very unhelpful! We had no AC and it was 85 degree!! They couldn't fix it so the brought us two fans for 85 degrees!! I told them I wanted a discount because nothing was working! I eventually stopped payment on my card. No AC, no payment. Tear this place down and start over. What a complete Sh&@ Show! My living room rug looked like it had blood stains on carpet, stained and torn couch, bathroom ceiling and walls water damaged from leaks, holes in walls, the kitchen faucet handle fell off in my hand. Indoor pool is filthy; big stains, gross and dirty patio by stairs. The ceiling is rusty and looks like mold. Apparently the time share owners must be behind in their HOA Payments and they can't do repairs-like 20 years behind. I have never stayed in such a dump. We checked out early as we couldn't spend another night in this hell hole. Staff took notes and fixed faucet handle but other wise didn't give a Sh$@ about us and know what a dump this place is. read more

So I'll start by saying that we were guests here as somebody who has a timeshare. ( we rented it for a week from them ) This place is seriously in need of some updating in all the main buildings. They look like a flashback to the late 70s early 80s, and definitely not in a good way. Everything is peeling, the ceiling and walls in the area where the pool, hot tub and sauna are definitely times of years gone by. The pool needed to be cleaned. The bottom you could see what looks to be sand. I'm sure it wasn't sand. The water was clear though, so that was a plus. The hot tub? Had huge bubbles like soap in it when we got there. We were told it was because of the detergent from peoples suits. I don't buy that. I had a pool. It definitely needed to be cleaned out. In the corners of the hot tub where the bubbles work? Brown silt. Again, needing to be cleaned. We stayed in a two bedroom condo. I think ours might've been one of the ones that was more updated than most. The beds were comfortable. I had heard they just got new mattresses so that was a plus. We both slept well. However, both beds could've benefited from a thicker blanket because it's colder right now. The ones we had were very very thin. The pillows were comfortable, almost felt like they were Buoyant. Lol. But they were enough of them on each bed to make it comfortable. The living areas were clean. Well designed as well. The kitchen was ample. Everything you ever needed to make dinner within your vacation home, while away. We were able to cook dinner in here a few nights, without feeling like we forgot things. They do need cookie sheets. If you want to make cookies, or some thing that needs to have some sort of cookie sheet, they don't have those. The living room was neat and clean. I think it might've been a pull out couch? Not sure because we didn't use it. The TV setup was a little odd. It was a smart TV, but we were told by maintenance that the smart part of it didn't work. It was just cable. While we're there, our remote stopped working. They had to reprogram it for us. No big deal, but still kind of weird. Our biggest concern? The room keys. Or should I say the room cards. We had to have at least six different times somebody either come to the room or us have to go to the front desk to do the new keys because they stopped working and were deactivated. We were told don't put them near our phones. We didn't, but in 2023, that shouldn't even be an issue. They should have some sort of alternative key that doesn't have to deactivate if it gets near a phone. Kind of stupid if I do say so. The front desk staff, and the maintenance staff are all very nice. However, when we checked in? The gentleman with the dark hair seemed very confused. I guess there's a new system they were using for the computer, and not everybody understood it yet. I heard him telling somebody on the phone he didn't know how to do something, and they had to call back later. I don't think that's very good customer service. It was more the way that he said it than what he said. He didn't seem like even wanted to help them but more frustrated that he couldn't use the system. Maybe it was his off day. The other gray haired man was nice and laughed about not being able to understand the new system yet. But everybody else was super nice and super helpful. And I I can say how helpful the maintenance staff was. Great!!! They actually thought it was funny as well, that are keys kept not working. The grounds are strange. Very very very dark. And not in a good way. I know it's the winter, but I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere. It was almost frightening dark. At least more than half of the buildings were empty. Again, understandable because it is the winter season, but there are no lights on the roads going to those Condos. None at all. There are no lights until you get to the condo. Not at all. I think they could benefit from having some sort a street lamp type thing going around the perimeter of a property. It was really odd that our condo building had nobody on either side of us as well. Almost creepy. It made me very uncomfortable in the evening. But, again, off-season, so nobody was really there. Was it close to things? Yes, if you were a local. There were some restaurants, Mashpee Commons is close by, and there are some grocery stores. Is it close to anything that you would want to see as a vacationer? Probably not. You'd have to drive a good 30 minutes to get to anywhere like Yarmouth and further down the Cape. I'm not sure if we would come back here. If updates were done? Maybe. We usually go to the Cape off-season. This place though, I don't think it was a win. I heard from the staff that facility was just bought by another association, so maybe they have plans to do some updating. We will see. read more

