This was my second time going to this place. The first time the food was ok....the fried shrimp was too salty, the grits was not hot and sort of stiff. Once I was done and paid the bill they told me my card was declined so I gave them another card. Turns out the transaction had actually went through on the alleged declined card as well as the 2nd card so now I was charged twice and needed a refund. Being black owned I decided to visit again with a group of 5.... We showed up for brunch on a Sunday with a 12noon reservation and shortly after arriving another party arrived. A woman, 3 kids and 2 guys (1 drunk and 1 with his shorts down to his knees showing his undies). The kids were running through the restaurant bumping into our chair, the adults never sat down to eat, they stood up the whole time eating their food and hugging each others butt cheeks and the other dude smoked weed in front of the open windows and now the entire restaurant smells like weed. Usually I don't leave reviews but I'm gonna give some suggestions when a person finds hair in their food just a common courtesy to give a discount especially when they didn't make a big deal of that and it is very unsanitary. My cousin and I first time here and I'll have to think hard and long to think if I'll ever visit again. Drinks and music were good though may come for that and just make sure I'm full before reaching. The service was horrible. Almost a hour for 2 drinks and it wasn't crowded . The calamari disgusting the crab cake egg rolls were good. The boil bag was a joke, No sauce, no potatoes and no corn, since when???? My entree took so long to come out my wife was finished with her "boil bag", but there was barely anything in it. We arrived in the building it was cold. They had one person working the tables. We arrived well within happy hour and the drink order seemed like they were intentionally dragging out the time so that we were able to order only one round of drinks. Then we ordered happy hour appitazers and once again the food took forever and to add insult. The food came out piece plate by plate all drrifferent time. So we had to say good bye to eating all the food at one time together. Our entree orders once again were slow to get to table. Then they had no pineapple for the so called pineapple rice. We nixed that then here we are now still waiting for entree. The phone recording said open at 2 P.M, however when I arrived. The door was locked, lights were on and the sign said Open. They eventually opened at 3:30. I was seated and the tables were visibly greasy and not properly cleaned the night before. Two more patrons came and immediately left but I decided to stay and give it a chance. Before my party arrived, I ordered the wings....Those were fried in old grease. My party of one arrived and we ordered our main entree's. I ordered the Grilled Salmon, Mashed and Broccoli. For it to be a seafood eatery, it definitely gave frozen fish vibes. The taste of the salmon was okay but the mash potatoes were instant and had no taste. My guest ordered the jerk chicken skewers with rasta pasta. The skewers were good but the pasta was utterly disgusting! The bill comes...$162 with a 20% gratuity....Are you kidding me! Love the atmosphere here! The drinks are on point too! If you like sweet drinks, have Lady hook you up, if you want something strong, have Chevonne whip somethin up for you! The bar has all the top shelf liquors! They also serve wine. As for the food........those salmon bites are somethin else! They're fried to perfection! The crab egg rolls are like a crab cake in egg roll form. FIRE! I love the small bits of crunch I get from the bell peppers. I've only stopped by for the soft opening, but I've definitely had my girl bring home take out on the nights I work late lol! This is definitely gonna be one of my new go to spots. Just left the restaurant. Unfortunately I can't support this restaurant again. The Latina server was super sweet and tried her best. We ordered lobster bisque and calm chowder soups which were good. That what the one star is for. Still Overpriced for very small cups of soup. The fried shrimp was soooooo salty I had to send it back. They took it off the bill. The skirt steak was less than the size of a dollar bill and just as thin. Cold corn on the cob and tasted like boxed mashed potatoes The lemon pepper wings were average but also salty. The speaker above us sounded like it was broken and had a high pitched squeal. For a new establishment with customers complaining I would have hoped they would have come to each table and addressed the issues. Came here to take my bf out as it's been a while. And honestly was so impressed by what we seen on Instagram. When we got there it was empty so we figured they would have everything. My bf wanted the pineapple seafood fried rice, to which our server came back said they didn't have. I ordered the salmon and mash, but was not expecting a cut of fish to be so skinny. I then asked for the ramen boil, and our server forgot the RAMEN! All in all, the ambiance was nice. But no reason why my bill was almost $300 for mid service and food. And most of what we've seen on IG, they don't have listed on the menu. Not to mention, just a shot is $18?? We were very disappointed but just decided to make the best of it. read more

