Sean is truly the best of the best. He reached out to him for some lighting and a DJ for our wedding and boy did he deliver. DJ David was absolutely amazing at our wedding. While we might have had a smaller wedding, he made sure that the dance floor was packed the entire time! They listen to all the details of what we wanted and how we envisioned our night. Staff was also shot gunning beer in the parking lot and drinking our liquor and eating our food. One in particular was very inappropriate with our guests and was never kicked out after we brought it to Seans attention. Sean Michaels Entertainment Group is very reliable and they deliver as promised. I hired him for a surprise birthday party for my wife in Northwest indiana. My concerns were if they were going to be on time(a surprise party has to be timed just right), would the food be cold and would the DJ have the knid of music the guests would want to here. All my concerns were put to rest. The DJ was early and everyone loved him. The food was hot and good and the server was polite and professional and even helped clean up. We booked two vehicles for my March 30th wedding, one for our guests and one for our bridal party. Specifically, a 16 passenger navigator limousine for the bridal party, and a shuttle bus for my wedding guests. If the company were to have honored my contract, the 16 passenger navigator is what I should have received. Two days before my wedding, Sean called to change us from having two vehicles to one, which would mean that the bridal party would be dropped off at the reception center before any of the guests would arrive and would not allow us enough time for pictures. Shortly after the initial call, we received a second call saying that they would just send the two vehicles originally contracted, per our request. Thinking everything was going according to the contract, we received a call from the driver the day before the wedding again advising they wanted to send a party bus instead of a limo. I was adamant I did not want a party bus. He finally said he would send the limo instead of the party bus, as agreed and contracted. My mom called Sean to verify we were going be receiving the vehicles that were contracted, at which time he advised the company had SOLD the 16 passenger navigator and did not have an equivalent. We told them that we did not want a party bus and if we knew this was going to happen then we would have booked with another company so I could have what I wanted on my special day. Sean told us that we should just enjoy our day and be happy with the 2 vehicles being offered, arguing the offered vehicles are actually an upgrade. Ultimately, given it was the day before my special day, we stopped arguing and accepted what vehicles they offered to avoid the risk of having no transportation for the event. However, the vehicle that was sent was not sufficiently roomy for my 15 person bridal party. Also, the driver refused to transport us to the ceremony until he received the remaining balance of monies owed on our contract, despite us believing we were paying the two drivers / vehicles separately (lack of communication, but relevant when trying to get to my wedding). Further, our driver lacked customer service skills and was by far "friendly". My day was beautiful, but the limo company will not receive my business again. If you are wanting to book a company that does not give you what you ask for, then this is the place to go. If you are wanting something specific for your important day, then I HIGHLY recommend finding another company. read more

Booked Sean Michaels Entertainment for our wedding DJ in Sep 2017. Would definitely not recommend his services for anything. He was terrible to work with. For more specifics read below. I want to also stress that when working with other vendors throughout the wedding process, whenever we mentioned we were working with Sean Michaels, none of the vendors had positive reactions. Not a single one. Our first interactions with him were ok and he offered a very good (cheap) price for a DJ so we went with him. After that, we quickly realized that he was arrogant, a jerk, and not easy to work with at all. In retrospect, we should have sacrificed the deposit and found another at that point. He set us up with a DJ, DJ NRG (Matt) that we liked when we met him in person about a yr before the wedding, so we were happier. We tried to contact Matt multiple times after that throughout the year to coordinate, and never could get in touch with him. We told Sean and found out that Matt backed out, mind you this is 3 weeks before the wedding. Sean did not react well and was not pleasant to work with again. He did find another DJ for us. We worked with her for 2 weeks to coordinate, but unforeseen circumstances led her to cancel the day before the wedding. We call Sean again, and he proceeded to loudly (enough for the bridesmaids around to hear) and rudely explain how this was our fault and he never experienced a situation like this before. He was mad at us for this. He never offered to reimburse us or somehow say sorry. He never apologized. He offered to cut ties with us the day before the wedding leaving us without a DJ. We argued for him to fix it and he got a last minute DJ (DJ Tori) to show up. Thankfully she ended up being good enough and we had a good time at the reception. The limo service did not pick up our family and wore slippers. He could not drive the bus and asked a family member to back up the bus. Everything was great until the wedding bar was late to set up they had no clue what was going on. Called sean only for him to hang up. Very unprofessional then he lies to get out of having anything to do with it. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Now I NEVER complain about bad service or issues whatsoever...however... Sadly, we learned our lesson about Sean Michaels Entertainment tonight. Against our better judgment and all of the negative reviews we read, we gave Sean a chance--because he used to be our neighbor and childhood friend. My brother contacted him and asked for a quote from Crown Point to Tinley Park for a concert. Our original quote (which we have via text) was $230. My brother paid a $50 deposit to hold our date and we gave the driver an additional $200 upon arrival (tip to be given at the end of the night). We ended up leaving from Hammond (30 mins closer to the destination, but the price was somehow still the same). While we were in the concert our driver, who was super nice, texted to say he only received $200 and should have been paid $240. After the concert, I showed our driver the text strand and he said we owed another $40 per a conversation with Sean that night. I called Sean and he said the $50 deposit, which he said was required, was for the tip for the driver and didn't count toward the quoted price. The driver told us a different story and said that the price DOESN'T include tip and we should tip him in addition to that because Sean will only give him $50 from the money we pay for the night. This is contrary to what Sean told me 5 minutes prior. Even without the pricing issue ($60 more than the original quote), he said he would include beer in the limo for us--there was NO beer and no alcohol whatsoever. Also, the limo we took was old and had smudge marks all over the "bar" area and was super dusty. There were price tags on the bottom of wine and champagne glasses and none of them looked very clean. The outside window was rolled down at one point and we couldn't get it rolled up. The driver simply said the motor must be going out. The speakers had a weird buzzing sound and the whole thing was dusty on the inside. For nearly $300 PLUS TIP, I expected more. We've rented an party bus from CP to Chicago for that price. I tried to speak with Sean about our issues and he hung up mid-phone call. Oddly enough, I remember reading a Facebook thread in which many people complained about the exact same thing when trying to remedy their issues with this "company." I recommend staying away from Sean Michaels Entertainment AT ALL COSTS (because those "costs" will be ridiculously high, hugely unnecessary costs). Got this company for my wedding a few days ago. The price was very reasonable. I got a text from them at around 1:30pm saying that the party bus had some mechanical issue so we were stuck at church for almost an hour. I got worried that it wouldn't show up at all or it was a scam but eventually it did but I guess Sean called a different company party bus to pick us up. He said we will be getting our deposit back but we will see about that. If they knew they had some mechanical issue, they should have taken care of it right away knowing that we needed to be out of church by 1:30pm. We used him for an concert st Wrigley Field ..We got the limo as part of 30 th Birthday celebration for my daughter . I paid extra for him to pick up my kids in Frankfort and then us in Oak lawn. When they arrived by us , I found out that the air conditioning did not work, ( it was 85 degrees outside) the center door was not locking properly and opened twice while the limo was moving . The center privacy window did not work so we had to call driver on phone to direct him . The limo was old , it smelled stale and this limo appears no where on his page .. bait n switch . The driver was very nice but unprepared he could not find us after concert it took over 45 min . When I called Sean my only contact ,he said call my manager. The manager did nothing . I texted both Sean and the manager . The manager never responded and Sean the owner basically said we got you there and back didn't we . We paid for a limo that was in working condition . There was no resolution . I would NEVER recommend him to anyone . He does not care about clients , or the service he provides . One star because the driver was nice. The limo had no air conditioning. We booked for a bachelorette party with 13 girls dressed up to go to Winery's in Michigan. It was a 90 degree day. If you notice on his Facebook page that there are no comment or reviews allowed. Let me tell you why. I reserved Sean's white limo for a corporate event. After dinner we were going to a show. Two hours prior to pick up Sean tells me that he had to find another driver as there were issues with his car however, I was being upgraded to an SUV. Oh, also the driver was going be twenty minutes late. All during dinner the driver is texting me that his arrival time is getting later and later. I remind him that we have an 8p show. He finally shows up 35 minutes late and in a PARTY bus NOT a limo. I am transporting corporate people in a PARTY bus with a stripper pole? I advise Sean of my displeasure. We arrive at the venue minutes before the show with no time to do anything else but to sit down. During the show Sean is texting me. We board the bus after the show and the driver announces (to everyone) the balance that is due and that he is not leaving until I pay him. I never mentioned to Sean that I didn't plan on paying the driver. He did his job (although not on time and not in the vehicle I had booked). I believe he deserved to be compensated for his time and use of vehicle expense. Sean's Entertainment is VERY unprofessional and, if you want to actually enjoy your event with NO distractions....book someone else. You've been warned. I got married in September and used Sean Michaels for my dj and photographer. I saw his posts on a wedding Facebook group and stupidly gave him a shot. My fault for not getting references. When we first talked I had my reception venue picked out only and told him we were still looking for a ceremony site. I told him it was probably going to be in Shorewood, il and the reception is in Hickory Hills, il. I asked him if that would be a problem. He said no. He waits until 2 weeks until my wedding and asks me again where my ceremony is even though I called him months ago and we talked about it and he told me to just throw his dj an extra $75. when I tell him the ceremony is in Shorewood again he starts saying I never told him about it and raised the price to another $150. Mind you, I have proof that I told him it would be in Shorewood a long time ago. So wedding day is here, he notices i didn't hire him for my videographer and limo so he continues to make annoying comments about it the whole time we are getting ready. He tells