For the main curse we both had a whole lobster which i'm ok to work with but my lazy husband only want to have lobster tail but they didn't have anything closer. I ended up have to cracked all shell of the lobster which i didn't mind but I may have to open a Lobster farm to serve my huband who only wants to to eat lobter tale for his laziness. LOL. The place seem to be busy and lots of worker tend to avoid you when you need something which was bad. My first approached was very polite and looking around to see anyone available or eyes contact with me. After no one avoiding, so I start to call when someone passing by. I understand if you are busy but communication is must. Good server should at least tell the customer they saw it and they will be back. I don't mind waiting as long as they know they will come back. This seems like a very popular place so I decided to give it a try. We got sat down but they didn't provide any menu (not even the QR code menu) or any utensils. Happy hour menu $1.50 each for oysters - nothing crazy $9 painkiller - this is literally pina colada $8 wings - it's decent but they gave us only 1 flat piece out of the total 5 pcs The drinks from happy hour don't really seem worth it because while it's cheaper, they also use a smaller glasses. The fish from fish and chips was rubbery af and the slaw was not good. The lobster from lobster roll seems to be a bit on the chewy side. It's impossible to get the server's attention because they seem to be understaffed. ALSO, this place has a credit card surcharge fee. Like wtf is even this?! I've been here few times now, and I think that might be enough. Out of everything I've tried, the fish tacos are the best value, in addition to being very delicious. Lots of flavor and surprisingly a great batter. The fish and chips hasn't been consistent. A different batter is used for the fish and chips, it's much harder than the tempura batter used for the tacos. One time I had them and they were fairly tasty, and most recently, I got them again but the flavors were just not there. The fries are also a little soggy. The same goes for the lemonade. One time it was fantastic and today it was grossly artificial tasting. There are other appetizers on the menu, such as wings and cauliflower bites, but they are very underwhelming. The wings tasted kinda off and Buffalo cauliflower bites were basically just burnt cauliflower with Buffalo sauce poured on top, also strangely watery. The service isn't bad, I don't leave feeling like I was ignored or disrespected, but it's not service I'm necessarily blow away by. Everyone has always been very nice, just no one has really gone out of their way. The lobster Mac was really good and also had a decent amount of lobster inside. I'd definitely recommend trying it. From the Raw bar we had the Shrimp Ceviche and Oysters. The ceviche was fresh and came with warm tortilla chips. For our main course we had the Sea Bass and Whole Lobster with arugula and mashed potatoes. Although both places deserve praise for their customer service, food, and ambiance, the Sea Wolf in Williamsburg has better views (waterfront). However, I will say, the community that surrounds Sea Wolf of Bushwick has better people watching and vitality. I can't say enough good things about Sea Wolf of Bushwick. Brunch was fast, fresh, and fantastic. Our order came out quickly, and the follow-up service was prompt and polite. I recommend you try one of their unique cocktails, along with a few oysters. The coolest seafood bar in NYC! At least thats how I felt at Sea Wolf last evening. The place had more of a beach feeling then a City Bar. Very relaxed great vibe, great service and amazing seafood. They are running an Oysters' special this month at $1.50 for the East Cost Osyters. I gladly took full advantage of it. The oysters were the freshest, I didn't have to ask for the Hoseredish and the lemon.. Great cold beer helped wash it down. Totally loved the clam chowder and the Lobster. When I am not out with the husband, I get to go check out awesome seafood spots (he is allergic to shellfish). This gave me the perfect opportunity to hit up Sea Wolf. Automatically, upon walking in, we were asked for I.D.s and Vax Cards. We sat in the little patio area outside which does not require you to be vaccinated. It was a sunny, cold, day. In the outdoor, but enclosed, patio area, it didn not feel as cold as it was outside. I still kept my jacket on, but with the sun beaming on the seated area, we were totally fine! The area fits 3 nice size tables. I went on a Saturday, where they had the brunch menu available. No paper/physical menus here. They use a QR code, which I am always a big fan of! And boy what a menu they have! Once again, I went through my internal struggle of what to pick, but finally landed on the Salmon BLT with a side of Old Bay Fries. But before I can delve into this sandwich, let me tell you about our starter. We were STARVING, so we decided to start with the Salmon dip with grilled naan bread. When it came out (which it came out very quickly) we were a bit surprised at the presentation. A dip was placed in a small plastic cup, next to the grilled naan. I guess we were expecting a warmed crockpot with gooey dip. I am actually happy that this isn't what we ordered. The dip was DELICIOUS and ironically refreshing. The naan was grilled perfectly. My only critique is that they did not have to salt the naan. There was enough salt in the dip to compensate. We ran out of naan, but I saved the dip for my fries and I am so glad I did. While my friend got steak and eggs, I enjoyed my Salmon BLT. The Salmon was cooked just right and the bacon wasn't too greasy. I devoured that along with some of the fries. I was not able to finish my fries, so I got them wrapped up and they heated very well in my air crisper. The service was impeccable, especially for being in the outdoor seating area. I dont know what happened to this place. This restaurant was one of the best I've had last year and today it's one of the worst. I came here for my birthday brunch and I'm upset. The lobster roll was dry and the corn on the cob wasnt flavorful at all. They just smothered it in chipotle sauce. It boggles my mind. They had the same menu last year and it just doesnt taste good. We ordered the crab cake which was delicious! Only negative part was that the sea salt was over powering and hit us all like a brick wall. For the first time in my life I ordered chicken and waffles. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it was overall very good. The butter and syrup came in plastic containers (on top of the food which didn't seem very sanitary) and the chicken to waffle ratio wasn't equal. They also weren't cut up well, and since we only had butter knives, we spent way more energy than necessary trying to get them to bite-sized pieces. Like using child scissors to cut glass. The Salmon Tartare was fine but unremarkable, as was the Shrimp Cocktail. Drink-wise, the Starboard Haze is a nice choice if you're abstaining from ethanol for the night. It's so rare to find raw clams and mussels for me so I was super pleased and excited for this! - fried clam strips - best clam strips I've had in a while because this was fried perfectly without the extra breading. You can still get the chewiness of the clams that I love - lobster roll - probably the only thing I was meh about. This review is based on my experience from September: My friend loves this place so i was super excited for us to go for happy hour on a Friday afternoon! It was still super warm out and perfect for outdoor dining. I made an indoor reservation though only because at the time, you could not make reservations for their outdoor seating, it's based on first come, first serve. They have massive windows and one wall is completely open so the space felt very ventilated. COVID regulations: I completed a contact tracing form and they checked my friend's and I temperature and we sat at a high table and was able to experience the glow of the setting sun! The servers wore masks and you had to wear a mask if you ever moved from your table. Even the bartenders wore masks! Food; Mac and cheese is my favoriteeeee meal in the whole world (well, pasta is) but i love a good Mac and cheese situation. But this lobster Mac and cheese is to die for. There were HUGE pieces of lobster in it. Very fresh and cheesy and gooey and mmm, i still dream of it at night. My friend had their lobster and a burger and also, BOMB. So I ate half of seafood tower and it caused me sever food poisoning reaction. I've been throwing up all night and all morning, feeling very weak all day today and can't have anything besides just water. Lobster was completely uncooked. I think that the decor, the lights, and just the overall setting really works and suits the spot and location well. I think that the menu is definitely pricey, but it is seafood-based. It is the best of both worlds which is land and sea, which I love. I feel like the menu definitely has some thing for everybody. I tried the salmon BLT because those are two of my loves in one sandwich. It definitely did not disappoint. The tartar sauce was homemade and you could tell. It was extremely fresh.