Literally could've taken $200 and shredded it if I wanted to waste money. Sat down, ordered, another party comes in at least 20 minutes after us and received their food at least another 20 minutes before us. The answer to the delay was "wait you didn't get your food yet?" It wasn't even crowded enough for the poor service or to not realize we weren't served. The seafood in the boil came out COLD but the OIL on the bottom was hot. Not an ounce of flavor to the OIL. I went there on Sunday. This happened to be karaoke Sunday the ambiance was amazing. The DJ, I believe his name was architect made everyone feel comfortable taking a turn to" sing ". The food was amazing I had the fish and grits my wife had the same with a lobster tail that was fried to perfection. The bartender was also good as well multitasking singing karaoke while mixing drinks. I will definitely go back on a Sunday to eat, drink and sing or try to sing at least chef Sylvia and her staff are amazing. read more

Me and my friends came here for brunch ... we was seated as soon as we walked in but it took 40 minutes for anyone to come to our table to even get us water or anything. Then when the waitress comes she asked us if we are ready to order we told her we didn't even have any menus . So she goes and gets the menus for us so now we looking at the menu and then she proceeds to tell us " oooo we not doing brunch anymore " so we asked why she said because we are short staffed . Then I asked about the hookah because I see patrons smoking it I asked about it and then she also proceeds to tell me ooo we cutting the hookah because we are short staffed today . Stopped in last night without a reservation and we're greeted with a smile and we're seated quickly . Drinks were great , bartender did a heavy pour . We all enjoyed the food and waitress was pleasant . My only comment would be that I don't care for the QR code menu . It's hard to read , scroll , re read etc . We would have definitely ordered more if we had a real menu to look at . Something to consider. Over all pretty good read more

Ambiance- was okay the staff had a messy table in the back, random people were appearing from the back and trickling into the restaurant. it made me a little concern in terms of who was cooking and plating the food and we're they washing their hands. The music when we arrived was a little loud but ok, then a DJ arrived and the music went from an 8 to 100 I yelled at my friend after that. Service- was a little rocky. our server was young and had an attitude problem, very bi-polar. if you asked too many questions she got pissed. The owner brought out shots of Tequilla and put on our table but didn't ask if we wanted shots. I'm drinking dark liquor and my friend is drinking vodka. Food-the was trash, and extremely over priced. the egg roll was too mush and had no flavor. The muscles were undercooked so most of them did not open up. They do not clean the shrimp which is disgusting. The shrimp was in tact. they didn't even make an attempt. The snow crab was cold but the sauce was hot so it warmed up the parts that were in the sauce. The food came out in a freaking glass with a damn sparkler. That was a no for me. we had to hold the food and pour the sauce out of the bottom of the glass to dip. The butter started to harden as we ate. They clearly do not use fresh garlic and nothing had any flavor to it. I like to eat seafood and still smell and taste the garlic hours after eating. I would recommend blending the garlic butter and adding some old bay to the water and feeling the damn food and/or checking the temperature after all it is seafood and if not cooked properly could make you very sick. Price- the food was overly priced and yes the portion is a lot but I would suggest making the portions smaller and lowering the price. Why do I need to get food for 4 it's a boil i do not want to share it. It's supposed to be personal not for sharing. 2 drinks that were poorly executed an appetizer and a signature boil and the bill was $200. So glad we ordered 1. We did not eat any of the shrimp or mussels. We packed it to go so they would not feel bad and threw it in the trash outside. We drove 1.5 hrs to support a black female owned establishment but it was a no for me. If they don't make some changes and fast they will be out of business very quickly. All in all-train the staff on how to provide service with a smile, lose the attitude, and yes a customer is allowed to ask as much questions as they want. 2. Reduce the portions and lower the price. 3. Add some flavor or some salt, try fresh garlic. 4 clean the shrimp before cooking it. 5. Let the food reheat properly before serving. 