Looking on Yelp for Dishwasher repair services, Apex Repair Services was one of the first companies to populate on the search! I called as soon as Apex opened, around 8:00 A.M on Monday morning. I left a voicemail, but one of the team members had texted back to me immediately! I informed the team member at Apex Repair Services that the dishwasher was a Bosch, and that the panel wasn't working. The dishwasher sounded like it was running non-stop, with no leaks. IS APEX REALLY WORTH 5 Stars? I reached out to APEX based on their impressive 5-star reviews, hoping to become a satisfied customer and leave a glowing review myself. However, my experience didn't live up to my expectations. Here's what happened: I had an issue with my Whirlpool Gas Range, where the flames were unusually high and some of the starters weren't functioning correctly. Although the stove was technically working, it wasn't operating properly. The technician arrived for the appointment surprisingly early, precisely one hour and five minutes ahead of schedule, and immediately began working on the appliance. He suggested the appliance had a sediment buildup, grease and that orifice was clogged and leaving the unit running would fix the issue. Despite the technician inspecting the stove and following his recommendations of running all the burners on my Whirlpool range for over five minutes to eliminate any sediment or grease buildup, the initial problems persisted. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I even extended the duration to one hour and 20 minutes. Unfortunately, upon testing the appliance, I noticed that the two front burners still produced uncontrollable, orange flames, and the igniters remained non-functional. In essence, the technician failed to fix the issues with my gas stove. He provided a supposed quick fix that didn't work, and it seemed like he was in a rush to leave. After the technician departed, I sent him a text message informing him that the problem hadn't been resolved. Surprisingly, he claimed that the dispatch or front office had informed him that the burners on my stove were broken, and since they ignited, he no longer had any responsibility for my stove. It appears that the blame lies with the dispatchers for providing the technician with incorrect instructions. I was charged for the technician's visit, which I anticipated, and he also ordered a replacement knob for me, which I needed and the price was reasonable. Considering my experience, I am unlikely to hire APEX for another job in the future. Furthermore, I wouldn't recommend APEX to my friends or neighbors based on this particular experience. Additionally, I would like to mention that throughout the entire interaction, the technician's demeanor seemed dismissive and uninterested in resolving the issue satisfactorily. It was evident that he lacked the necessary expertise and professionalism to handle the job effectively. The fact that the technician placed the blame on the dispatchers only further highlighted the lack of accountability and coordination within APEX. It is disappointing to see such a lack of ownership and responsibility for their own mistakes. Overall, my experience with APEX was highly unsatisfactory. The technician's inability to fix the problems with my gas stove, coupled with their dismissive attitude and the apparent disorganization within the company, has left me with a negative impression. I will be exploring alternative options for any future appliance-related needs and advising others to do the same. I do not recommend this company at all. Yesterday they were suppose to send someone out to fix my dishwasher and it didn't happen. So they rescheduled me for today at 12 noon and I just received a call from their tech Mario at 2pm stating he wasn't going to make it today either. After moving my work schedule around twice and scheduling other appointments I am very unhappy. When bringing it to their attention it seems as though there is nothing trying to be done to make it right or help me at all. Apparently they only have one tech. My LG fridge went out and Apex sent out a tech within 24 hours! Mario was fantastic and honest and quick! The good-parts and labor were covered-the bad-Apex was not an authorized installer so though they could do the job -the labor would have been at my own cost. So I was forced to go with another to finish the job. Apex was extremely apologetic and offered to refund the service call charge. I refused as the other company will be receiving all costs and in the least for their time-Apex deserved to be compensated. If you can't pull the dishwasher out you can't diagnose the problem - but they still charged me a service call. Didn't offer to call and get someone else or someone to help. Wow! Great service and they fixed a very complicated problem with a 28 year old built in refridgerator. They don't make parts for the fridge anymore so a circuit board had to be sent out and rebuuilt. Very pleased with their dedication and efforts to fix the issue even though it was a difficult one. They made sure it was fixed right before making my final payment. So nice to find a family run business like this one that cares about the customer and does a good job. I had them fix another old fridge I use in tgarage just for drinks and excess groceries. Las summer they fixed that one and did a great job on that one too. I highly recommend them. read more

I have been having issues with my dishwasher, and was at a loss at how to fix it myself. I thought maybe something was stuck in the drain line, and my dishwasher hadn't been fully mounted. The repair person (I forgot his name, sorry!) arrived promptly, and was able to quickly fix the issue and he mounted my dishwasher properly for me! My standing freezer which I bought in 2010 broke down due to the evaporator unit and rusted coils. Both needed a replacement. Sara was very helpful and explained all the costs associated from the initial visit to the follow up repair. Ultimately, it is up to the customer to determine if they want to either buy a new appliance or get the one on hand replaced. After doing my homework, getting a replacement with the same size would be too costly. I went with Apex and my freezer is working great. read more

