I completely understand that businesses have closing hours, and I respect that employees want to finish their shifts on time. However, asking a customer to leave just moments after handing them their food and without any prior warning created a very uncomfortable and inhospitable experience. It felt less like a reasonable closing procedure and more like we were being rushed out the door despite having just been served. A little communication or a few minutes of grace while my husband finished in the restroom would have made all the difference.
