Sean O' Casey's is Awesome! The food is not only delicious but very reasonably priced also. I have tried many things here-corn beef and cabbage, Irish club, french dip, reuben, hot wings, loaded potatoes, and spinach & artichoke dip. All have been very good. I challenge anyone to find a better Reuben in Omaha. Definitely beats all places I have tried including Crescent Moon's Reuben which was SUPPOSED to be the best according to an Omaha World Herald writer who did a piece on finding the best. Of course they didn't try Sean O' Casey's. It is to the point where I can no longer stand ordering Reubens at other restaurants because of how disappointed I become on the lack of competition they hold against Sean O' Casey's. I'm not a big soup person but my husband always gets a soup and swears they are delicious. The atmosphere looks a bit outdated but is so very cozy. There is rarely a time when you can't find a seat because the place is huge. My only complaint would be that the parking lot isn't big enough for those nights when they get very busy. Usually very quiet in there except for when they have Open Mic Night. I avoid that night because it can get a bit loud but they have had some very entertaining singers there for it if your into that. The service is almost always great. There is only one server that can come off unfriendly but other than that the service is great. We have had one server in particular who has always gone above and beyond when we go in. My husband drinks a TON of water when we go out to eat and this server always stays on top of it and will even bring him his own pitcher sometimes. Staff is pleasant and friendly. Great variety of beers on tap and the staff is quick to suggest favorites. I have yet to find a better pub that is as relaxing, affordable, and delicious! read more

Okay so this place is really called Sean O'Casey's.. and it's great. We go here all the time. Although it's not gourmet, the food is above average. The menu is generally pub food. The real reason we go here is because it's nice and open, and it's quiet enough that you can have a conversation. Had an excellent double decker reuben sandwich. Thick and tender chunks of real corned beef, (not those paper thin grocery store sand wich portions.) Couple that with a crisp side salad and a glass of Guinness on tap, and I was a very happy guy! Staff is very courteous and friendly. I definitely recommend. read more

We went here on a whim one night since it is right across the street from our apartment complex. Wonderful service, great food and relaxing atmosphere. The server/bartender was very friendly and offered to serve my drink in a bigger glass as I was going through them fast. Side note- their apple dew drink is to die for if you like whisky. They have golden tee and darts and even on a Friday night, we had the privacy we needed. It's our new go to place! read more

Thursday is corn beef &cabbage with new potato. Triple decker Reubens are a marble rye work of art. Roasted Red pepper soup and other interesting menus items. Located north of oak view, worth looking for. Prices are reasonable. read more

Excellent food. Great atmosphere. At the top of its category, and on my list of places to hit when I'm in town.

Food was okay. Service was okay...I ordered the French dip. The au jus wasn't very good. Kinda tasted like soap (hard to explain but soap is the best taste I can compare it to). The meat was somewhat dry. Our server didn't seem too interested in her job...just there for the paycheck type of person...the men's restroom on the other hand....GROSS. Both toilets looked like many people had puked in them (sorry to gross you out, just being honest!) the bathroom was overall filthy. Floor was very gross I was so happy when I went to sink and there was actually soap. Because of the bathroom was so gross I do t think I'll be back. If they can't maintain areas like the bathroom and front of the house it scares me to even think what the back of the house would look like. read more

We ate at their prior location at least 50 times. It WAS our favorite place to go for: Great food Great service Great atmosphere Great specials It was a can't-miss spot. Since their move to the current location, everything has gotten worse. I've been there a hand full of times and will probably not go back. Reasons? Noisey Slow service Uninviting Flavor On a positive note, the Reuben and Guinness are still really good. But there are 3-4 other places that can do that. I hate that they took away my can't-miss pub. Husband and I got takeout for lunch and it was awesome! My Rueben was hands down BEST EVER! Not fatty like most corned beef sandwiches. It fell apart and was melted perfectly. He got the BBQ chicken sandwich and said it was grilled perfectly and sauce was sweet and tangy. We will definitely be going back!! I can't wait to try their corned beef and cabbage! Only slightly negative was a guy was trying to order a Guinness mixed with champagne. Bartender didn't serve it, not because it was sacrilegious, but because he didn't have champagne. Hands down the best Reuben you can get at any restaurant I've been to. The corned beef on this Reuben consists of large tender morsels of beef that literally fall apart in your mouth. Bartenders are great and will serve you quickly, and make great recommendations on new beers and whiskeys you haven't tried. Service has always been spot on. I've been in when the owner is present a few times and he is also friendly to talk to. They seem to get new kinds of beer in on a rotating schedule and there is always something new to try when I go back. Sean O'Casey's is quiet and peaceful about 99% of the time, the other 1% is St. Patty's day but it's still fun that day. The quiet and peaceful is a good thing if you are looking for a change of pace from the crowded downtown bars. The food is consistently as good as it was at the old location which is really what keeps this place in business. That being said..the service is as consistently horrible. Our waitress was clearly annoyed we were bothering her on a Saturday afternoon. We asked (twice) for ketchup and when she finally brought it, the bottle was extremely sticky and almost empty. She literally rolled her eyes when I asked for a clean bottle. We asked a question about something on the menu which was also very annoying to her. There was only two other tables seated while we were there, but could not get our unfriendly server to refill our iced tea glasses. Everyone can have a bad day, but this same waitress worked at their old location and her attitude and unfriendly demeanor was the same there. We may get take out from there, but won't be back to eat there anytime soon. There are too many good restaurants to choose from! read more
