The girlfriend and I recently went up to Mendocino for her birthday weekend during December 14-15th, 2024. This review is for our 2 night stay in the Bessie Strauss Suite. Now, for starters, when I think of a room "suite" you're expecting pretty nice amenities. You definitely want to feel like you have the comforts of home at your disposal. This room is listed as having. . . White Water Ocean Views King Featherbed Wood-burning Fireplace Mini Fridge Private Bath Tub and Shower So, let's get into it..... Firstly, I found it very easy to reserve the room via the app from Booking.com It's one of my preferred travel reservation methods, and the Inn Keeper John later reached out to confirm payment details and to charge the room just before my stay. That part was very simple. We arrived on Sat 14th around 3 ish in the afternoon to be greeted by one of the hosts named Diane. She is very welcoming and friendly. Gave us a little tour, asked if we needed anything, showed us to our room, etc. Diane gets 10 stars for her individual role within the Bed and Breakfast. Mind you, December is VERY cold in Mendocino. Some roads can be flooded. The ocean waves are angry but beautiful. It's windy and rainy. It's cold!! But I am dating a winter snow bear so she likes to feel the chill while retreating to a comfortable room. For this review, I am going to simplify it with a pros/cons list of how the experience was for 2 days, 2 nights. PROS --- Diane makes homemade cookies daily. Delicious! Delicious homemade breakfast served daily outside the room (picture) Wonderful upstairs views of the ocean tides Best homemade pesto sauce I have ever had during breakfast A very large plush king sized bed with like 12 pillows A mini fridge which is appreciated Strong fast wifi connection A seating area to eat cookies and interact with other guests Walking distance to the town of Mendocino A large enough room where we didn't directly hear too much noise above or below Up front parking right by the Inn You have a set of keys to come and go at all hours from the front locking door to your room. CONS --- Featherbed, you say? It is so plush, that you have zero support for joints. For those of us in our 40s, we went from a relaxing massage in town, to waking up with back and joint pain from it being too feathery. No support. Tub and Shower? Sure. They even have a cute lavender sleep bath salt. What could be the problem. How about that the tub only filled up with barely lukewarm water. My breath has more heat. The tub and shower wasn't cold, but it definitely did not warm us. My partner had to use the tea kettle to boil water and pour me a bath. The lamp on one side of the bed kept flickering and wouldn't turn on. We had one lamp across the room by the sofa. One small lamp on the other side of the bed. One very wobbly lamp on the table by the bay view window. And the bathroom lights. The room is dark and dreary. Oh, let's not forget the wood-burning Fireplace. I have never been so anxiety filled near a fireplace. The fireplace is the only place to really have warmth. The room itself is large and drafty so it will get cold. There's a tiny space heater behind the couch but that does nothing. You could touch it with your hand. The fireplace chain screen that is there as a safety measure so you don't have fiery embers flinging out on the carpet or worse, on you, doesn't close all the way! It is very old and outdated. Downright safety hazard! I was cold every day, and every night. I couldn't get heat from the tub, shower, fireplace, space heater or anything! Obviously, we cuddled and had the bed blankets, but then your back hurts from the pillow softness. The couch is more comfortable. I am not even going out of my way to find negativity with the stay. This is just how it went! For the price of this suite, my experience was very disappointing! I have been cold ever since! We would not stay again. read more

Very nice. I'm not much of the bed-and-breakfast type, but this one was not bad at all. We were in The Hideaway which is a standalone cottage. It was cozy and quiet and within walking distance of anywhere in Mendocino you'd like to go. Surrounded by plenty of cafes and restaurants, once you park you will have easy access to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. We checked out too early for the breakfast (starts at 9:00 am), so can't tell you much about that. If in the area, I'd stay again. read more

We loved every minute of our stay here. Easy strolls to nearby restaurants, shops, and coastline. It was our first time staying at a bed & breakfast and we LOVED having someone knock on our door around 9 am with breakfast every morning. The breakfasts were fresh and unique. The room itself (Barry Room) was cozy and very clean. We loved keeping all the windows opened at night and staying warm under the bedding. There was a real working fireplace in the room so we used that a couple of times during our stay - sooo special. The host even made peanut butter cookies and put them in the common living room area for guests to help themselves. 10/10 recommend! read more

