Yes this building is a little dated but that is absolutely normal for beach towns. John the property manager was wonderful, anytime you crossed paths he was super pleasant and you were always greeted with a smile and hello. The place is very dated and needs a good deep cleaning. Me and my friend stayed here during the Turkey Rod Run. It had the only two things we needed a bed and a hot shower. What an awful place to stay!! I expected much better due to how much different the photos look from reality. This so called "resort" attracts trailer trash, meth head clientele. People were smoking weed at the pool and in their hotel rooms. The easiest way to get away from it is to go to the beach. Every single towel had long, thick hair all up in it. There was also white fuzz that would come off of them and get on your clothes. We needed an extra bath towel and we called to see if we could get one. They said that their cleaning staff left for the day. They told us that there's a laundry room so that you can wash your own towels, look at the staff doing such a great job! That makes great sense for when you're dripping wet watching to get a towel cleaned! It honestly amazes me how many pubes I found in the corners of the room and bathroom. I'm not too sure if the maid was actually a maid either. The bathroom door is also lain up right against the toilet, so it's hard to get in the door if you're an average sized person. The windows don't look like they've been cleaned for the past ten years. Yes, I get it, the view is the nicest part of the place. It's pretty hard to enjoy the view regarding how trashy and low class that this place is. The pool had a lot of sand in it, which makes sense due to people washing off their smelly sand cheeks after going to the beach. I wouldn't waste the money on such a low quality experience. I hope that one day, this place will be tidied up and clean. I'm just here to share the truth of my experience and advising other travellers to send their money in a different direction. read more

Booked a ocean view room but when we arrived all we could see was the parking lot and the stairs. Then when we came back in from the beach our shower was full of sewage. 3 other rooms had the same issue. We had to vacate the room and never got to shower or anything. Management would not give us a full refund because they said we had use of the room most of the day. Issue started at 5pm and we were at the beach the whole day. I would never recommend this place. Horrible management and they could care less about the health and well-being of its guests. read more

Other than this being in the worst part of town, (very run down area), it was an okay stay. We had to ask for towels like 3 times and every time we called down, they were really shitty we needed more towels. Most of the maids were so sweet and we loved them! Pat honestly was the worst. She was a straight bitch to us. For example, my friend called down the very first time we needed towels, and Pat was the one on the phone. When he asked for the towels she got super shitty with him and said "You literally got here 2 days ago and you guys already need towels?" and he said "yes we do, there's four of us and we're not being nasty and using the same towel for 2-3 days" She literally goes, "well there's 2 bathrooms, ugh fine i'll bring them up" Then when she brought them up A WHOLE HOUR LATER and she literally handed them to me so shitty it was ridiculous. Not to mention her being homophobic as hell. The beach chairs provided literally were crappy and no one told us we had to bring them back before 9pm every night. Pat got mad and shitty with us because we didn't know. Another thing we didn't know was the passcode for the gate to the beach. Some random little girl told us what it was. Also, they were on "errands" 75% of the time so the lobby was locked. and Pat would smoke or take breaks for like hours. Again everyone was super nice staff wise but Pat. Pats a bitch. read more

2nd time in Daytona Beach 1st time stayin here. REALLY inexpensive place to stay and has all the things you need to just have a RELAXED time. Got da room right by the pool so as soon as I opened da door... Behold the pool and Beach. Couldn't have asked for more. The rooms aren't huge but it has your kitchen with fridge, stove, pots & pans plates just EVERYTHING that you need. The staff is really friendly. The poolside also has a grill so if you want to grill anything it is there for you to use. Had a good experience here and not far away from stores or bars. If I were to come back (which is doubtful) I would definetely come back here. read more

We stayed here for the weekend. I was super impressed at the cleanliness and how awesome the staff was. I didn't have any issues. We stayed in a private balcony room in the third floor. The view of the beach was there but it was not oceanfront. The oceanfront views are in rooms with shared balconies. Regardless, the stay was amazing and it's in a decent location from Daytona center. This place is horrible. Rented a room 8/15/2020 and "the resort" did not have enough parking for vehicles. Pat, the manager was rude & actually told us to "f*ck off" when we complained about her solution for parking was a parking garage 1 mile from the motel. If your booking through Expedia, Hotel.com BEWARE ratings do not reflect the property. Pat maybe the worst manager I have every encountered. She complained that the new owners messed up parking & I observed her being rude to another guest. She answered a call to the office, when our keycard didn't work in her robe. read more

