    Absolutely stunning

Absolutely gorgeous inn. We had to come back and share this beautiful place to stay with family and friends. Booked 5 rooms for a double birthday celebration. 5+ stars for customer service. Susie, Vinnay, Katie, Leslie, Adriana and Lilah were so friendly, helpful and just lovely ladies. They made sure our stay was PERFECT!!! They were so patient with us and had no problem answering all our questions. They went out of their way to make my birthday the best! Had champagne, wine and chocolate covered strawberries waiting in our gorgeous suite. Thank you! The inn was stunning, clean and had everything you'll need. From binoculars to navarro Chardonnay in every room. Couldn't ask for better amenities. The location? Perfect! We were in the middle of Fort Bragg, the redwoods, the ocean and Mendocino town. Breakfast was delicious and the pot of coffee did not disappoint. My family and I made beautiful memories here. Thank you Sea rock inn- you guys truly rock! I highly recommend this place.

If you're looking for a lovely stay with incredible hospitality in a gorgeous tranquil setting with a stunning view, this is the spot. There are so many unique features from the office check-in process, to the water, coffee, tea and brownies upon arrival, to the welcome bottle of wine available in room. The grounds are meticulously maintained along with the cabins which were thoughtfully designed, no detail is spared. Parking is assigned and located near each cottage. A property map is available online, along with detailed descriptions of each room type so you can select the one best suited for your stay. I cannot say enough good things about this place and I can't wait to return. Thank you!

Spent a long weekend at Seal Rock Inn and I would highly recommend the spot. Very convenient to the downtown Mendocino area. You can also walk from the inn to the Mendocino Headlands which has great views and a good spot to see whales migrating. Best part is the staff. While you can book online I recommend calling the inn directly. They were great help picking out our room and making recommendations on dining, sightseeing and events that are happening in the area. The staff is super friendly and you have a good choice of breakfast options that change day to day.

Picture a Hallmark movie or an episode of Chesapeake Shores. That's exactly the atmosphere you'll get at the Sea Rock Bed & Breakfast Inn. It truly does exist in real life! Kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, and attention to detail, combined with the most beautiful views and clean and quaint cottages. Thank you, Sea Rock, and especially Lilah, for your care for us. We loved celebrating our 27th anniversary in Mendocino. See you again in the future!

My husband and I stayed at the Sea Rock Inn and absolutely loved it. We had great ocean views, the room was spacious and lovely, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. Lila at the front desk gave us some good recommendations for what to do in town. Thank you for the wonderful time Sea Rock Inn!

This is our go to place on the California coast. Excellent accommodations, clean and upscale. The breakfast is always delicious. The staff are excellent!

We stayed in Cottage #1 because it's the only kid-friendly cottage with a lack of shared walls. The location and view of the Mendocino headlands is hard to beat. Loved the wraparound front deck / veranda. It was made so charming with chairs, table, abalone shell - and in the morning, the Sea Rock Inn coffee mug. The fireplace was lovely. Staff was helpful with bottled water and getting us more coffee. There is no shortage of things to do and places to eat in the area. Logistically, we were always informed when the Tesla charger was available. The Fort Bragg Tesla Supercharger was handy - just a ten-minute drive away (and super close to Noyo Fish Company and Princess Seafood? Yes, please.) Thank you Sea Rock Inn for helping us create some really amazing memories (read: selfies) on your beautiful grounds! The heart shaped bushes are really charming.

Oh my gosh this might be the cutest place I've ever stayed in. My boyfriend booked it for our anniversary and when we walked in there was a bottle of wine with a little card and chocolates. The location is amazing..we went hiking on the coast one day and caught the sunset in the evening while sipping on beers in the law chairs. We also went out to dinner in Fort Bragg which was a short car ride away. The breakfast in bed both days were delicious. It's the perfect getaway if you want to relax for a weekend.

The place is outstanding. Great location overlooking the ocean. The rooms were very clean, the bed was super comfortable, breakfast was excellent. The staff could not have been more accommodating. We would not stay anywhere else in the area.

