The onboarding process seemed focused on getting large downpayment, signing paperwork, and making commitments before I even understood what I was buying. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Dr Breen was recommended to me by a friend who had tremendous success with his program. I met with Dr Breen after doing a complete panel of bloodwork on Jan 3rd, 2017. The office is calming and professional with a super friendly staff. Dr Breen spent over 2 hours with me going over my bloodwork, and explained it to me in detail in a simple, no-nonsense way. I was sick. I knew I needed help, but my regular doctor would only spend 5 minutes with me and just prescribe medication. Dr Breen put me on his program of supplements and hormones and set up a plan for me for an entire year. Dr Breen was amazing. Next I met with his nutritionist, Cat Arias. Cat has a special talent of showing tremendous care and concern for people. She made me feel so comfortable in every way, and told me that all of my troubles were reversible. Cat put me on a nutrition plan and proceeded to meet with me every week. She taught me so much about so many things. Diet and nutrition, gratitude, meditation, and to stay positive. I was able to call or text her when I had questions, and she would recommend healthy restaurants for all of my travels. My results. Pre-April 2018: I'm bipolar with severe depression and anxieties. Latuda kept me going, but I wasn't getting my life started. I had no motivation, self-love or confidence - I believed I was worthless. I was jealous that most people could be fully functional while contributing to society. I was so consumed by my fears/anxieties that I wouldn't challenge myself and become the person that I was envious of. One day my husband told me about Joe Rogan's podcast with Dr. Mark Gordon (#1056); A shot of testosterone "fixed" depression/PTSD with Veterans so that they could finally start their lives. As Dr. Gordon was far too busy to take new clients after his podcast, his office referred me to Dr. Breen. Step 1 was getting my bloodwork. A few weeks later I would have my first meeting with Dr. Breen and his team, go over my bloodwork, discuss a plan tailored to my needs and then discuss payment for the program. (Heads up it's two hours of a lot of information. You will feel overwhelmed by the end of it. If you aren't great with numbers/money, don't feel like you need to pay for anything right then and there. To me it felt kind of scammy to talk money after being worn down by information, but I also didn't speak up.) Meeting with Dr. Breen: I don't trust people but with the support of my husband we went and met with Dr. Breen and his team. The actual meeting was with Dr. Breen and Zach(NP). Dr. Breen is assertive, confident, very knowledgeable and seemed to understand where I was going wrong based on my bloodwork and how he could help me. My coping mechanism for stress/depression since I was 8 yrs old has been food. I have been overweight/obese since then, overeating the junk food diet. I was 5'7" 206 lbs but I didn't go to this office to lose weight - I went to get a shot of testosterone to fix my depression; I realized during the meeting that I wasn't going to get that because my issue could possibly be fixed if I fixed my gut health (linked to depression) and for once took care of my body. Dr. Breen explained my situation to me and how he wanted to help heal me with supplements, a nutritional education, and fitness. Looking at my bloodwork Dr. Breen was suspicious that I may have the MTHFR gene mutation and needed to do the blood test for that (LabCorp confirmed that I had the mutation). Because of Dr. Breen's discovery, I have the missing piece to my puzzle and can properly take care of my body. Initial thoughts: I resisted mentally but complied with the program. Unfortunately fear and paranoia had me thinking it was a scam. As days passed and I went back to the binder of information they gave me and I started saying, "This is the most informative scam ever!" and I started laughing at myself for thinking it was a scam. As the change in diet + supps + cardio started altering my mind I was in the best place mentally I had been since I was 8 (24 years). Unfortunately a few weeks later I realized I wasn't comfortable with happiness - for me happiness is fleeting. So my paranoia started to kick in again and I stopped supplements and running. I always continued the diet because I believed in LabCorp saying that I had the MTHFR mutation. Thankfully Cat Edgerton exists. She is the program's Certified Nutritionist that you meet with several times during the beginning of the program. The office would check my vitals before meeting with Cat. Cat (with her beautiful soul) would compare stats and would ask questions about my recent efforts; How I was doing, how much water, how many number twos, etc. Then she would educate me on nutrition. The education is so valuable, it's a shame it's not implemented in schools. Anyway, meeting with Cat is always a pleasure and I end up feeling encouraged and motivated to do better. I'm so grateful to have met her. Nine months into the program: My body has never looked better and my mind has never been stronger. I still have a long way to go on all fronts, but I acknowledge my progress so far. Sure I've lost 45 lbs, but I only gave the program 60% compliance. Based on my body's responses to my efforts I calculated how much I could get away with not doing and not disappoint Cat. I don't suggest anyone do what I did because I only set myself back and for what? I know I could have crushed it, if I