He had the 1 extra part I needed in his truck, called me said he had and open appointment to repair earlier. Saved me an extra week with no fridge even i have an extra 1 in the garage. 6 days no fridge in the kitchen no choice. He always kept me up to date by texing. repair took about 2 hours. works great again.. Even though I had to wait almost 2 months for the washer to get back to normalcy, it was never the faults of the techs, especially James. Obtaining the parts timewise was the hangup. James worked his best with what came first but then got the washer working completely normal when the correct part and information arrived. Very pleased with Sears Appliance Repair. First and foremost, they have been the ONLY company willing to accommodate my ADA scheduling request (due to my disability). While my request is super easy to accommodate, all other companies refused to accommodate my request (even after offering to provide proof of disability). They insisted I accept their assigned time or forget it -- I guess they didn't think someone young could have a disability ... basically calling me a liar. So THANK YOU Sears for scheduling both visits at a time I was actually able keep :-) Additionally, their text updates are fantastic! Secondly our technician was kind, courteous, and came prepared. While I had hoped he had brought the needed part on his first visit (which is why I had answered all of the online Qs with great detail, including make and model #s and photos), he was able to confirm the issue and order the part before he left. He came back a week later to install the new part and was done in less than 15 mins. I loved the convenience of scheduling online, their willingness to actually comply with ADA in scheduling a compatible time-slot, their GREAT online and text follow-up, and our courteous technician who answered all of my questions and completed the job in a reasonable timeframe. I highly recommend Sears Appliance Repair and I would definitely use them again. PS/ The day after I scheduled online, a Sears Rep called to offer me a Sears Home Appliance Warranty that covers up to 10 appliances. The cost was reasonable ($50ish). I have been battling them for over 3 months to send someone to fix my mom's washing machine that has been broken. She has all the parts and keeps getting excuse after excuse of why the repair is still not complete. Sears is no longer in her state but she has paid for warranty services and can't get a resolution. This work was scheduled through our Lowes Extended Warranty. Sears technicians communicated well and were timely. My only complaint I'd they ordered parts that came in the day before our scheduled appointment. I received a call to contour parts arrived or they would need to reschedule. I called as prompted but there was no option to confirm parts were received so they canceled the appointment and I had ti reschedule. read more

Believe the negative reviews! We had a leaky Kenmore Elite washer with an expired warranty, so we took a chance on Sears Home Services to do the repair job. The first red flag should've been the crazy high $139 diagnostic fee, the second bigger red flag was when the technician texted that he showed up around 8:30 AM on the scheduled day and knocked on the door (my dad was home all day and he didn't hear anything), and the 3rd biggest red flag was when the hard-to-get-through-to-a-real-person customer service rescheduled us for another tech to return the same day before 9 PM and still, no repair tech! The replacement part arrived on time but no Sears person for the install work! My brother had paid in full because my elderly dad thought Sears was a reputable brand (NOT anymore!). We will probably have to pursue further action with the BBB or other consumer protection group to get our money back if anything. Sears Home Services is quick to make the repair appointment, but once they have your cash, you're no longer a priority customer to them. I'm now starting to suspect that most of their positive reviews are fake. read more

They have serviced several appliances in the house over the years, most recently the front loader washing machine. The circuit board froze. He removed the cover unplugged the board ,waited and plugged it back in. He could have charged me an arm and a leg...but it was a service call only. read more

The first person didnt have the right ladder to access the attic, allegedly. He also allegedly told the next tech he didnt know why he needed to go in the attic ( that is where the vibrations are coming from the furnace.) Then the next one came out 5 days later to say my dryer is in the way so he cant do anything. Liars. The NV energy rep was able to access the area with no issues. This lazy man called three times before and he should have just said he was not going to complete the job. Gross and incompetent experience all the way around. Do not use if you can help it. read more