6. lose the cocktail glass it's cute but not for seafood we need to be able to eat over the food and dip in the sauce. Sorry I didn't have any photos but the reel on instagram was great at bringing patrons in but if they don't make some changes they are going to have to take their instagram down cause the bad comments will ruin them. my friends and i went here for happy hour at 6 pm. we all ordered a "snack" and my friends each got a drink. it was 6:37 when i told the waitress never mind on the drinks. we probably received our food about 5 minutes later. the mozzarella sticks do not come with fries as stated. it seemed as if they purposely ignored us and prolonged our order so that we couldn't order more for happy hour if we wanted. the shrimp tacos only have shrimp and lettuce topped with FRENCH salad dressing... read more

I ordered coconut shrimp and got regular fried shrimp from a bag from Coscos ...5 to be exact served wirh French fries..for $18.....my boyfriend ordered lemon pepper chicken wings..also 5 pieces of wings with fries for $18. The wings were so dark fried. You can tell they used dirty oil and they were so salty he couldn't eat them. He sent them back. And no one over 5o wants to eat dinner listening to loud Rap music. Figured why not go out on a decent Friday night to support an establishment that quite often pops up on my timeline. Well again will I go to this place. The drink was weak. The food made me sick almost instantly to the point I thought I damn near had food poisoning. I started off with the Trio which was extremely mediocre. The salmon tastes sour as if I had been left out way too long prior to cooking it. And the calamari tastes like it came straight out of the box. To top it off when the boil arrived only having to remind the staff 25 minutes later that my table still never got anything was beyond disgusting. The crab legs look like scraps that were left over from the fish market and they were completely cold. The pan came with a piece of corn, on red potato, and full of dark grease. I asked for medium spice the food was bland. I will never again visit this establishment. The service was trash, the food lacked everything. And the quality was not there at all. Needless to say I felt so sick before I left and couldn't finish my food, nor did I want to take any of it to go. I had to leave with my coat off in the middle of winter that's how awful I felt, and as soon as I stepped outside, I immediately threw up. The food here is really good especially if you like food with some soul, but not too salty. I'd ask that you guys provide salt and pepper at the tables maybe. I love the decoration here. The posters and neon signs were cute! Lady at the bar was attentive, funny and personable! I felt as if my homegirl was fixing my drink, which is something I like when going out for drinks. It's always nice to have a friendly bartender. My server was the manager, Destiny this time. She introduced herself, seated us, and served us. Amazing. It seems as if she has a lot of experience although this is a new restaurant. She made sure to check in on us to see if we needed something. Whenever we thought we needed something, she was already on her way to see if we were okay. We had Andrea the first time and she was so nice to us! Talkative, but after a drink or 2, I matched her energy. Like Lady at the bar, Andrea was very attentive, funny, and personable. She seems dedicated to her position and she's hard working. I like how she didn't smother us too much like they do at other restaurants. Nothing worse than getting your food and the waiter coming back in 5mins asking if we liked everything. Each time we've been here there was just the one server, which is understandable for a brand new restaurant. For this size establishment, they probably only need 2 more Destiny's or Andrea's to serve. Lady seems as if she has the bar already on lock, but a little help would probably alleviate stress and confusion, but that's just what I've seen at other new establishments. Con: At one point, things got pretty busy I guess, so we tried to flag down another staff who seemed to be preoccupied with her meal as well. She sat own the entire time we dined. I didn't see anyone else take a seat while we were there. She sat the whole time. Let's just say we ended up going to the bar ourselves for what we needed. The server was buy so we didn't want to bother her for something small that the other woman could've gotten for us. I believe we just needed extra napkins or something small, but she ignored us, which was unprofessional. This was just the first experience with her. Secondly. We were up front and heard the way she ordered the staff around. Some of the things she told them, she could've done herself I believe. I'm guessing she's another manger there. For about 8mins, I watched her give orders to staff around her. A customer inquired about something and she directed them to another staff member as she sipped her cup.