Breakfast not served until 9 am. No coffee, other than packets of instant, available earlier. Bed had a feather top, which was bunched into a huge lump in the middle of the bed. Guests in room above us were awake until 1 am, clomping about, going up and down stairs, etc. There is no soundproofing between floors. In the bathroom, the shower head is mounted too low, so I could not shampoo without bending and ducking under the water flow. One saving grace: when the breakfast finally came, it was good -- or maybe we were just desperate by that time. read more

My wife chose this place for our 1 year anniversary and we could not have been happier with our stay. The inn keepers and staff were so welcoming and everything from the fluffy bed, fireplace, hot breakfasts, and quiet atmosphere was perfect. I got a little nervous on the drive there thinking about it being privately owned and the potential for homophobia from people in such a small place, but as soon as we checked in and were met with the most warm and welcoming vibe my fears were squelched. I would say LGTBQ friendly for anyone worried about this, We were treated like the most important people who ever walked in (as I'm sure everyone is given these reviews). Here's what I loved about this place- the owner really does care about your experience here. We stayed in a suite with a HUGE balcony on the back and while the room itself didn't have an ocean view, there is a small ocean view at the far end of the balcony that was beautiful for breakfast outside. We even chose to eat dinner our there, getting takeout nearby. There are lots of great restaurants right around the corner. They serve a lovely HOT breakfast in your room! And when I say hot, I mean HOT. It was a beautifully presented ramekin with an egg quiche inside of a fluted thin tortilla. There was finely cut fruit salad garnished with jasmine, a delicious pumpkin and chocolate loaf and juice and your hot beverage. They've also outfitted the rooms with tea kettles and lots of beverage choices from hot apple cider, hot cocoa, and several types of tea. They currently have a couple of small discrepancies between what their website offers and what they're delivering theses days, so don't expect the following: Newspaper with breakfast, bedside chocolates, afternoon cookies/tea, and the upstairs parlour is off limits to guests. We pointed this out to the owner, and they are working on getting the website updated. Once we shared this with them, they went out of their way to help us with the things that were important to us, which is all I ask for. When owners/management listen and truly care about the guest there's such a sweet spirit of hospitality that is rare and to be treasured. read more

What an adorable bed and breakfast! I had never been to a bed and breakfast before and this was such a treat. The bed and breakfast is in a gorgeous Victorian house facing the ocean. We were there on a rainy December weekend (very romantic and relaxing). There was a lovely English style garden in the front which we weren't able to use due to the rain. I can see lounging in it during the summer with a glass of wine in hand. We had a decent sized room downstairs with an attached bathroom. The only negative was being downstairs we heard a lot of noise from the upstairs guests but that's to be expected in an old home. The bed was cozy and had plenty of space for two adults. The huge positive of this place was the 5 star breakfast. I swear this place gave me some of the best breakfast I've ever had! It wasn't just eggs and bacon, but over the top fancy breakfast food. Such a delight getting to cuddle in bed and eat the food. Also the house is close by all shopping and activities. We had a great time exploring downtown and using the hotel as our base. Lovely spacious room, with a gas fireplace, couch, mini fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. King bed was super comfy with lovely linens. We had the time of our lives at this splendid B&B. The staff was unbeliebably helpful, pointing us to areas (restaurants, locations) we might want to visit on our trip, as well as offering to move luggage, giving us directions to our next stop, etc. Getting the room booked was simple. You get to talk to a live and personable innkeeper, are not placed on hold, nor do you feel like a number. Mendocino itself is beautiful, but the inn was perhaps the biggest and best part of what made this weekend a special trip. The Switzer room, on the top floor of the main house, was very elegantly cozy. The fireplace lit easily and was a delightful place to play one of the board games they had in a curio. While sipping tea that the innkeeper offered, we nibbled on their home-baked cookies and other goodies (including candies). The bed was very sweet, with a quilt and perfect pillows and bedside chocolates. Hypoallergenic soap was in the bathroom. Robes were available. We took advantage of lavender/orange spa treatment salts for a nice long and hot luxurious bath. The big house is very quiet. We felt completely alone in the place, with the exception of the innkeeper. The house is close to absolutely everything the quaint little town offers (which is a lot for a small town) -- high quality galleries, superb restaurants, ocean viewing, the best kind of bookstore, craft shops, higher end and unique retail clothing, a chocolate shop, music store, and much more -- every kind of shopping and petite luxury that makes time away from home better. The best part of the visit though was the unbelievably fine breakfast at the B&B, brought to our door, with the morning's copy of the SF Chronicle and fresh cut flowers. This was the most fantastic breakfast I have EVER had. I am not a quiche lover, but what was mostly like a quiche was served, with Mexican veggies and flavors in a crispy filo-edged bowl. I can no longer say real men (at least this one) don't eat quiche. The roasted veggies were divine. A wide selection of teas (my fiancé had coffee instead), juices, home-baked breads (pumpkin with chocolate) and yummy corn muffins were on our tray, in the bay style window that has a look at the village and the sea. But, this isn't the end of this love story. Absolutely delicious baked cinnamon apples mixed with granola, yogurt, and fresh blueberries and strawberries delighted our senses. A fuschia blossom adorned the dish. The chef must be a pro, and a good one at that, because I've rarely had as fine quality for breakfast at fine restaurants. The whole meal was unbelievably delicious. Long story short, I can't say enough good about this place. There's more, but not enough time to relate it all. The place is a remarkable bargain at close to $150 a night in the off season, including the remarkable breakfast and service. Other rooms at the inn are more expensive and fancier I presume, but we felt like royalty in this lovely space. read more

