Horrible!! I used to go to this salon years ago and went to amanda. She was wonderful. Recently i called the salon again as i was looking for a nearby salon as my last colorist was in braintree and spoke with one of the owners who made me an appt with Meagan recommended highly. I made the appt , only to be surprised when meagan called me stating that we didnt have an "actual" appt but just like an interview. That was red flag #1. #2 i wanted to confide in meagan about my last hairdresser dennis in braintree who constantly missed or cancelled appts and wanted to find somebody who would keep appts. Meaghan seemed very sensitive to me in my opinion because she seemed to take offense when i asked her if she kept appointments!!! Please i was just making sure that my next colorist kept their appts . Red flag #2. Finally she cancelled her consultation with me stating that we werent a good "fit" but she never even saw me!! I was laughing...like is this girl for real? I would never recommend this salon as they all seem very unprofessional. read more

I went to Sean Michaels to get my hair done for my wedding a few weeks ago. My sister also got her hair done as my maid of honor. We knew about Sean Michaels because my mother is a loyal client (of 30+ years!) of Jayne, who is the owner. Jayne did my hair, and it came out beautifully, with the "Old Hollywood" glamour I was hoping for. I told her I was taking pictures on the beach and she assured me that even with my hair partly down it would hold - and it did. My hair looks beautiful in the photos. My sister was also happy with her hair. Besides the results, we also thoroughly enjoyed our visit, as Jayne is super friendly and lovely to chat to. Worst customer service. Made an appointment with a specific stylist 6 months in advance of a special occasion . Showed up and they had switched me to someone completely unknown. Then told me they didn't know why it was switched and no contact to let me know. Then said I could "come back". That's not happening! Why would you ever treat a customer like that? read more

I booked an appt 6 mo prior to an important event. I confirmed the appt on several visits leading up to the appt. I arrived the day of appt for the important event and the stylist had been switched. After months of visits and getting comfortable with the cut and color ....they switched and didn't even make an attempt to let me know. Clearly my appt was booked before these other ppl. They "moved" my appt and "crossed it out" with the stylist I booked with. No apology...nothing.....just said "book another appt". Well I don't have time to be running back and forth. Never again. This Salon is amazing. After having the same stylist for 20 plus years in Chicago I moved to Massachusetts and was terrified to get my hair cut as I loved my short cut and didn't want anyone to cut it the wrong way. I seriously considered flying back to get it cut... Then one Groupon later I took a chance and Tasha was exceptional. Even with my cut "grown out" she matched it perfectly and very patiently worked with me until I was happy.... Joyous does not even cut it, I am ecstatic to find this place and her. A million thank you's to Sean Michael's Salon and to Tasha. This Chi-Town transplant couldn't be happier!! I had a really fabulous experience here at Sean Michael's. I've been wanting to find a new salon and Sean Michael's is my new favorite place to go! I called in the morning and got an appointment for the same day! I had an AMAZING Groupon offer: $62 for a cut, blow dry, and highlight. I knew I wanted a new look before moving into my second year of college. I saw Kait and she did a fabulous job. She re-layered my hair and gave me fabulous and natural looking highlights. I recommended this place to my mom and sister and they went the next day and both look fabulous. This is a great place, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and great outcome!! Do NOT go here. Very rude! My husband bought me a Groupon for my birthday to get my hair done. I called to make an appointment and they refused to take me because I have been there before another time and Groupon was for first time users only. I told her it was given to me as a gift but she said she didn't care. Told me they would not take me and was very mean about it. I'm pregnant and was really looking forward to have some relaxing alone time at the salon. I would never give my money to a business that turns away customers like that and SO RUDELY!! I called Sean Michael's Salon on Friday at around noon and was able to get an appointment for that afternoon. I was assigned to Kate and I am so happy I was! She was FANTASTIC and did exactly what I asked her to do for a haircut. I showed her a picture from Pinterest and she was very knowledgeable in her response to how she could do that look on me. It is a nice salon and it is convenient if you live on the South Shore. I had a Groupon for a cut, highlights, and deep conditioning. The stylist was super nice and seemed to listen to what I wanted, however I wasn't happy with the results. I asked for a trim and ended up with 3 inches cut off. The cut is professional but I miss my shoulder length hair. My highlights are not light enough. My hair seems dry, so I don't even think I got a deep conditioning treatment. Nice salon and people but I don't think I'll return. read more

She did a fabulous shampoo, listened to what I wanted for a style and was easy to talk to through out the appointment. I wasn't made to feel like a burden because I was using a coupon or deal of the day promo, in fact, she was very welcoming of the offer. Came here recently with a living social and was less than thrilled with both the cut and blowdry. The stylist didn't ask many questions before she went at it with scissors and wound up giving me some all around angles or layers (she cut in a diagonal line all the way around) not not not not NOT what I wanted, I wear my hair braided at work. The blowdry looked half finished and had no bounce. She also never asked how I wanted it blown out, again, just asked if I wanted it blow dried and went at it. I wound up re-doing parts of it when I got home. She gave me a half off coupon I normally would use but if I went back, I'd want to try a different stylist as she seemed inexperienced. read more

Had My 1st Appointment with Amanda the day before My Sisters Baby shower that I was hosting. I usually get anxiety around people I don't know or 1st time situations. I felt welcomed & comfortable the moment they greeted me! Amanda was warm & friendly along with everyone else! Amanda is Amazing!!! I barely said a word but She KNEW what I was thinking!!! This is my first yelp review, I loved this place so much I wanted to quickly say "Thank You!" to Sean Michaels for such a lovely experience, especially Amanda! Amanda did a wonderful job on my hair, my hair was in rough shape after several bad colors from previous salons (a place in Norwell that rhymes with Mona). Not only did she cut off all the damaged hair, but she gave my hair a much needed deep conditioning and really explained what shampoos and conditioners would work best for MY hair type without sounding like a stylist just trying to sell a product. She was so friendly and easy going I felt so comfortable around her. Jayne was also super friendly and so cute, I just loved everyone there. Thanks so much again ladies, next time I'm home I'm definitely coming in! Oh, and as far as prices go this is literally the best salon I've ever been to...a little over $100 got me a full color, cut, blowout INCLUDING shampoo, conditioner, and a few samples :) read more