Look no further, and book your stay with Sea Rock Inn! I spent hours researching hotels in Mendocino for our trip, and am so happy I ended up going with Sear Rock Inn. We had Cottage #2, and it was the cutest more quaint little cottage ever! Breakfast was hand delivered to our door/outdoor patio area every morning due to their indoor dining being closed because of COVID. But I loved sitting out on our porch, eating breakfast with the ocean view every morning. Our first night there, they left a complimentary bottle of wine in my room for my birthday. My fiancé and I ordered a cheeseboard, and we drank wine and ate cheese on their lawn overlooking the ocean while watching the sunset. It was amazing! The grounds are kept up so well, and every little inch of the property is beautiful. The staff was also incredibly nice and helpful when needed. Downton is only a quick few minutes drive away. I will definitely be staying here again should I ever return to Mendocino!

Absolutely loved my stay here! This is a lovely bed and breakfast with amazing ocean views. My husband and I stayed in Suite 7, and it was perfect. We had direct ocean views from our room and could see the sunset each evening from the front deck (and even from inside our room!). Breakfast was solid, and the baked goods were a standout! I also appreciated that they were on time each morning with breakfast and gave us a call beforehand to ensure we were ready. At other properties I've stayed at in the area, breakfast was either delivered way too early or too late, and delivered without warning. There were also small touches that made a difference. For example, they give you a list of recommended restaurants in the area, binoculars in your room for whale watching, amazing bath robes and daily brownies at the front desk! The brownies are SO good. No joke I probably had 10 in 4 days (oops). Diet starts tomorrow!

After years of hearing my parents tell me how beautiful Mendocino is, the wife and I decided to spend Valentines there. After doing our legwork, we decided on the Sea Rock and we were not disappointed!. Not only is the area stunning, but the accommodations are nicer than any place we have stayed before and we have been to some nice places. The personal attention given to us from the little personal greetings to the bottle of wine and delicious local candy assortment was beyond expectation. The fireplaces with the endless supply of wood made those stormy days and nights so damn cozy and romantic. We already made our reservation for next year when we checked out. The staff was wonderful and had answers to every question about the area. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Oh did we mention the beds and bedding? THE BEST!! This place is a must if you want to visit! Ken and Alex Room 12

We stayed in the Treehouse room, and it was absolutely gorgeous. They even left a welcome note for us with our names on it. It had a tiny kitchenette with a microwave and fridge, plus everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room also had coffee, tea, a tea kettle, and a coffee pot, and they even emailed us in advance to ask what type of creamer we wanted in the room, including almond, oat, and half-and-half options. One of our favorite parts was the real wood fireplace. It made the room feel so cozy and special. The bed was also super comfortable and warm, and we fell asleep with the window open, which was perfect. Eric and the team also give guests access to the lobby area, where you can play games, read books, and enjoy homemade cookies and lemon bars that they leave out for everyone. It was such a sweet touch. The entire property is beautiful and open, and there is a short trail down to the beach, about three minutes from the property. Around 5 p.m., we saw locals walking their dogs and hanging out by the beach, which made it feel even more charming and peaceful. Breakfast in the morning was amazing and included with the stay. Eric explained where all the ingredients were from (local) and even accommodated gluten free guests. Overall, Allegra has everything you need, so you really do not need to bring much. It was cozy, welcoming, and such a special place to stay. Big shoutout to Eric who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. He drew us a map of local restaurants he recommended, all of which were amazing! We will definitely be back soon.

My husband and I were blown away by the flavors and freshness of both of our breakfasts and easily could have stayed longer for more. The staff here is very responsive, friendly, and really made us feel welcome. We absolutely would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet escape in Mendocino.