We stayed in 2 different rooms as a PCSing military family for 2 different weeks. The first room(7-5) was decent, a couple of things were outdated and the bathtub drain stopper on the bottom floor didn't work. There was an earwig or some sort of bug inside the stove clock display that was crawling around 'on time' every day. There were a few other bugs(ticks/spiders/etc) we noticed inside but at the same time, the hotel is in the woods so you can't control all of them. The room was very spacious, a loft room that was a complete room with closing door, full bath, huge walk-in closet, bed, tv, etc. Downstairs was a full kitchen, lots of counter space with full sized stove/oven, microwave, full fridge/freezer, dishwasher, etc. Coffee machine, pots, pans, silverware, toaster, can opener, plates, bowls....everything you need. Dining room had table and 4 chairs. Large living room with sofa, chairs, fold out couch, closet with non-electric carpet vacuum, broom, iron, etc. full bath downstairs (tons of counter space and cabinet below in both bathrooms), sliding glass door, private back porch with table and chairs, tv and console. The second room we stayed in(11-3) was slightly more updated as far as appliances and bedding. The first room's bed was like sleeping on a saltine cracker. Not comfortable at all. The second room's bed was much better. The sofa beds were both terrible but I didn't expect luxury there. There's an outdoor pool and an indoor pool in a heated room as well as a jacuzzi and sauna. The kids enjoyed putt-putt and ping pong too. The hotel is located close to shopping, groceries and other things to do. There were woods behind the rooms where we saw lots of turkeys, chipmunks, squirrels and other animals playing around which was neat. Overall it's really nice and spacious and we enjoyed the stay. One star was removed because the beds were very uncomfortable and also the drain situation in the first bathroom made things very inconvenient with 4 small children. When I pay for 2 bathrooms to be full functioning, I expect them to be. One way to improve all the rooms(aside from the issues mentioned) is to provide a small shelf or entry table by the front door. Even coat hooks or key hooks would be an improvement. Something to place door keys or car keys or phones or purse, etc when you walk in without cluttering the kitchen counters. read more

The place is conveniently located off the main road and close to shops. It was clean, but so outdated. It is like walking into a 80's. Grounds needs to be taken care off better (pulling weeds, cutting the overgrown hedges, fixing the golf course, redoing the numbers of the shuffle board etc. ) two pools both indoor and outdoor. Indoor pool water was foggy. Needed to be shocked and cleaned. Outdoor pool was much better. They need to invest a few million to improve the decor and overall appearance. If you are thinking about staying here...Don't. My family has stayed at many time share resorts, buy this was the worst. The rooms were outdated, and not very clean. We stayed on the second floor, and under us was a family with 20 year old kids that drank all night into the morning and didnt stop until 4:00 in the morning. We tried to call the office but no one ever answered. We talked to office in the morning and they tokd me that the owners would be talked to. But guess what, the same thing happened the next night too. Other surrounding guest complained too, and nothing was done. I think this property is going down hill, and needs new management. As good a timeshare as I've ever stayed at... Very comfortable and well-appointed units. Lots of amenities (loved the mini golf) -- the outdoor pool is currently closed but that will likely change as Covid situation improves. Staff was helpful and friendly -- when we wanted to switch rooms upon arrival because of a slight issue, they were happy to accommodate. Just wish the bed was more comfortable, but I could live with it. read more

Great location and property with mini-golf, walking distance from stores, indoor/outdoor pool but other than a positive run-in with Maintenance Man upon check-in to fix TV it was poor overall. Paid for a room and rollaway for an extra day even though they were notified of the date change, absolutely harassed on the checkout day... Called by Front Desk 5 minutes before set checkout time and 4+ times afterwards threatening to "charge another days room charge for the late departure" - left at Noon and wasn't aware checkout was 10am!! WAY too early for a "Famiy Friendly Resort"! Will NOT be returning to this location when visiting The Cape! read more

