I hired Marissa from Charlotte & Co. to do hair/makeup for my wedding day on August 2, 2014 and she was the best! I honestly cannot say enough about her and this company and do not know where to begin. I found Charlotte & Co through the Knot and hired her based on reviews from other brides. From the beginning, Charlotte was nothing but professional and responsive. She went out of her way to make sure I found a stylist who was the right fit for me on my wedding day and did everything she could to make sure I was happy and comfortable. This is how I ended up with Marissa and could not have been happier. When I first met Marissa at my trial run, I couldn't help but feel like she was someone I have known for ages. She is such a warm and friendly person and made me feel comfortable with her right from the start. Marissa really listened to what I wanted and worked with me to make sure I got the most perfect style for my wedding day. As a bride, with so many other anxieties, she made me feel at ease so leading up to my wedding day this was one less thing I had to worry about. On the wedding day, Marissa was on time and let her true talents shine as she so flawlessly pulled together such stunning looks for me and my bridesmaids. A couple of my bridesmaids were skeptical in the beginning because they couldn't imagine someone could do their hair/makeup in such a short amount of time but Marisa is such a natural talent that she had everyone looking beautiful in no time at all. Needless to say, they were all impressed with the final results. All I can say is WOW! Everyone in my bridal party looked stunning and I could not have been happier with the final results. We also loved the airbrush make up! I would definitely recommend this to any bride on her wedding day...it really does last all day and I didn't even touch up my make up once. I have never received so many compliments about my hair/makeup and neither have my bridesmaids. Hiring Charlotte & Company to do hair and make-up at our June, 2014 wedding at the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in Whitefield, NH was one of our best decisions. We were planning our wedding from over 7 hours away and were very unfamiliar with the area. Hair and make-up was by far one of the biggest challenges, trying to schedule trials and find someone willing to travel several hours to our venue. We also had a very large bridal party to accommodate. After several trials that went well, but just weren't what I was hoping for, we found Charlotte & Company, and I could tell from the first phone conversation with Charlotte that our search was over. Charlotte was very responsive and flexible. After my trial with Annemarie, I felt such a huge sense of relief, because Annemarie was able to create a look that was exactly what I was dreaming of. Annemarie and Nicky traveled over three hours to the wedding and they were on time, cheerful and kept our very large bridal party on schedule for all of their hair and make-up. Charlotte was also great in helping to organize a schedule to keep everything running on time. Annemarie did my hair and make-up, and it was exactly how she had done it for my trial, if not better. I was so happy with the look, she truly made me feel as special as a bride should feel on her wedding day. Nicky did the hair for the mother of the bride and all of the bridesmaids and Annemarie did all of their make-up. They kept everything on time, so there was no stress and they both were a lot of fun while we were getting ready and helped get the day off to a great start. All of the hair and make-up came out absolutely beautiful and myself, my Mom and all of the bridesmaids loved our looks. We started taking photos several hours pre-ceremony and Annemarie and Nicky stayed to do touch ups right before the ceremony. The hair and make-up lasted all day and night. I was nervous about airbrush, because I had never used it before and don't wear very much make-up, but I loved the look and it was very natural. I could not be happier with my decision to hire Charlotte to do hair and makeup for my wedding day. I have very curly hair and a lot of it, which intimidates a lot of hair stylists; so I was very nervous about finding someone to do my hair for my wedding day. But when I went to Charlotte for my hair and makeup trial she made me feel like it was no big thing. She did a great job managing my curls and styled my hair perfectly based upon a few pictures I showed her of what I was looking for. I also loved the way my makeup turned out, which again was based on a couple of photos I found online. On the wedding day, it was so convenient that Charlotte traveled to my hotel where I was getting ready, rather than having to go to a salon and run the risk of traffic, or my stylist being late, etc. Charlotte arrived right on time and quickly got to work. She did hair and makeup for me and my husband's mother, my sister's hair, and my flower girl's hair. Charlotte did a great job making everyone look their most beautiful! My husband's mother was not entirely sure of what she wanted, so Charlotte helped her to figure that out, and she did an amazing job!!! It was such a pleasure to have Charlotte there with us while we were getting ready. She is so friendly and easy going, which was definitely appreciated at such a stressful time! My wedding day was a bit windy, so I asked Charlotte at the last minute to stay extra time for touch ups. Charlotte altered her plans for the day in order to come along for family portraits and do touch ups! My up-do withstood the wind, no problem, but my husband's mother's hair was down and she really appreciated that Charlotte was there to fix her hair after the wind. She also touched up my makeup a few times, and after that, it held up for the entire ceremony and reception! I worked with Charlotte Phinney's team of Ann, Chris, and Kristen for my wedding day on 9/16. From the beginning, Charlotte was so easy to work with. She