Now, for starters, when I think of a room "suite" you're expecting pretty nice amenities. You definitely want to feel like you have the comforts of home at your disposal. This room is listed as having. . . White Water Ocean Views King Featherbed Wood-burning Fireplace Mini Fridge Private Bath Tub and Shower So, let's get into it..... Firstly, I found it very easy to reserve the room via the app from Booking.com It's one of my preferred travel reservation methods, and the Inn Keeper John later reached out to confirm payment details and to charge the room just before my stay. That part was very simple. We arrived on Sat 14th around 3 ish in the afternoon to be greeted by one of the hosts named Diane. She is very welcoming and friendly. Gave us a little tour, asked if we needed anything, showed us to our room, etc. Diane gets 10 stars for her individual role within the Bed and Breakfast. Mind you, December is VERY cold in Mendocino. Some roads can be flooded. The ocean waves are angry but beautiful. It's windy and rainy. It's cold!! But I am dating a winter snow bear so she likes to feel the chill while retreating to a comfortable room. For this review, I am going to simplify it with a pros/cons list of how the experience was for 2 days, 2 nights. PROS --- Diane makes homemade cookies daily. Delicious! Delicious homemade breakfast served daily outside the room (picture) Wonderful upstairs views of the ocean tides Best homemade pesto sauce I have ever had during breakfast A very large plush king sized bed with like 12 pillows A mini fridge which is appreciated Strong fast wifi connection A seating area to eat cookies and interact with other guests Walking distance to the town of Mendocino A large enough room where we didn't directly hear too much noise above or below Up front parking right by the Inn You have a set of keys to come and go at all hours from the front locking door to your room. CONS --- Featherbed, you say? It is so plush, that you have zero support for joints. For those of us in our 40s, we went from a relaxing massage in town, to waking up with back and joint pain from it being too feathery. No support. Tub and Shower? Sure. They even have a cute lavender sleep bath salt. What could be the problem. How about that the tub only filled up with barely lukewarm water. My breath has more heat. The tub and shower wasn't cold, but it definitely did not warm us. My partner had to use the tea kettle to boil water and pour me a bath. The lamp on one side of the bed kept flickering and wouldn't turn on. We had one lamp across the room by the sofa. One small lamp on the other side of the bed. One very wobbly lamp on the table by the bay view window. And the bathroom lights. The room is dark and dreary. Oh, let's not forget the wood-burning Fireplace. I have never been so anxiety filled near a fireplace. The fireplace is the only place to really have warmth. The room itself is large and drafty so it will get cold. There's a tiny space heater behind the couch but that does nothing. You could touch it with your hand. The fireplace chain screen that is there as a safety measure so you don't have fiery embers flinging out on the carpet or worse, on you, doesn't close all the way! It is very old and outdated. Downright safety hazard! I was cold every day, and every night. I couldn't get heat from the tub, shower, fireplace, space heater or anything! Obviously, we cuddled and had the bed blankets, but then your back hurts from the pillow softness. The couch is more comfortable. I am not even going out of my way to find negativity with the stay. This is just how it went! For the price of this suite, my experience was very disappointing! I have been cold ever since! We would not stay again.

I've stayed at this B&B several…read moretimes over the past 20 years and the current (offsite and very distant) ownership group is quickly putting the final nail in the proverbial coffin. I'll start with the biggest issue. A total lack of transparency. When we booked our multi-nite stay, there was no notice of ongoing construction on the exterior deck AND the desk clerk said nothing about it when we checked in. The noise was off and on all day, including weekends. I'm not simply referring to hammering and sawing. The crew was playing music and SINGING along...right outside our windows. When we complained about this to 3 different desk clerks, all claimed ignorance and/or that they had "no control" over the situation". Similar situation during breakfast, when we were told they were out of 2-4 items on the menu EVERY morning. Regarding the menu, the entre descriptions were generally incorrect as what we were served never matched the entre description on the menu. Update the menu! The lack of communication among and between staff was remarkable and led to missed accommodations, confirmations or simply not getting a response at all. We learned quickly that we needed to tell every single staff member that we could find about any concern or question we had. Ridiculous. Regarding staff, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and simply assume that they are struggling, greatly, obtaining and/or retaining staff. The staff seemed very poorly trained on most functions, including basic customer service. They were pleasant, but uninformed often incapable, and totally unaccountable. This is a management issue, 100%. One of my fondest memories of the Brewery Gulch Inn has always been the setting and the current management is systematically destroying it. A casual look around the property, let alone a stroll, and you will see piles of debris, construction, or otherwise, dilapidated or decaying sitting areas, unkempt landscaping, and a general lack of attention. For those of us who remember the Brewery Gulch Inn from years past, this is one of the saddest parts of my review. On the positive/neutral side, the rooms are fairly well maintained (shower fixtures, light fixtures need attention), carpet is overdue for replacement). Housekeeping is attentive and thorough. For an Inn on the Mendocino coast that's charging upwards of $800-900 per night, depending on the room and season, it's shocking the entity that owns the Brewery Gulch Inn is allowing this to happen (and after talking with some other establishments in the area, I felt like the last to know). In summary, there are many locations to choose from in the area that provide a setting with service that match the price. The Brewery Gulch Inn is not one of them. Buyer beware.