had a better commitment to cardio and actually weight trained. My mental health would be stronger if I had stuck to meditation. I didn't stay on supplements the whole time. My point is that this program deserves 100% compliance because then you get more out of it than what you pay for. Dr. Breen and his team gave me the tools to be a stronger better version of myself than I ever believed that I could be, and now I'm starting to gain some confidence and trying to love myself because I'm taking care of myself. I've now been in the program for around 2 years, and here's my feedback/review 1. I'm thrilled to be in the program and have made great progress: bodyweight is lower by around 20 pounds, bodyfat has dropped from around 18% to around 13%, have more energy, better mood, etc. 2. The nutrition program from nutritionist Cat Edgerton is awesome. She provides ideas for people who can't cook (like me) and kept things simple. Part of the program is regular visits with her to ensure that new eating habits become routine. It's a wonderful part of the program to feel you have a "teammate" that is on your side and wants to help you improve your life. 3. Dr. Breen and the NP, Zach Lott, go through your lab results in lots of detail. They run medical tests that most doctors don't run. Example-in my yearly physical exams from general practitioner doctors, I'd hear that my "bad cholesterol is a little high" and I need to "diet and exercise". But the tests run by Dr. Breen showed that I have a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol, which in 20 years no other doctor had bothered to test for. 4. So they provide remedies for the cause of the issues (preventative care), as opposed to prescriptions that just treat the symptoms. And here again you feel you have "teammates" that are looking out for you. 5. This is 5 star quality care, and you feel you have an entire team that is there to help you. *******June 2, 2015* I just received an email from Sean Breen saying that he was "pursuing me aggressively"" for my yelp review of my experience at his office. I have posted a picture of this email threatening me. Since he was my doctor at one point, he cannot say he did not know I have a serious medical condition that is well known in all medical literature to be worsened by stress; such as being threatened by legal action in an aggressive email. This is another example of how he responds to anyone criticizing him. He does not address specific issues that he says are not true; he just tries to bully the person instead of 1) using the feature in Yelp to explain "his side of the story" about what is untrue in the Yelp Review. In addition, if Sean provides his "proof" to me that what I wrote is not true I am happy to consider it and if indeed I am mistaken, I will edit anything that is false out of the review. This is my personal experience with Dr. Breen and his office and I write it so that others may be helped by what I write.****** Sean Breen dropped me as a patient, communicated to me through the secure communication feature of his website, after I had sent him a secure email through his system asking him for his license number. I check all my potential doctors with the medical board. When I searched the CA medical board, I could not find any information for a Sean Breen,and the "PC" after his name is a designation of his business structure. Breen doesn't respond well to criticism but takes it personally instead of as feedback on things that need to be improved. The first problem was finding the office; the incorrect suite number was posted on Yelp which is where I found this office. The next problem happened in the initial meeting with the Dr.; he would ask me a question and then not wait for me to completely answer, interrupting me repeatedly. I told him then, "You keep interrupting me" which he then said, "My wife says the same thing." I told him, "Tell her she is right". That day when meeting with one of the workers, she seemed so sad, depressed and overwhelmed, i felt sorry for her and gave her a bed bath and beyond gift card I had in my purse; she seemed to like me just fine then when I was giving her something. She said she would use to buy a new coffee maker! The next problem happened when they input my birthday incorrectly into the lab requisition, which is exactly why I was willing to pay out of pocket for care that did not include these types of errors routinely found in insurance issues. Then, while getting lab work, the lab told me, "Your doctor did not pay for the labs, you need to pay now in order to get your lab work done." After 1/2 hour arguing with the lab tech explaining the dr. office already collected money from me for lab work. I finally got a hold of Sean, who said, "You need to get aggressive with them" Really?? I told him, "I am NOT going to fight with a woman barely making minimum wage about your mistake." I guess it is okay to make other office workers cry by being "aggressive", just not his workers. Then, I asked him to write a letter explaining that I had bronchitis and could not travel; he then accused me of asking to do something unethical; forgetting that he did a physical exam and was the one who told me I HAD bronchitis. Then....there was the death of the husband of one of the office workers, and Sean seemed to think it was okay that his whole office came to a standstill; the workers were clearly not functioning because of the death but instead of taking time off to grieve, especially in the office of an "integrative" medicine doctor, they came to work and cried on the phone. Next, came the defensiveness