me he has his manager and best dj for my wedding. LOL she messed up my ceremony music even though it was all written down for her. She dressed like she woke up after a night of clubbing and didn't bother to change. Short black dress with flip flops. Classy... and even though my husband and I wrote out all of our bridal party names exactly how pronounced and everything, she waited until we were about to be introduced into the reception to come as get all the names again and still messed it up. Forgot to introduce one of my sisters!!! She didn't announce the bouquet toss even when she played the song I picked for it. You can see me in my wedding video standing there like an idiot waiting for her to say something. Then to top off the whole night Sean Michaels who is personally photographing me wedding is drinking and having a great ol time while my day of coordinator is taking pictures. I have this all on video too. The pictures did get finished quickly but the quality was mediocre. I had nicer pictures from people taking them with their iPhones. Also one big thing a lot of people that attended brought up to us is that he answered his phone throughout the whole day. My husband and I got married on 10/7/17, we expected 160 guests that had a definite yes reply...we ended up having around 150. The caterers were supposed to be there 1-2 hours early to set up and 45 minutes before the ceremony 2 younger teens showed up with nothing, they had no food, no supplies nothing. Appetizers was supposed to be ready by 6:00 pm, they were not even there yet. They arrived at around 6:45 when dinner was supposed to be served, there wasn't enough for 150, little alone the 160 that we had requested. And they served our chips and salsa, which was supposed to be a late night snack. While this was happening, our dinner was being dished out and put onto a cart at around 7-7:15, okay I'm thinking they are finally serving dinner. NO! The food sat on the carts until it was cold before they finally began serving everyone. The salad was brown, they ran out of salad dressing after only serving half of our guests. Yes the food was very good, just late and cold! Our last guests were finally served at 8pm!! Dinner was supposed to be finished by 7:30-7:45!!!! Unacceptable! That's not all! We also booked him for open bar services! While they were there on time, they didn't have any sort of coolers to put ice in to keep drinks cold, they didn't have any wine openers, they ran out of the ONE liquor we requested to not run out of within 2 hrs if not less time of the reception. One guest ran to his home down the road and bought wine openers, and our groomsman went to the liquor store and spent $300 of his own money to purchase liquor that was out. Not only did all of this go on, but my husband was on the phone multiple times during one of the most important days of our lives talking to Sean Michaels, who assured us the issues would be fixed. Well after many calls to him, including calls from my mother-in-law, you want to know what he offered us? He offered to pay half of the money ($150) our groomsman spent buying liquor that he stated would not run out or he would personally deliver more, he didn't!! Oh and he offered a free limo ride to dinner on him! Are you kidding me, after spending thousands of dollars thinking our day would be great, was ruined by this guys terrible business, and lack of organization! Now it's 10/24/17, I figured whatever it was a loss we aren't getting anywhere with it, get over it! Well, I'm looking through our wedding photos from our photographer, and the only picture we got of my husband and I sitting at our sweetheart table, my husband was on the phone! I would suggest that no one use this company as the owner is very unprofessional and uses bait and switch to try and rip off customers. I never written a review in my life but I felt strongly that I should try to save other people the aggravation of dealing with this company. My daughter who is a young adult, 18 years old, made a reservation with Mr. Michaels for a limo for prom. She originally requested transportation for 18 people however 4 more seniors joined her group. My daughter texted the owner and he said 22 would not be a problem and would be the same size limo for the same price (we saved the text message). The DAY OF prom he contacted my daughter and accused her of lying and trying to rip him off. He was verbally abusive toward my daughter and was yelling at her. My wife saw my daughter becoming upset and she got on the phone with Mr. Michaels and he continued to yell and try to intimidate my wife. Because of his unprofessionalism my wife ordered a second limo to take the additional seniors. When the driver arrived he inquired why all the students in my daughter's party were not getting into his limo, When my wife said that Mr. Michaels said he could not fit more then 18 people. the driver, who was wonderful, said that is not true he can safely fit up to 22 passengers. In the end all 22 students rode in the limo that my daughter ordered. However we had to pay the deposit for the second limo that we had ordered. Prom is an awesome day for our children and this company added unnecessary stress, aggravation, and cost to the day. I was beyond disappointed with the service of SME for limo service on the day of my wedding. After securing his services 7 months in advance, I contacted him a week prior via email to secure times and locations of pickup and drop offs. He responds that we are all confirmed. The day of my wedding, the limo driver drops off the groomsmen and never comes back for myself (the bride), the bridal party, or my guests, as discussed. Instead the limo driver states he was never told he had to come back. Their excuse "we have seven other weddings and we are busy" I was beyond late to my first look (45 minutes) and missed countless pictures with my bridal party and guests because of how much time we wasted. I had to pack myself into my photographers car and get to the venue- while screaming at them on the phone. In addition, the limo was late, the driver was dressed like he had just gotten off of a 48 hour bender and he could barely walk straight.