My wife and I stayed at the Sea Mist May 3-2019 thru May 10 -2019. We travel all over the US visa-vie Marriott trades and other travel services. We are Marriott owners and will trade frequently. We will never use up a week to go to the Sea Mist again. The facility is in no way comparable to a Marriott facility. Cleanliness is obviously not on the Sea Mist's agenda, the musty smell was gross, the small insects that came out from a winters sleep were just wonderful to see. The apartment has light switches that go to nothing within the unit. There are no paths that go across the back accessing the pool and the gym, which makes absolutely no sense when the complex is built in a 360 circle. The property needs a face lift to say the least. I've been an owner at Sea Mist since it was built, and I've used my week most years. Lately the property is upgrading the units, and while that project took awhile, it's done and my two-bedroom unit is quite nice! New, very comfortable bed. Very comfortable sofa, and updated TV. The kitchen is so nice I'd like to have it in my home! Bathrooms have plenty of towels, for both bath and pool/beach. No need to bring towels from home! Having said that, the landscaping could use some work, and the mini-golf repair is in process. I was disappointed that it was closed while I was there. I gave the resort only three stars because of the landscaping. I'll revisit my review after next year's stay! The Sea Mist Staff is very helpful, and easy to contact, but this is not a hotel, so you'll need to bring toiletries. There may be a small additional charge for special items. There's two grocery stores nearby, and Mashpee Commons is walking distance. It's an easy drive to South Cape Beach, and equidistant to Falmouth & Hyannis for touristing. My advice - read the current reviews, and ignore the old reviews. Sea Mist is a great value! read more

Updating review after stayed by over a few nights. Found what appears to be a toe ring in the bed! Not mine. Back sliding glass door wouldn't lock! Sharing a deck with other units and easy access. I've owned a timeshare unit here for 10 yrs and still enjoy returning. Whenever I've had an issue with cleanliness or something not working its been taken care of quickly by calling the office. The resort has been in the process of renovating so those that left negative reviews must have gotten the rooms not yet redecorated. Its a timeshare condo - not a hotel so yes, you have to bring personal necessities in with you and no, there is no maid service. If you want the amenities of a hotel then stay in one. All the info about check-out times, etc are given to each guest on check - in. Its your responsibility to read it. My siblings and their families who have stayed there were well prepared for what they would have to bring and had a wonderful time. read more

I have been coming here for over 20 years and love love love everything about sea mist. The resort is properly maintained with updated units, its family oriented and has tons of charm. It's a great place for kids with numerous activities and it's conveniently located near shopping centers. Would recommend this resort to anyone looking for the perfect cape cod experience. read more

We came to the resort off-season for spring break. Still snow on the ground, and it snowed while we were here. The resort is older and dated, but the management is in the midst of a renovation cycle. That said, the bathrooms and the ceiling in our unit were redone, but not much more. The ceiling in the 'master' bedroom was cracked all along the corner of the duct chase that ran over the bed. The wallpaper at the corners of the walls where they met the wall facing the inner courtyard was wrinkling and even the carpet on the floor and the baseboard suggested the outer wall had subsided about 1/2 inch! The only thing that didn't reflect that change in position was the ceiling, which had obviously been redone at some prior time. Customer service was fine, but just a couple things to beware of. First, the cable for the TV was spotty. Many of the 'better' cable channels would not come in. We were told it was an issue with the cable company, and it was not resolved during our stay. This was unfortunate, as we did spend most of our time in this week. Also, the internet required a paid subscription, about $22 for the week for two devices. We had no end of trouble signing up for that. That service is handled by an outside vendor, not the resort itself. I was able to effectively work via VPN and stream music, but it was not like being home on my high-speed cable modem. We did not try to stream video; not sure if that would work well or not. Pool and hot tub were warm and hot, respectively. We had no issues with either, and in all, we were warm and cozy during our late winter stay. Much of the furniture was due for replacement, as the #2 bedroom dresser drawers would not easily open/close. Other issues, like haphazardly patched walls in the #2 bedroom closet containing the furnace, and having walls which were crudely patched with tacked-on plywood, and other places in the closets and behind counters where holes were made in walls for plumbing or what-not, and not properly repaired, were disconcerting. We did notice noises overhead from other residents too, but they were not overly troublesome. Customer service, though largely ineffective, was still friendly. The unit was actually larger than my own 2-bedroom one-bath home! Oh, I almost forgot - the outlets throughout the unit were worn, most would not firmly hold the plugs from cords which were put in them. We traded in with RCI, and I feel like we traded 'down'. read more