We have stayed here about 6 years ago with Global Vacations, we enjoyed our visit so much we decided to return. This stay started out horribly!!! It seems as though the clientele they are trying to attract now is "ghetto". I was surprised by low loud, rude, and obnoxious the current guest were. Our first night here we only got about 2 hrs sleep. A drunken brawl erupted outside our window and lasted for a few hours. We called the front desk at least four times and the last call I threatened to call the police if immediate action was not taken. The situation had escalated to a physical altercation between the "ghetto people". The police finally arrived and knocked on our door looking for the unruly guest. After about another two hours, with the police trying to calm the situation the main drunk was removed from the property. However, we were awakened again at 5:30am with screaming and yelling between the remaining "brawlers." They were being evicted from the property too. It was a horrible start to our vacation!!! After the brawl my wife and family felt extremely unsafe. We tried to relocate to another Global property in the area but the front desk could not accommodate that request. They assured me it would not happen again. So with ambivalence we decided to remain on the property. The rest of our stay was fine and the night attendant was understanding and tried, to the best of his ability, to calm the situation for the other guest. Not sure if we will return to this property if Sea Shell resort aggressively tries to attract hotel discount website customers to fill vacant rooms. This place can be a nice and relaxing vacation destination if Sea Shell Resort enforces their policy and remove unruly guest immediately instead of taking hours and hours to address the situation. read more

We love staying at this location! The staff is always so polite and helpful. Our rooms are always fresh and clean. The cleaning staff are very professional, fast and effective. They have beach towels, chairs and boogie boards available for free at the front desk, and even bicycles for 2 hours. The views are like a postcard. I like that they allow smoking on the balconies only-that way they don't exclude anyone. The maintenance personnel are friendly and professional. I felt like I was home here. The pool is always clean and they have a garden bin for pool toys for the kids. I love that they have grills available on a first come first serve basis right on the pool deck at the beach end. The pool closes at 9 pm as to not disturb residents who wish to sleep and reopens at 8 am. This is our go to place to stay every time we visit Daytona as it is convenient to everything and is such a wonderful place to relax. read more

We stayed here for free as part of a timeshare bonus package. I must say as shady as the timeshare company was, I was skeptical of this place. Boy was I surprised, and would gladly pay to return. It's older, but very clean. Staff was some of the friendliest I've had anywhere. Beachfront with a nice pool. Gas grill was up to date and very usable, kitchenette was limited, but usable... We made breakfast with ease. Only drawbacks were the beds could have been updated, but the sheets and comforters were nice. For the price this a great value. read more

I thought this place was a great value for my money. I've stayed here a couple of times on a groupon deal and have another stay planned next month. The rooms are small but clean and they have a fridge, stovetop plus microwave for quick and cheap meals/snacks during your stay. There's a grill and outdoor seating area for more eating options. Parking is a little bit of a pain since the lot is tiny, so I just hopped in an uber when i wanted to go out. Decent sized pool and extremely convenient beach access. read more

I really think the views are worth the money. The value is great. To have a balcony right outside the sliding doors that makes you feel like you're on top of the ocean. We kept the doors open almost the entire time we were in the room. The rooms were fresh and clean. Had a very beachy feel to the decor. Although they need to replace all carpet with tile. Our room was like a very nice studio apartment. Plus, there's an adjoining room with what looks like a one bedroom apartment with couch/living area. The pool is warmer than other local pools so must be heated. The free use of beach gear and free parking is rare on any beachfront property anywhere. I'd say the only thing really missing for me is a staffed Tiki bar. That would make this place the bomb! Definitely plan to return, although Daytona is not our favorite. Oh, and side note, balconies are not private but we didn't have any problems with that. Great little jewel. And the staff is funny, sweet, overall super super friendly. read more

I took my family to Seashell beach club and was charged 100 of my deposit for cleaning the condo. I was told by one of the maids to leave the little bit of food in the fridge and a few dirty dishes. It was 10 am which is check out time so I did as the maid said left it. When I get home check my card I'm charged 100 of 150 deposit. I'm not impressed with that if I had not been told to leave it , it would be different. I was also supposed to have a ocean front condo got a side view. The trip was not real expensive but it cost a lot to take my family on vacation. I feel like they took advantage of me. I liked being on the beach but the condo and conditions were not worth the money. First vacation since Covid and feel cheated by money gouges. I will not go back and will tell any and everyone how this place is. No clean towels except on exchange days!!! no clean sheets . Just sadly disappointed read more

Dont stay. Forget it. Place is nice yes. I wont take that back from my review. However they tried to bait and switch me the 2nd time. Apparently, if you dont buy there timeshare package, they dont want you. However they claim on livingsocial buy unlimited vouchers and enjoy stay. So i got ripped off, i didnt buy a timeshare, which i didnt qualify for anyway, because i dont live with my girlfriend. I wouldnt buy one anyway, because I own properties, but its obvious since i didnt buy the timeshare, my time was no longer needed. Lame bait and switch. Be careful. Matter of fact im so dissapointed buy this property I will give you 10 dollars to book elsewhere if you can confirm reservation. Terrible business. read more

Wow! I was impressed! General Manager went above and beyond the call of duty! Room was available before check in! Right on the beach. Snacks and water awaiting you upon your arrival free of charge in the room. Boogie boards, chairs and umbrella are free to use and check out at front desk. Free beach towels available as well to use. Although it is not sitting right next to the boardwalk, what's a short distance for the more than reasonable price? It's a hidden gem.......would stay again. read more