Perfect getaway, lovely stay! My husband and I loved our stay here. We felt pampered by the fabulous breakfasts delivered to our room each morning, and thoroughly enjoyed them at our sitting area with a view of the ocean and garden. The Inn is close to everything. Just a mere five-minute-walk to a fabulous beach, and delectable restaurants are about one or two blocks around the corner. We sneaked a peek of a couple other rooms during our stay here and all of them are decorated super cute. You can't go wrong with any rooms here. The only thing I would note is that linens here do appear to be scented from laundry detergent and as someone who prefers scent-free that was literally the only thing I could nitpick about our stay. What a great time we had here for several days in Mendocino! We stayed in their cottage that was dog friendly, and it was wonderful. It had a lovely fireplace that we used on a couple of evenings along with the jetted tub. The breakfasts were exceptional, both beautifully presented along with being very tasty! They were also brought to our room every morning! We also enjoyed the afternoon tea times where we could visit with other guests there and enjoy their homemade cookies. The owners and staff were so accommodating. They provided food that accommodated my gluten and dairy free diet and still made the breakfasts and snacks delicious! We will come back! We came for just one night, and had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable getaways ever. Everything is walking distance in the town, and the Headlands Inn is perfectly situated. We stayed in the John Barry Room and had a phenomenal view of the ocean and tree covered hills. In the afternoon, we were treated to tea and cookies. There were also gluten-free options. My wife can't eat gluten, and the Headlands Inn was incredibly accommodating. Although the vacancy sign said "full" we didn't hear anybody else during our stay. Either this place is very well insulated, or the guests were remarkably quiet. Our room was cozy, the chairs were comfortable, and the bed provided a very good night sleep. There are windows that look out on three sides of the Inn. In the morning, the staff brings the breakfast to your room. They had little flags in the frittatas and the muffins indicating that they were gluten-free. The meal was excellent! I think we have found our getaway for all future escapes. I have no hesitation in recommending The Headlands Inn. read more

We had an Ocean view, charming decor with a fireplace and a lovely bottle of wine when we arrived.I've never experienced a better feather bed.Breakfast is bounty of delectable assortment served hot to our room. There are several restaurants in the area it's advised that you make a reservation if you can. While you are in the Mendocino area make sure to get a reservation at the Mendocino Botanical garden. It's 2 or 2.5 hours of a feast of color and beauty.Plants showing off and the ocean front walk. Well worth the cost of admission. read more

This was my first bed and breakfast experience and I was blown away. I stayed in Casper Cottage, which is a separate little building next to the main house. It was private, and very cozy. I really enjoyed the large jetted tub, the robes, and the super comfy bed. Every morning we were delivered breakfast to the door, and it was delicious! I don't eat red meat and they accommodated this restriction with no issue. We also stopped by the main house for cookies one day, and they were great. The location is central and in walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops in the town. I just hope I can come back someday :) read more