to me asking me about his license number, and then...well, you get it. NEVER an apology, just expecting the patient to put up with all kinds of mistakes, and excuses, blaming others. Finally, even AFTER no longer being his patient, I have received two bills from LabCorp both in excess of one thousand dollars for money he supposedly paid...I now have a wonderful new doctor. NOT ONE ISSUE. Sean did not offer to refund ANYTHING: I demanded it and he did it. I think he knew he had made big mistakes including potential breech of contract since there was a written contract for 3 months of service; interesting that the reviewer below says she was told there would be a $300 charge if THEY break the contract but he doesn't pay money when HE breaks the contract. I had to start from square one with my new wonderful doctor who does NOT require a yearly contract for basically, nothing as Sean's office does. In addition, the office appointment is $150, not the almost $600 Sean Breen charges. My new doctor has a gorgeous office, local compounding pharmacy that delivers, and listens without interrupting. read more

Dr. Breen is legitimate and I highly recommend his professional care. Before beginning any type of therapy, I was experiencing debilitating symptoms that grossly affected my personal life, my demanding career, and my overall sense of well-being. I first expressed my issues to my primary care doctor, who absolutely would not address my symptoms because of my relatively young age. Rather, my primary doctor would just say things like "you're finally over the hill" and "welcome to the club"... What kind of doctor is this, I thought. I then approached a doctor who specializes in therapy for men and began a treatment plan that lasted for about 2 years. However, the treatment I was receiving was static and my symptoms steadily deteriorated over time. I would repeatedly express my worsening condition to the doctor but no efforts could be made to troubleshoot the problem and augment my treatment. Unfortunately, the doctor was unable to provide a more comprehensive therapy because my issues spanned outside the scope of his limited practice. Feeling lost and frustrated, I emailed Dr. Breen to see if he could help evaluate my situation and provide much needed help. Withing 24 hours, Dr. Breen personally reached out to me over the phone to discuss my concerns. He then encouraged me to come in for a complete exam, which consisted of a full blood panel and a comprehensive 2 hour physical. I was very excited to get my blood work completed, as I knew it would be more thorough and comprehensive than what my previous doctor could perform. Following my blood work and physical exam, Dr. Breen provided me with a written 15+ page analysis and action plan. I was thrilled to get his "hands-on" type report because it showed me that he really understood how to address the symptoms I was experiencing. I was very eager to begin treatment because I Knew that I had a doctor who was on my side. It's now been about 4 months since I began treatment under Dr. Breen's care. I have been a patient of Dr. Breen for a few months now. I had been feeling lousy for the better part of the last three years. I was putting on weight despite working out at the gym and was feeling tired and unfocused most days. I run a small multi-state business and my professional life can be very hectic and stressful much of the time. I called Dr. Breen because I was tired of feeling tired all the time. I wanted to explore why I wasn't feeling better and wanted to get my energy levels back (and weight down) so that I could be a better father, spouse, and boss. I did a lot of research prior to contacting Dr. Breen's office. I wanted to find a doctor that was qualified and had the expertise to discuss my unique medical issues. I also wanted to find a doctor that was passionate about what he or she does...Not someone going through the motions. Dr. Breen interested me because he seemed to have very progressive views and had a mindset that it was important to understand an individual and their whole story prior to treating them. I made an appointment and had blood panels completed. My first appointment was rough, only because I definitely have a phobia of the doctor's office. However, Dr. Breen could not have been nicer and more supportive. He spent a few hours with me discussing my blood test and getting to know me better. I was so accustomed to the traditional 5-10 minute doctor visits of my past, that this really surprised me. At any rate, before we finished up that day, I knew exactly what my issues were and what I needed to do to get healthier. There was no guess work, everything he stated was supported in my tests which I was provided a copy of. He developed a plan for me to get healthier which included diet, nutrition, supplements, exercise, and a prescription. Fast forward two months later, and I have already taken 21 pounds of fat off my body and added 9 pounds of muscle. My energy levels have increased and I am starting to feel better again. Dr Breen has a very specialized practice. To get a doctor who thinks outside of the box and who is personally avalable to you 24/7 it can be expected to pay a little more. Also insurance fails to cover preventative and anti aging type of care. I am an RN and personally have been in dr breen's program and have had excellent results. I look and feel better and I am very thankful for doctors like Dr Breen. If you're having issues with hormone balance or weight gain or really any type of health issue it would certainly be worth giving dr breen a try. read more
