I found Tropical Manor on Yelp. We were supposed to go to Key West, but Hurricane Irma took no mercy on the keys. I made the reservation at Tropical Manor Mon 9/11. I was not aware that they didn't have power back yet.So I checked their facebook page and it said they hoped to be up & running on tues. So I posted a comment and sent an email trying to confirm that my reservation would still be ok for thurs night check in. Aileen sent me a wonderful email on Wednesday that they were open & excited that we were coming. They had put us in an Charming Cottage. So we arrived Thurs night and was so excited we chose Tropical Manor and not a big hotel corp. It was so cute & homey. Everyone was so friendly. We got a cottage, which is like a small apartment. Living room, full size fridge, kitchen, stove & microwave. Dining table. Stocked with dishes , cups, pots & pans. The bedroom had its own a/c unit in it. Super comfortable queen bed. The bathroom & the rest of the cottage was super clean. The pool is right overlooking the ocean. The have grills out their guests can use. Some rooms are pet friendly. We were impressed. Friendliness, cleanliness, everything was fantastic. We will definitely be returning here in the future. Thank you so much!

Great family friendly place and cute art work they have in every room that is unique. Great pool and grill area. Only giving it a 4 star because we have been multiple times and the guy at the front desk who is mainly there at night is rude every single time and my mother in law won't return because of how rude he is every time we go.

Been staying at the Manor since I was 6 months old, with my parents grandparents and great grandparents. My brother and I grew up there. I'm 27 now and I take my son there. It still feels exactly the same. I hope he can have the same great memories there I have. I love that it's smaller and more family friendly. Would highly recommend!

Quaint and old 60's style. Clean and fresh. A nice place to stay and easy access to the area.

This hotel was right across the street from Ocean Center where we would be headed the next morning. The hotel was massive having a south and north tower with 16 floors on each side. My roommate and I were ocean front on the 12th floor, nearly in the middle of the south tower. WOW, what a view! I didn't realize until arriving to the room there was no balcony. However, you could open a regular size sliding door to see and hear the ocean. There were bars like a balcony in front of the sliding door but you could only step out one foot on the tiny platform. I left the door open while I was reading and it was so peaceful to hear the ocean;) Parking was nearly two blocks away on the opposite side of the street and across the street from the entrance of Ocean Center behind a barbecue restaurant. This was a bit of a pain pulling the luggage that far. Plus you had to go up a steep incline to get into the lobby. I could have paid an extra $20 for parking overnight if I had used the hotels valet service. No thanks lol! We did get a discount for the parking lot because we were attending the conference. Instead of $35 it was $20 (with taxes $23). The hotel was a little dated. The light over the sink flickered. But did stop after the light was on for a little bit. The beds however were up to the Hilton standard as well as the pillows, nice and comfortable. I shared the room with a friend from church. I liked the feature of having an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. There was a mini fridge but no microwave. The desk chair needed replaced as the seat was very worn in. Service at the front desk was friendly and they helped answer all my questions about parking. It was a little confusing because you didn't have a ticket and I couldn't figure out how I would get out of the lot when the conference was over the next day. But the front desk attendant advised they would have someone at the exit gate to open it when the conference let out. And they did;) Thanks for a comfortable night's sleep Hilton! I would stay here again if attending a conference that included a discount code as this hotel was pretty pricey.

The water also does not go away at the sinks quickly. Really a cleanliness issue. The bath tub is broken too. Also the hotel can get some upgrade: it's really run down. Swimming pool can get an upgrade too. There is a mini fridge for you to put drinks. The beds are ok but can be better maintained. Carpet can be cleaned better. Will probably not come back to this location. Parking is $55 for valet. Opposite outdoor parking is $35 with in and out privilege and $25 per day for no in/out.

The place isn't overall luxurious but you get what you pay for. it's definitely affordable and great for families. The only cons are I wish they cleaned the rooms, but our entire stay they didn't-- perhaps we were supposed to ask but I've never had to do that at hotels recently (maybe due to COVID?) Also the shower water pressure was terrible. Nice, hot water but terrible water pressure in our room.

Pros: -Balconies that overlook the ocean -Close to some shops and restaurants (short driving distance) -Pool (note it goes over 10 feet deep, so if traveling with littles, please be extra cautious) -On site restaurant and bar Cons: -The building is not in prime condition and desperately needs a face lift -The rooms are very standard -Weather stripping on our door was almost nonexistent, allowing this loud whistling sound constantly unless you put a towel at the bottom of the door. -Water pressure? "what you talkin' bout smalls". A quick 10-15 minute shower was extended because the lack of pressure. -The onsite restaurant is mediocre (specific review of it posted directly on it's page) -Daily housekeeping advertised, but we were skipped and had to ask for fresh towels The front desk staff had a mix of good and bad. Some suffered from RBF and the inability to smile, while others were great with greeting and showing you were welcome.
