Oh, how disappointing…read more After a two year absence, we were so looking forward to sinking our teeth into a Pepper Creek pizza again. How things have changed. I noted that there was the unmistakable flavour of a cheap barbecue sauce in the tomato base, as well as some form of hot sauce. These two elements are lamentable on their own, but a disaster in combination if not specifically requested, or anticipated. With each mouthful, all I could taste was the hideously cheap barbecue sauce overpowering the rest of the pizza's toppings. A very, very sad ending to our beloved pizza-eating experiences at the Pepper.

On the flip side, the gnocchi came in a very generous portion and was absolutely delicious; pillowy, comforting, and satisfying. The pear pizza was such a pleasant surprise: sweet and savory, with a thin, crisp crust that held everything together perfectly. We ended the meal with the chocolate torte and amaretti crème brûlée, and both were exceptional: decadent, well-textured, and not overly sweet. Her family is there with her and I wanted to make sure that they were fed as the hospital cafeteria was closed. Normally, Panago doesn't take payment over the phone... I explained the situation and they completely understood and put me through to a supervisor. They also did the due diligence of calling the location to make sure that they were still open. The Squamish location was hoping to close early. But, Upon hearing the situation, they decided to stay open to fill the order. In such a heartbreaking time, people came together to take care of people. My heart is so very thankful for all of the kindness tonight! You all made a tough night much easier.