was very quick to communicate with and accommodating of my ever changing plans and timeline for the day. I also love that she accepts PayPal for payment, as all our other vendors only accepted checks. I live in Chicago, so trying to coordinate a hair and makeup trial was a challenge. Since I was only in the area for a weekend in July, Ann and Kristen were able to squeeze me in early on a Sunday morning before my bridal shower. Ann and Kristen were both great for my trial. I had a vague idea of what I wanted, coming in with a few pictures from Pinterest, not really knowing how to describe the look I was going for. They both got an idea of what I liked and worked with me to give me the hair and makeup I imagined. With all the things you have to worry about for your wedding day, after that day, hair and makeup was not one of them. On my wedding day, Chris, Ann, and Kristen all arrived right on time, and even in my disappointingly poorly-lit bridal suite, they were able to make all 6 of my bridesmaids, my mother and mother-in-law look amazing. Everyone came in with different hairstyles and looks they wanted, and these girls nailed every one. Ann and Kristen were able to recreate the look from my trial and it lasted throughout the entire day. I got married a few weeks ago and hired a couple of Charlotte's people (Cait and Annemaire) to do mine and my bridal party's hair and makeup. In short, I was extremely happy with the outcome and the overall experience of having them there. In detail: I had first scheduled my hair and makeup trial with Cait. I went out to their hub of operations and had a really nice time chatting with Cait while we tried numerous styles and various levels of makeup. Now, I am completely clueless/hapless/etc. when it comes to doing my own hair and makeup. Cait listened thoroughly to my disjointed desires and offered many opinions. She was also very kind when it came to my usual aversion to makeup, adding layers slowly and only going as far as I was comfortable. I was in after the trial. Come the wedding day, Cait and Annemarie came to us at the hotel and were able to set up shop in a rather small area. They were just as kind, fun, and welcoming to my friends and family as Cait was to me that first day. All my girls were able to relay what they were looking for with ease and have a nice chat while they were at it. As for myself, I felt pretty and comfortable...exactly what I wanted! Cait even airbrushed out my horrid tan lines for me :) I definitely recommend Cait and Annemarie via Charlotte Phinney, especially if you are looking for a relaxed, comfortable time and great results. read more

I had the BEST experience with Charlotte and her team, from start to finish. Charlotte is incredibly responsive and organized, and she was so kind to accommodate a last-minute request for more hair and make-up services AND a time change when plans changed a week before my wedding. The real MVP of my wedding experience, however, has to be Brian, who did my hair and makeup, as well as the hair and makeup for the majority of my bridal party (including my husband's hair!). Brian was absolutely amazing. He did a phenomenal job with my hair and makeup--I would say that just as many people commented on my hair as they did on my dress! At least two people called it "a work of art." Brian also did the hair and makeup for women in my bridal party who all had very different visions for their hair and makeup, and each person was ecstatic with the results. Marissa did hair and makeup for some of my bridal party as well, and her work was equally incredible. Interpersonally, both Brian and Marissa were also so kind and considerate. I got caught in traffic and was terribly late to my trial appointment with Brian, and he was SO kind and understanding, and put me immediately at ease. Really, I cannot recommend Charlotte and her team (and especially Brian and Marissa!) enough. Charlotte Phinney was beyond amazing to work with from start to finish! I had looked at dozens of different on location hair and makeup stylists for my September 2015 wedding. Once I found Charlotte and looked at her portfolio, I knew the choice had been decided! Charlotte did my hair, my mother and mother-in-law's hair and makeup, and my grandmother's hair and makeup. Ashley did the hair for my six bridesmaids. Charlotte and Ashley arrived ahead of schedule (30 minutes before they were scheduled to be there) and promptly began setting up and prepping. Both Charlotte and Ashley were so kind and genuine, creative, professional, efficient, and most importantly calm! They kept the day running smoothly and on schedule! Charlotte and Marissa were absolutely amazing for my wedding day! I could not have chosen a better team for the hair and makeup for myself, my bridesmaids and my mom. Having the ladies come to the house was just wonderful - we were all able to relax for the morning while taking turns having our hair and makeup done. It was a perfect way to start my wedding day. Charlotte and Marissa were prompt, professional and so much fun to work with. They did an outstanding job and everyone looked absolutely stunning. We were finished early, so they were even able to go back and do touch ups on anyone who needed them before we got dressed. A friend from work recommended Charlotte for hair and make-up. I'm so glad that she did! Right from the start, working with Charlotte was easy. The trial was great; she tweaked the amount/style of make-up so that the look was exactly what I wanted. My friend had mentioned that I should try the false eyelashes during the trial, so I figured this is the time to go for it. They looked amazing both at the trail and at the wedding! On the day of, Charlotte arrived exactly on time and was ready to get started. My mom and sister didn't do hair/makeup trials ahead of time, so Charlotte took the time to pause, ask questions, and make sure that they were happy with the hair and make-up as she was working (they were!). The makeup that Charlotte uses really stays on. I kept meaning to go to the ladies' room during the reception to reapply lipstick, but I was having too much fun. From the pictures, it's clear that the lipstain that Charlotte used stayed on. The airbrushed make-up also withstood the warm temps. at the outdoor ceremony. Charlotte, Marissa and Ashley did the hair and makeup of my bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, Step Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom and the bride (me). The entire experience working with Charlotte and her team was extraordinary. Charlotte did a cut and highlight for me in November 2014 at her Salon and I loved how perfect my highlights were and it was the best cut I had ever had. I then had a hair and makeup trial and she did exactly what I asked for from her looking at a picture. A few days before my wedding, I decided to change the style of my hair and I sent her a picture to see if the change would be ok and she once again did it perfect on the day of. Everyone's hair and makeup came out amazing. My mother is 64 (sorry Mom!) and she was absolutely stunning! Charlotte's team was just amazing. Annemarie did my makeup and hair for my wedding on 5/27/12. Charlotte, first of all, was great at communicating with me via email to answer all my questions and get everything arranged. I drove almost two hours for my trial appt. Some people might have thought I was crazy but it was so worth it! Annemarie was awesome. She is very personable, listened to what I wanted, and created just the look I was going for. She did a beautiful job with the make-up! I did end up passing on the airbrush make-up for the day of, it was a little too heavy for me, I wanted somthing a little more natural. (And she was fine with that.) Also I ended up changing my mind on what hairstyle I wanted for the day of. I was a little nervous about this as we had done something different in the trial, but Annemarie did a fabulous job and created just the look I had in mind. (And I'm very picky when it comes to my hair!) She also did 5 of my bridesmaids hair the day of- she was so quick but did a beautiful job on everyone- creating exactly the look each girl had asked for. I recently got married on the 3rd of September and I had hired Charlotte and her attendant, Julia, to do makeup for myself along with 9 bridesmaids and my mother in law. I can't express enough how wonderful both woman were! I currently live in NY but from MA where the wedding was held so finding vendors from a far proved to be a challenge. Mind you, the only other time I've had my makeup done was for a friends wedding last August so it was still a little foreign to me as to what to expect, price wise and quality. After TONS and tons of research I decided on Charlotte Phinney and I couldn't have been more pleased. My bridesmaids, who pretty much have all been a number of weddings themselves, couldn't have been more impressed either. My sister had used a makeup artist from Charlotte Phinney for her wedding day and loved the outcome. I decided to have a trial with another Charlotte Phinney makeup artist, Kristen. I immediately loved Kristen's personality, and knew she would be a great fit for my wedding day. About halfway through my trial, Kristen gave me a mirror to show me the progress. I knew at that moment that Kristen would be the one - even halfway through I knew she was remarkably talented! On the day of the wedding, Kristen did a fantastic job with all eight members of my bridal party. She stayed on schedule, yet was flexible and never made anyone feel rushed. Our makeup looked natural, yet substantial in pictures. Unlike other makeup artists, Charlotte Phinney makeup artists offer airbrush finish to add that extra finish to your look. I was also very impressed by the quality of products that Kristen used. Overall, I could not have been happier with or more thankful for Kristen and all that she contributed to my wedding day. The best hair and makeup team ever. I have been a bridesmaid in several weddings over the years, and Charlotte & Co was the best hair and makeup team I have ever worked with. Helena, Chris and and Kristen were unbelievable. They did hair and makeup for 12 women at my wedding, and every single one was beyond pleased with their work, which is rare - usually there is at least 1 who doesn't love their hair or makeup! They were professional and stayed on schedule, but also really fun to work with! I was worried about our hair and makeup lasting all day and all night because we started early in the morning, but it still looked perfect at midnight, the airbrush application is outstanding. I recently used Charlotte & her assistant Ashley for my wedding and I am so glad I did! I had a trial with Charlotte in February and she nailed the exact look I was imagining on the first updo we did. I don't typically wear a lot of make up so Charlotte did make up that was natural yet still beautiful. I got so many compliments on how natural my make up was and how it was very flattering. I loved the airbrushed make up; it covered my imperfections really well without looking overly made-up and my false lashes were so fun and completed my look. My bridesmaids also got their hair and make up done by Charlotte and Ashley and they looked absolutely amazing. Charlotte is one of the most professional people I have ever worked with. Charlotte and her team are AMAZING. I found out about them through a friend of mine. I found their prices to be middle of the road, I certainly found some less and more expensive, but with a personal recommendation I went with Charlotte's team. I had Lyndsay doing hair and Sara doing makeup. THEY ARE THE BEST. They did hair/makeup for me, my 2 maids of honor, and my mother and mother-in-law. We all looked amazing and were so happy with the whole look. They even made my mother happy, who is one of the most picky women I know!! Everyone felt and looked amazing.