You know there's trouble when there's water on the floor by the fridge (melted ice), so I called Alex. He was the only guy who said he could come out that day. He also charged the least ($60) for a diagnostic. He said that there might be a freon leak but realized I may have already fixed the problem myself by cleaning the coils and unplugging it, so we decided to plug it back in and see if it could achieve the right temps over the next 48 hours. Just 24 hours later, I knew it was still broke, so I asked him how much it would cost: $456 minus the $60 for the looky look. Expensive? Yeah. Compared to others? Not really. He came out the next morning, repaired the leak, and refilled the Freon. It's been more than a month, and both fridge and freezer are working perfectly. read more

We had our dryer fixed back in October, I believe it was the pulley replacement. The technician was ok. I tipped him and still complained about the dryer making loud noise, but less than before. He said, he didn't know what I wanted him to do. So he left our house and I called the company within 5 minutes of him leaving. They called him to go back. He was still outside. He comes back in...not happy and said he'll replace the new pulley with a new pulley. It was a very awkward experience for me. Finally, it didn't make a sound. He agreed as well. About a month after the warranty ended, the dryer started to make the same sound again. I called them to see if there was anything they could do since it was only a month after the warranty. I already knew the answer to that, but I did it anyway. They told me I have to make another work order and pay everything again. I think it would have been cheaper if I purchased a new dryer if I had to call service on the same thing twice. I ended up buying all the replacement parts that could go wrong for about $200 and did it myself. YouTube University. It didn't take me too long and it's not that hard. Their machine directs you to leave a detailed message, when they finally call you back they ignore your detailed message which asked for a price quote on a very specific job. They just say "call us." When you call them again during business hours as always they do not answer again. If you want your job done within a reasonable amount of time, I would not recommend calling this company. read more

So happy we found Apex! Very responsive, easy to schedule. Mario came out to diagnose the squeaky squirrel sounds emanating from our dryer. He found a weakened drum support, had the part in stock & fixed it quickly and at a reasonable price. Our dryer works great! Our refrigerator/freezer went out. Everything melted and was going bad I checked Nextdoor and Yelp for recommendations for repair services and noticed good reviews for Apex so I gave them a call. I quickly received a text reply and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Our technician, Song, arrived promptly at 9am (they told us between 9-12). Right away he warned us that it would unfortunately, most likely he bad news, but he was going to check everything just to be sure. As predicted, our compressor was out‍Dong was great. And very honest! He explained how to call LG about covering the parts. (I had all my receipts from buying the fridge from Home Depot only 3 years ago). He told me that the customer service at LG might be aggravating but try to stick with it. He also had a quote sent to us just in case LG wouldn't cover the repairs. Lucky for us everything was covered under warranty, but we wouldn't have know to call LG, and stick with it, without the honesty of the advice of Song from Apex repair. I called Apex over the weekend for my noisy Samsung dryer. It's 8 years old. Lots of belt, pulley and roller noises. Apex call taker was patient, receptive and accommodating. Appointment was made for a tech to come out to my home on Monday morning. I was called on Monday morning to confirm; and the tech showed up right on time. The tech was a pro in his appearance and with his diagnosis. He started working immediately and was efficient with his disassembly to get to the problem. He showed me the rollers that were causing the noises and also explained all the other parts of my dryer and what they do. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He said he had all the parts and would fix everything in that visit. He replaced everything-good as new, and brought in a shop vac. to clean up the inside of the dryer and the space in my laundry room that he was working in. I was blown away by this guy and his high quality of service. He tested the dryer and made sure the computer display was in order. He made sure the heating element was working properly also, while making sure the dryer tub was no longer making the grinding noises that I called him for. I gladly paid him and assured him that he had earned a repeat customer if I ever needed appliance repairs in the future. Thank you "Song!" (his name) I will recommend this company for trustworthy and quality service. Very satisfied with the efficiency and honesty of this company and their service fees. Well thanks to Yelp reviews I called Apex for a clothes dryer repair and and oven repair. I had had some issues finding a company to use (I did not use Yelp) and it just did not work. I called Apex and they came right out and knew exactly what was wrong with both units in Under 30 minutes. They needed to order parts from out of town which took a few days. What really amazed me was I called on a Holiday and left a message and two hours later I got a call back. While the techs were not working the office staff was checking voicemails. I was floored by that. We set up appointment and tech came out later that week and did an awesome job. He called prior to coming with an exact ETA and was done quickly and efficiently.