My husband & I were at this B&B in March 2022 (first time) and we were soooo happy & wowed with this place and its owners! Ashley was so so nice and was happy to answer all of our questions and fill all of our requests. This place was clean and a step back in Victorian times and we were very comfortable and our stay was problem free and a delight! Ashley's breakfast was Chef worthy and AMAZING! She also wanted us to know at 1:00pm each day she bakes HOMEMADE cookies and puts them out in the library for all to enjoy...YOU WHAT???? We selected the Headlands Inn based on the online reviews and are we ever glad we did!! The Inn is located in the village, walking distance to everything. We stayed in the Casper Cottage, a lovely little place with a private entrance, a fireplace, a wonderful queen bed with reading lights (very important!) a huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub. We also liked that the cottage has nobody above or beside you making it very quiet and private. We were a little concerned that the private entrance to the cottage is literally a foot from the street but it is a side street and very quiet . It was absolutely delicious with a large thermos of fantastic coffee (or tea), not exactly Weight Watchers friendly but who cares, you are on vacation!! The room also had a fridge, microwave, wine glasses and wine opener, so a great setup for a late afternoon wine and cheese which you can enjoy on the Inn's deck or in their garden. Very nice spot to relax. The rooms are of an old Victorian style, but very quaint. The breakfast in the morning was so good. French toast, sausage, fruit, and of course coffee or tea depending on your preference. The price is very reasonable. The house was built in 1868, so it has the charm of that age. It's close to the water and easy access to Mendocino (walking distance) or 10 minutes from Fort Bragg. My wife and I used this for our 2 year anniversary getaway. It was refreshing. Free WiFi, parking is reasonable, pricing good. I know this isn't a deal breaker but it has a parlor room with tea and cookie hours and board games. The only con I would say is because it is an older home the house tends to creak and it feels like the walls are thinner. However, it didn't seem to bother us. We booked a two night stay in the Barry room, and had such a lovely and relaxing time. It was such a relaxing experience to get a fresh and delicious breakfast delivered every morning at 9. Every breakfast was obviously made with care and attention, and it wasn't your run of the mill eggs and bacon. I shopped around at a few different B&Bs in the area before deciding on Headlands. Everywhere else I had seen were either much more expensive, or reviews had mentioned needing repairs. Headlands is the perfect cozy B&B with great amenities and not too modern that you lose the rustic feel. As everyone else has mentioned, there are no TVs in the room, but who wants to waste time watching TV while you can enjoy all the beautiful sights that Mendocino has to offer? Denise was a great host, and even mapped out the entire town and nearby Fort Braggs to show us how we could spend our day. She even offered to make a reservation for us at 955 Ukiah, which was another nice gesture on her part. We didn't get into town until almost 10pm and there was a personalized note on the front door greeting us with instructions for late check in. We had such a great time during our stay that we'll definitely come back to enjoy Mendocino at Headlands again! read more

We stayed here over the Christmas holiday in the Wilson room. The room was amazing and had its own private balcony where you could view the ocean and gardens! It also has a wood burning stove which made for romantic nights in since most of the restaurants are closed due to COVID + the holidays. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. The best thing about this place is the amazing breakfast and service. We came for my 30th bday, and the innkeeper made my day extra special plus was there for anything we might have needed. If you are coming anytime in the near future, prepare to head into Fort Bragg for meals or head to the local grocery store for DIY, as most restaurants are closed. read more

I would give Headlands Inn 10 stars if it were possible! Took my wife up to Mendocino (our first visit) on a surprise birthday trip (her birthday was the day we arrived and she didn't know where we were going until the last hour of our drive). After arriving at Headlands Inn for our 3-night stay, which would be the start of a perfect birthday weekend, we checked into our room (the Patricia Stofle Room). It is the closest to the front door of the inn with a awesome view of the ocean and the Inn's beautiful garden. Perfect timing in April because everything was in bloom and as it turned out, the weather during the weekend was exceptional. The room has a queen bed, private bath, a table for dining, and a fireplace. The Inn was extremely quiet. The Inn is within a short walk to everything in the village and the ocean, as well as many trails to hike on nearby. As it turned out, we didn't use our car after our arrival except to visit two restaurants out of town in nearby locations. Breakfast was served in our room and each days breakfast was amazing, crafted to perfection, with the addition of a daily newspaper for us to read. In the afternoon, tea was served with a wide assortment of delicious cookies and nuts up on the second floor in the parlor, which we took full advantage of. The staff is super friendly and amazing! They are perfectly in tune with every detail of the inn to make your stay as wonderful as possible. We also had lively conversations with Kelly, who was very welcoming and extremely personable with everyone she talked with! If you are looking for a quiet get-away, a short walking distance from everything (shops, restaurants, nature, historical sites) in Mendocino, we highly recommend The Headlands Inn and look forward to staying there the next time we visit Mendocino! read more

