We had a really enjoyable evening here celebrating my mom's birthday! The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We started with the ceviche, which was very good. I personally would have liked a little more lime, and I think having a spicy option would be a great touch. A little more of the base/sauce on the plate would have made it even better. We also ordered the chaufa and the half chicken, and both were excellent. My mom had the salmon, which she really enjoyed, and my daughter ordered the lomo saltado. The lomo was tasty, although I felt it could have come with a little more meat considering the price. Our waitress Odimar was awesome and really helped make my mom's birthday dinner special. We also had the chance to meet the owner, who came by the table to say hello -- very nice touch! Although... you did promise us shots! It's okay, we'll collect them next time! The entertainment was another highlight of the night. They had live music with Ricky Roma, and WOW -- he was so good! We were seated immediately (we had a reservation) and they asked if we wanted to be closer to the music (a fabulous acoustic musician!) or further away. We opted for further away so we could chat but we were still able to hear the music. Our waiter was amazing and so friendly. Asked if we spoke Spanish. Explained the specials (including the date night menu which is a pre fixe). We ended up ordering from the regular menu as there was an app I had my eye on that was not part of the date night special. The anticucho with cow was sadly unavailable so we opted for the chicken which was delicious. The sauces they use are spicy and hit the spot. For my entree I had the branzino which was massive and the side of tostones were a nice touch. For drinks I had the coconut drink which was creamy and strong, my partner had the white sangria which was refreshing and would be great on a hot evening. Popped into this gorgeous restaurant in Long Island for an early dinner. It was super beautiful in there , the paintings were amazing Carlos our server was awesome and funny. I will say the attendance to detail in the decor is amazing and my daughter and I happen to love Peruvian food, so we were really excited when she picked this place for her birthday celebration. At the front of the restaurant, a small stage with a talented singer, belting out familiar songs while you dine. The menu isn't long, offering traditional Peruvian dishes. We dined on the Lomo Saltado, a stir fry of steak, veggies, French fries accompanied by white rice, the Arroz Chaufo con Vegetales, a vegetable fried rice topped with avocado and an order of the rotisserie chicken. The chicken was juicy, the skin was crisp, and the sauces on the side added more flavor. The fried rice was seasoned well. My guest really enjoyed their Lomo Saltado, but found the soggy fries not so nice. The service here is fine. Not bad, but not great, I find that when gratuity is included servers don't put in the extra effort. Four stars really for the prices, the price point just seemed too high for portions and what the dishes consisted of.