Location is walkable to everything in town, including the Headlands (about 10 minutes). Our favorite thing was drinking coffee in the morning everyday with their cat Gemma! Definitely book!

Check out was simple, just leaving our keys in the room. We enjoyed the scone breakfast every morning and the simple but kind hospitality provided by the inn staff. There are no TVs or fridges in the room but there is a communal fridge on property. There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion in all the rooms and makeup wipes. They provide fresh towels daily if needed as the climate tends to not dry things in just one day. They also have an electric car charger if one is needed and ice. The parlor is a step back in time with coffee and tea and open 24/7 for guest use. They also provided in the afternoon - upon our arrival on a Saturday (not sure if this is the norm but a great touch!) The inn is right off of highway 1 but wasn't too loud, although could depend which room you stay. It is also walkable to parts of town about a quarter mile if you're willing. They provided flashlights as well if you go out at night- a nice touch! And I do recommend to see stars in unpolluted night sky! Overall we had a great and restful experience here and recommend you stay in this quiet b&b if you're looking to recharge! Thank you Joshua Grindle team !

We opted to have dinner (pizza & salads) on our first night there and everyone was pleased. We had a group of 27 - including lots of kids - and it was a fabulous experience. The people working the front desk area were fine, we didn't really have to interact with them much after check in. If I could give one suggestion that would make it even better... more breakfast options in the morning. The oatmeal was delicious though. We loved the coffee and tea station. It is a little pricey to stay here, but it's a great experience! Beautiful place.

I couldn't understand why I started to become congested beyond reason. I DO NOT suffer from allergies nor do I sneeze from new environments.....and I figured out in the morning after heavy fog rolled in the complete dampness of the inside of the tent. I started to approach "wheezing" phase, took my arse outside the tent and it got better. We stayed in L5. Mildew/mold sickness is totally real and can cause serious problems; I'm not trying to scare anyone, but simply bring awareness. I know, as it took me months to recover from mold intoxication from 2024. MG needs to revamp their shower facilities as there is black mold in tile work and floor. Bigger ventilation will kick it. I was overwhelmed with a waft of mildew when I opened the shower door. Also MG, you guys really need to stay on top of keeping the bathroom(s) clean. I encountered disgusting habits from females. So gross...too nasty to mention. I don't understand humans. Be clean and respect others. If you don't mind screaming kids running through your tent area, damp camping, and icky bathroom behavior, cool. If you do, skip it.

This time was the worst and we will never be back again. These are the reasons why: there is no room service unless one asks for it; our room #19 was disturbed by someone on the property replacing the roof right out side our window; the rate includes breakfast and the service was so bad that on our second night we bought breakfast at a nearby cafe; we had a classic drink (gimlet) at the bar and I had to tell the attendant how to make it; the physical plant needs major attention, very tired. The final incident sealed the deal for me. I went to the front to request a meet with management to address the constant hammering--never a response! It is very sad for us because we used to love this place.