Every now and then there is a place that defies expectation in the best ways possible. On a motorcycle trip from San Francisco to Seattle, I was fortunate enough to learn of a last minute room availability at the Headlands Inn and so, instead of heading up I-5, I changed course and rode through the winding roads of Anderson Valley to arrive just as nature created one of the most beautiful sunsets I'd ever seen. This was merely and overture to the best bed and breakfast experiences I've ever had. Arriving at The Headlands Inn felt like returning home to a place I'd never been. As someone from Hawaii, I felt the aloha spirit of warm welcome shown by the people here. The danish have a great word called hygge, which is difficult to define, but essentially means the feeling of calm warm comfort and delightful satisfaction. That's what The Headlands Inn evokes. The staff knew my name before I'd met them, and the breakfast delivered to my room was superb. The Inn is within walking distance of many novel and quaint attractions. Pubs, a sock shop, toy store, book store and many other small businesses nearby create a great neighborhood vibe. This is a place to bring your loved ones. read more

We were just there last weekend for a stay and enjoyed our cottage. We have stayed at many B&Bs over the years so have many to compare to. The things we really liked about this one were: 1) The Breakfasts were outstanding. They were delivered to your room by singing delivery gals around 9 a.m. which by most B&B schedules is rather late for breakfast. There is no dining room which I sort of missed since it's fun to see and talk with other guests who are around. But the quality of the food itself was wonderful. 2) The fireplace all set to light and use which we did both nights. 3) The refrigerator in the room with juice and water provided. 4) The closeness to everything in this village (which they call it) was really nice for strolling and convenience. Didn't like so much: 1) The mattress on the queen-sized bed was awful and literally kept us awake both nights. 2) The spa tub shower was a challenge to use as it tended to leak water all over the floor during use - even when we tried to adjust the curtin every which way. 3) For some reason the only sink in the bathroom was clogged and would fill with water whenever you used it. I'm laying in a fluffy bed wearing a fluffy robe waiting for a delicious breakfast to be delivered to my room. I can't complain! I'm here with my man friend for our 2nd anniversary staying in the Strauss room. We got here Friday night (late...and they accommodated us). We had a wonderful breakfast sitting in front of our window with a nice view of the ocean, went out for a lovely day of Anderson Valley wine tasting, came back to tea and cookies in the common room and finally walked to a great dinner at Cafe Beaujolais. Top that off with the fireplace in our bedroom and it makes for one heck of a Saturday! The staff here has been great. I really can't complain! read more

I am a new mother and a new bride all wrapped up into one. Which means my husband and I got one night to ourselves on the lovely California North Coast. I am embarrassed to admit that I, a CA native, had never spent time in Mendocino. It was a strong wish of mine and so, for our one night honeymoon, my husband found and reserved the back cottage at The Headlands Inn. This place was everything I had hoped for, every sweet cottage B&B I had every envisioned. Just beautiful with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace to boot. Walking distance from everything in town and serving a delightful, scrumptious breakfast in bed on real china. Ladies and Gentleman, this is the real deal. Make no mistake, every penny spent here is well worth the cost. I want to come back and stay here every year. Not messing around here folks! read more

We just got back from staying at the Headlands Inn. We stayed in the Hideaway Cottage. Positives: -very clean -very close to everything - walking distance to bakeries, internet cafe, hiking alongside the Coast, hot yoga, cafes, shops, you name it. -they had a mini fridge and a microwave oven included in the room -accommodated us with a baby (and not a lot of Inns do this - most of them ask that children be over 12 to stay with them - they also provided a crib for our baby and that way we didn't have to pack ours and saved us some space in the car for other things) -since it was our Anniversary they did take the time to ask what the occasion was and included a bottle of Husch wine. Nice gesture on their part! -pretty welcoming/informative staff Negatives: -very expensive -breakfast was not provided. Breakfast is only provided if you stay at the actual Inn and they would not allow us to stay at the Inn because we had the baby. Vicious circle, I guess. -the bed was big, but horrible...it had this buldge right in the middle and was not very comfortable. Way too soft. -there was some construction going around outside - maybe at one of the neighboring properties, because the noise was awful when we wanted to take naps in the afternoon -the TV remote could not be operated from our bed; which sucked! -you're pretty much isolated in this cottage and have very little contact with anyone else unless you go to their "Parlor" in the actual inn for water, tea, etc... Would we stay here again? Not sure. Maybe if we didn't find any other place that allowed children. Our stay was not very memorable here. We have previously stayed at the Brewery Gulch Inn and that was truly memorable. So, we were a tad disappointed in this one. read more

