I would seriously AVOID this place they are scammers. My husband bought a Rolex as a gift for the birth of our son and since week 1 this watch has not worked. Despite sending it back multiple times and these guys saying it has been fixed, every single time it comes back still broken. He (not sure which of the guys I spoke with Mike or Emanuel) acts like he is going out of his way and doing us a favor by trying to fix it which is insane given he sold it to us for about 12K and IT DOES NOT WORK. I will also note it took about 2 months to get it back the first time we sent it back to him. There is no doubt in my mind they knew it was faulty when they sold it and he continues to act confused on why the watch still doesn't work. He then had the nerve to say to me with all due respect perhaps you're not looking after it well, even though he knows since we got this watch it has not worked. Their offer came in less than HALF the three other offers I received. MAKE SURE TO GET A SECOND OPINION! They have messaged my personal phone to get me to remove this. After looking at nearly 70 different stones at multiple family "hook ups" and just simply not being blown away I was ready to settle on a particular diamond. Some late night Chrono24 sleuthing made me stumble onto Sea Wave Diamonds. During a trip to look at some diamonds at another retailer on 47th, I decided to stop in and look at the watch I was eyeing online. Over the 3 or so months of searching, I was used to the feeling of walking into a jeweler and being treated as though my non-six-figure purchase is not worth the jewelers time, or, even worse, that the jeweler is trying to take advantage of a customer's lack of knowledge or experience. Constantly being told, "that imperfection won't be visible," "this is a great stone" and "it may be gone tomorrow." Only for the retailer to countlessly try to upsell stones that were bigger, clearer, or brighter obviously at higher prices. Greeted by Emanuel (one of the owners) I instantly had the polar opposite experience. Walking into SeaWave, I mentioned that I may be looking for a diamond while admiring the watches I was looking at online. Instead of jumping down my throat with every sales tactic, I was treated like an educated consumer, whom SeaWave wanted to earn as a customer, and not just sell them some jewelry. After several text messages, being very particular on what I was looking for, and what I would be willing to sacrifice, Emanuel was able to bring out several stones that were dead on to my specs, just substantially more brilliant than the others I have looked at. If this was basketball those were the three pointers. When he pulled out the final stone which was one he thought would be perfect, matching my color and FAR exceeding my size and clarity requirements, for basically the same money... blindfolded, behind-the-back, half-court swish! But seriously, I walked in there to drool over some watches, with no intention of buying a single thing and ended up discovering a gem (get it?). Both Emanuel and his brother Alex are gentlemen that know the craft, know the business, and understand the customer. I obsess over details and am a perfectionist at heart and SeaWave dotted every one of my i's and crossed each and every t. Not only have they been able to create the most perfect ring imaginable for us, they truly have customers for life, and everyone will be pointed their direction because of their prices, respect, and integrity. Sea Wave Diamonds advertised an 18K Gold Rolex Daytona as without defect and their photographs showed no defects. Upon receiving the timepiece, I identified a significant gash/dent to the watch case - on Sea Wave Diamonds advertisement on Chrono24, this area was blurred and out of focus or avoided all together in other photos. Sea Wave Diamonds acknowledged the damage and offered to repair it "free of charge" if I brought the Rolex from Austin to New York City. Sea Wave Diamonds refused to pay for shipping its damaged watch for repair - he cited his profit margin as to why he would not pay for shipping. How about the $45,000 I paid for the watch? He said he would find someone in Austin to repair the watch but never messaged me with options despite asking. The repair of the defect would have to involve laser welding 18K gold - it is not a simple polish/refinish job. I request reimbursement to complete that job, which is $900. I would never consider purchasing an item from Sea Wave Diamonds again. Profit is its #1 priority, he falsely advertises expensive jewelry, and he does not keep its word on what he says he will do. read more

My fiancé got my engagement ring out of town (we live in NYC) and it was a bit too loose, causing the stone to keep turning down. I wanted to get it resized but really didn't know any jewelers in the area. A trusted friend said she and her husband got all their rings from Seawave and that they were incredible so I decided to check them out. I went in, explained my situation and mentioned I was referred by a friend. Mike Arda was so helpful and patient with me. First we measured my ring's current size and tried to see if a size smaller would work. Unfortunately the next size down was too small so he said he could do two sizing beads on the bottom of the ring which will both keep the diamond upright and also make it slightly tighter. He said normally they don't do outside jobs like this (since my ring came from another jeweler) but because I was sent by a past client, he said they would do the job (and do it in house) and for a pretty reasonable price ($90). My ring is white gold and Mike explained to me that they would also "clean up" my ring since when you heat up gold, it changes color slightly and he wanted to make sure the beads matched the band. I dropped off the ring on a Wednesday evening and it was ready to go the next day! I tried it on and it fit perfectly! I was so relieved to see it all worked out and now I won't have to worry about the ring turning or losing it from being too loose! Seawave was efficient, straightforward, knowledgeable and reliable! He spent a great deal of time with me walking through the options, showing me pros and cons, and pulling other pieces he had to give examples. They do all custom work at sea wave and it's definitely worth it compared to the standard setting you'll get anywhere else down the street. The basket for my oval diamond was perfect - low setting like I wanted and spaced so the wedding band won't collide with it. The pave up the sides is beautiful and the diamonds high quality. Emanuel (owner) is a true gentleman; honest and true - which is very hard to come by in the 47th Street Diamond District. I highly recommend Sea Wave Diamonds when shopping for a reputable trustworthy establishment with excellent customer service. As a first time jewelry purchaser, I was a little nervous. However, I spent several months researching the 4C's online and understanding what my fiancé was looking for (Note: I highly recommend using online resources to educate yourself beforehand and triangulate what stone you want, as it will make your life 1000x easier). As part of my research endeavor, I visited no less than 10 other jewelers in the Diamond District and they were all (i) hard sellers or (ii) rude / obnoxious or (iii) not very helpful to educate or provide guidance. We worked with Emanuel to create a customized Emerald engagement ring. He was reasonably priced, well educated, showed stones in my budget, patient and gave important tips (e.g. which 4C levers to pull / certain placement / setting nuances). We ended up buying the stone and custom setting as a one-stop-shop. The Emerald engagement ring came out AMAZING - she said yes! I plan on going back for the wedding bands.
