They do carry some local makers (soaps, wood cutting boards, ornaments, etc). But there is plenty of large scale manufacturing items. Prices are mid range - not terribly expensive but you probably won't find any great deals either. They are a popular Christmas treat in France, with each package typically containing an assortment of different flavors and a small message inside, like a fortune cookie. One popular brand is Révillon, yet absent from the shelves at World Market. I appreciate the Bonne Maman jams Advent Calendar but that's it. There's a tremendous opportunity here for World Market to have more French chocolate and candy offerings. The Provence is famous for their nougats and they would be an excellent addition to the assortment. Looking for a cool gift idea, pop-up Christmas card, English shortbreads or KitKats from Asia, World Market has it but they don't have any Papillotes from France.