After reading several Yelp Reviews & Tips I'm glad I made reservations and stayed here!! Thank you honest Yelpers!! The Wife & I stayed here for 2 nights and had such a wonderful time! This B & B definitely raised the bar! The Staff- Very helpful, patient and stayed out of our way. What I mean is, they didn't intrude or go out of there way to be bothersome or annoying...Are you Ok? The breakfast- 5 Star! I'm so sorry that I didn't take photos of the breakfast tray.. Breakfast was at your door between 8-9, and they would knock gently on your door to let you know that breakfast was ready. To acknowledge staff was a "Good Morning" to them.. We stayed in the Stofle Room. It is a large room located in the front of the house. With a super clean bathroom and shower!!!! The room was a table and chairs to eat at and also there was a fireplace, which we didn't use. Being next to the door, I didn't notice the traffic from others residing going in and out of the house. We didn't use any of the other rooms, but from 4-6 they hosted Tea time up stair in a lounge area. I will stay here again the next time I visit Mendacino! read more

Was fortunate enough to book 1 room here for a 1 night stay recently and as per other Yelpers LOVED IT. So, we loved this place so much, that we ended up booking 2 more nights here and loved each night as much as the next. Inn itself: very charming with wonderful bright rooms (window seats too!) and tastefully decorated with period-appropos furnishings Our room: very well decorated, wonderful comfy bed and decorated beautifully and tastefully. The fireplace was fantastic. Food: Beyond incredible. Wife & I were used to meeting other guests at B&B's but here they serve breakfast to your room! Which we loved, especially sitting on the wonderful windowseats... the breakfast was simply incredible. The owners/inn keepers were all super-nice, very accomodating, and very personable. I loved their 3 breakfasts' so much (and since i am into cooking as well) they even printed up reciepies for me to try some of their dishes at home! We look forward to many visits here in the future... read more

Wowza! Super friendly folks, clean, bright room (Annie's). Free wifi. High thread count sheets. And the best part... the food! Homemade cookies in the afternoon were the best I ever ate. I was excited about breakfast - and was wow'd again! Some kind of baked breakfast burrito and fruit and oats. Good coffee. Served in your room, so you can eat in your underware! It doesn't get any better! And - I felt like I got a good deal price-wise (about $100). In the heart of Mendocino, walk to everything, yet quiet. Beautiful garden. View of the water. My husband booked two nights here for our 1st anniversary, and it was wonderful. We stayed in the Wilson Room, which was perfect for us. There is a lovely private deck that gets all day sun (when it's out). We enjoyed our amazing breakfasts out here both mornings as well as a glass of wine in the afternoon. There is a small bistro table situated on the deck and the chair that faces the ocean has a veiw - it's the only spot you can see the ocean from in this room if that matters to you. The hosts were absolutely charming and had lots of great suggestions for our daily activities. All the guests were friendly. The front garden is lovely. The location is ideal for walking around the small town. The ONLY drawback for us (and this is strictly a personal thing) is that breakfast is served at 9 and there is no coffee or tea available in your room (or common area) before that. We are early birds by nature so we were up and about around 7 am each day. One of us walked to the bakery down the street for coffee (no way we can wait 2 hours for some caffeine) and then got ready for the day while waiting for breakfast to be delivered around 9. Not a big deal, and nothing in Mendocino opens early anyway, but if you want to get out early let the hosts know in advance. I read that they will get you coffee and pastries earlier if you need to leave. But if you don't absolutely have to I would recommend waiting for breakfast. It was very good. Also - there are no tv's (try it, you'd be surprised how much you DON'T miss it!) in the rooms. Just FYI. read more

My wife and I spent a night here for our one year anniversary, and we regret that it was only one night. They were very friendly and accommodating over and above. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was awesome! We will definitely be back, and it won't be for just one night!
